Orbis Stamford in South Kesteven

Orbis was a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend the mini tacos, the bang bang cauliflower, the cornflakes chicken- all of it actually. Amazing and creative food, all gluten free. It’s got a pretty dining space with rooftop that would be really great in summer, right in the center of the charming town of Stamford.

We had an amazing experience at orbis last night! The food was just amazing. The girls worked really hard to made my birthday special. Hollie was so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the food and drinks and explained the concept to us so clearly. Millie (I think her name was - she was training) was amazing too, so friendly and smiley. I felt so comfortable and welcome there which means a lot for someone who gets a bit anxious going out for meals😅 11/10 for food, service and restaurant overall. We will definitely be back! Thankyou!

Really lovely fusion food. A mix of Chinese Thai and Mexican. Tacos. Bang bang cauliflower and lots of lovely dishes. It’s best to try a lot and share with others. Disappointing dessert but otherwise great meal.

We couldn’t resist Orbis’s special offer Lunch for Two and were pleased to be able to choose our favourite dishes at a very affordable price. The Bang Bang Cauliflower is still our number one choice, with Slow Cooked Belly Pork coming in a close second. The service is always friendly here and we had a lovely table by the window to do a bit of people watching 😃. We’re so pleased this restaurant is close by and have already made our next reservation.

I really can’t understand all the good reviews about this place. Although the food was unusual it was all delicious but the service was very rushed. When we booked our table we were told that we had the table for 2 hours which we thought was fine but as the food came so fast , we were finished our 4 course meal in 45 minutes. My girlfriend and I are not slow eaters but the food came one after another before we had gotten halfway through the previous one. This place could be a really nice restaurant as it was very nice and had a very romantic atmosphere. However we will not be eating there again because of the service. Shame as the food was very good.

We’ve been fans of Orbis since it opened and the food just gets better and better. For the first time we went for one of the set menus. Choice of small plates was spot on - tacos, gorgeous prawns, cornflake satay chicken and the famed bang bang cauliflower amongst the line up. Plenty of food, they were flexible and let us swap out a dish. We love the cool interior and the staff are always great. Thanks Orbis 🙏🏼

Orbis is a beautifully decorated, quirky building. Very welcoming & comfortable. Staff were amazing, attentive & knowledgeable about the products that they offer. Great to share dishes with friends & try new things. Highly recommend the Mac & cheese & the portobello mushrooms.

Visited for the first time last night staff were great, food was delicious and cocktails weee unbelievable. Would highly recommend and definitely will be returning.

After passing by this restaurant hundreds of times on our way to/from town - and after reviewing the menu on the wall most times - I am pleased we finally made a booking. We enjoyed every plate we had chosen (though a special mention is merited by the Bang Bang Cauliflower and the Slow Cooked Belly Pork) and the Porn Star Martinis were a great start to the meal. The service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant, even though we had opted to go early doors. We look forward to returning soon!

Hi we came for my wife's 50th on the 4th , the service and atmosphere was just great. On the ball : but not too on the ball. The acoustics in the venue are I have to say just lovely ....for the slightly older man woman . And if your gf or non gf the food we ate not for the 1st time just great.... Thanks guys and gals. Great food catering for Coeliacs, Vegans and Carnivores alike. Stunning food and wonderful service. Great that my wife who is coeliac can eat and drink without a care and the rest of us had just as much fun. Must also mention the Manager who dealt with difficult customers without fuss and ensured everyone (including the difficult customers) enjoyed their meals.

Lunch for 2 on a quiet Friday was amazing. Service on point and food super delicious. Set menu for 2 (£60) delivered more than enough and an incredible array of tasty food. For a Coeliac and someone who eats dairy and gluten free Orbis is an incredible restaurant but aside from allergies…. It’s just super tasty food!! If you haven’t tried it yet you’re seriously missing out!

Omg what a great day my first ever BRUNCH with the girls loved every moment felt welcome instantly by all the team hollie showed us to our table all set up perfectly then explained how the experience was to follow no confusion at all food was really good and the cocktails were lush it was RUM AND RAGGAE theme so all the menu was themed around that and I wouldn’t usually have rum based cocktails but thought let’s give them a try, they were beautiful. Came in for brunch, as have been before and was really impressed. Sadly, this time we were not. We were really excited when this opened as it promoted itself as having gluten and dairy free options available and seen on the menu! However, maybe it was just this visit, but it seemed like this was different. Things that we wanted couldn’t be done, and ended up with chips for brunch, plus the waiter said they had no alternative milks. Quite disappointed as really enjoyed our last visit

My boyfriend and I had an amazing meal here. I am allergic to nuts and am also gluten intolerant and have a digestive condition so eating out can be difficult. However, I was made to feel at ease here and I could feel relaxed about ordering and eating out at a restaurant. We shared tapas dishes including the duck tacos, pulled pork doughnuts, smoked mac n cheese, jerk chicken and patatas bravas - all were cooked beautifully and were full of flavour. Make sure you save room for dessert as the choices are amazing! A huge thank you to Poppy for being such a great waitress. We can’t wait to return :)

We visited for Valentines and as usual we were not disappointed. We opted to eat from the main menu rather than the Valentines special, but liked the look of the Red Snapper from the set menu so our fabulous waitress spoke to the chef and a few minutes later we were eating it! And it was superb! We tried the Rump cap from the new menu and it was just melt in the mouth delicious! Of course no visit is complete without the Bang Bang Cauliflower and Cornflake Chicken! We couldn't resist trying some dessert (even though we were already stuffed!) and I even finally got round to trying the "liquid dessert" Crunchie cocktail and OMG it was amazing! Not only was the food delicious out waitress Poppy was the Best! Nothing was too much trouble, her recommendations were spot on and she really made our visit extra special. Thank you to the whole team for yet another fantastic dining experience!

Food was excellent but the service was lack luster. We order a round of drinks when we first arrived along with water which never arrived. Not once through out the hour and a half we were there was we asked if we wanted any more drinks or have a check back on the table. One of our courses came out while my partner was still eating her main. At the end of the meal we were left for nearly half an hour with empty glasses and empty plates, while four members of staff proceeded to not acknowledge that we were finished. Had to go upto the bar to ask for someone to come over to us by this point we were frustrated. We were then charged for drinks we did not have. Overall a bad experience for a couple who have a new born baby and don’t get to go out much to have on a special night like Valentine’s Day too.

I would really like to thank the Orbis Team for making our friends 50th birthday brunch so special. Welcoming from the offset and accommodated our table of 10. The food was exceptional and the cocktails are delicious. Non alcohol drinkers are also extremely well catered for with an extensive mocktail menu. What a lovely dining experience - we will all be back! Thank you

Orbis is a great addition to Stanford’s eating scene! The decor service really add to making this experience really special! The sharing food is always delicious and varied so that even the fussy eater in our group was able to find dishes they liked! The cocktail menu is superb, with lots of choice! We visited for a birthday and the staff arranged a small complimentary drink for the birthday girl - a nice touch!

Food and service were excellent. Should have been 5 stars but for the toilets! Had we been there before ordering would have walked out!! Very disappointing but not an issue that is easily rectified.

Very pleasantly surprised, the food was excellent, fantastic vegan options and I enjoyed everything, and coming from someone that gets anxious about the whole sharing concept, that it high praise! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only thing I would ask for is more vegan deserts, just having sorbet is a bit of a cop out!

We held a professionals “do” upstairs with circa 50 people. Orbis could not have been more accommodating. Fantastic evening where the food was magnificent and the drinks expertly mixed/served by Holly & Georgina - who also provided exceptional service with a smile.
