Great food, could probably do with more staff on a Saturday night.

Missed chips off our order, so had to ring the place itself in order to get the chips delivered. was told sorry the chips were missed off the order. but will have to wait twenty minutes for them to be delivered. first time we've ordered from here .

Lovely atmosphere & settings the staff were very polite & professional and service was quick and of a good standard. The food was amazing and good portions and hot and presented well on your plate. The wines we ordered was of good quality and we had a lovely meal. Re- booked, highly recommend.

Delicious wings, excellent sauces to go with and great cocktails. I’ll definitely reconsider it !

Nice place and I would have had a nice meal but the ribeye I ordered medium rare (£28!) came blatantly medium. I politely told the waitress and she was like 🤷🏻‍♂️. I was like, ok, but when the bill came asked if it could be fed back to the chef and 5% be taken of the steak price – a reasonable compromise i thought. Instead the waitress told me I’d said the food was ‘absolutely fine’ (ermm no!) and that I should have explicitly sent it back to be binned and for a fresh one to be cooked. In my way out I spoke with the manager saying I’d learnt my lesson to kick up a fuss straight away rather than let my concerns just be dismissed (though when you pay so much for a meal that’s not what you expect!), and I also suggested feedback to waiters that if a customer expresses discontent with the meal they proactively offer to replace the dish, given their intransigence after the fact. The waiter, who was doing the rounds when i was saying this, overheard but straight over to say it was my fault for not insisting on a full replacement dish at the time. 5% reduction of the steak price (£28!) i asked for, after she didn’t take my initial feedback anywhere 😅. Really poor service.

Not nice at all the lasagna smelt and tasted so off not right at all. Doughy pizzas claiming to be mozzarella with cheap orange cheese so disappoint because we’ve heard good things

Amazing food for the 5 course banquet. The staff are lovely and really helpful. Service was quick. We will definitely be returning!

It was a meal of a lifetime for us and absolutely sensational! My only slight disappointment was that we had no room for cheese at the end. We decided to try both wine selections: one opting for the cellar wine pairing, and the other for the standard wine pairing. Both were fantastic and included a creative selection, featuring Lebanese and Estonian wines I had never tried before, as well as an ice cider from Quebec, Canada. Every dish was presented in its own unique way and was a delight on its own. Thanks so much to everyone for making our evening special!

Good food, amazing carvery nice and local to Burton, Swadlincote and surrounding villages. Also friendly staff who go the extra mile. Highly recommended.

Tasty breakfast we came here twice after being disappointed with the offerings from the on-site café at the campsite we stayed on. well cooked food and good menu choices. Good value. only slight criticism was quite a long wait for our food but may have been down to fewer staff on one day. will return.

I'm not a local, but whenever I'm in the area I make a beeline for Turner's! Fantastic battered plaice fillet with chips and mushy peas, a bread roll and a cuppa tea. The fish was fresh, hot and very tasty with nicely browned chips and sweet mushy peas. A lovely soft roll with butter made for a lovely chip butty. Good portion size, plenty for a normal appetite. A fresh brew to wash it down. Very clean inside and attentive service. The carrot cake was also delicious. Yum yum 😋

Great food. Excellent service. Entertainment was okay but should have been on while we were eating.

A nice beer and a bag of nuts on a walk around the lake. Nice warm log fire. Might grab some lunch here next time. 😊
