San Rufo's Skegness in East Lindsey

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and we went to celebrate exam success. The food is cooked fresh and is absolutely delicious. Staff are prompt and very attentive

We were delighted to find the restaurant busy and bustling on a Monday evening. We were a family group of five and were made very welcome on arrival. Our meals were excellent and the service was friendly and very efficient. We certainly will return as we believe this is certainly the best restaurant in Skegness and we all had a great evening. The menu suited everyone and the desserts were wonderful. Thank you to all concerned.

This restaurant is a remarkably good Italian Restaurant It is modern warm and spacious The staff are so friendly and helpful and service is quick The food is the star above all this. Really, really high quality, well cooked food that is delicious and the portions are great You will thoroughly enjoy your visit and be really pleased with the pricing Each time we visit family in Skegness we aim to eat here, you should do the same.

We love this place, we now go for both our birthday s and wedding anniversary, and in between have taken friends and family, this was our 56th wedding anniversary, and for a change we went on the lunch time, just as good as always, lovely guy served us, made us feel special xxxx

Absolutely outstanding food and service. We was recommended by a family member and we went twice in 5 days that we visited Skegness. Highly recommend. The staff could do enough for you and so welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to come back to go again.

I've been here many times, both sit in and takeaway, and it is for me without doubt the best restaurant in Skegness and one of my favourite restaurants anywhere. The food is superb, the service is friendly and I can literally find nothing to fault. It's even cheaper on price than some. This is how dining should be done.

Felt very full after eating here, but our visit I felt broke the bank. Went with a budget of £80 for mains and desserts, but was over this amount by £5. Seemed more expensive than our last visit only last year and we felt the food was not as good. I had the Salmon Pasta which was lovely and tasted divine. My son and partner had pizzas but these were very oily, the toppings just slid off and they were far too hot to handle and eat. Puddings were very filling. A bit disappointed this time round I am afraid.

Beautiful Restaurant, great atmosphere, fabulous food, very welcoming friendly staff. Cannot fault whatsoever. I have eaten here many times and every time it has been gorgeous. Recommend 100%!!

Very disappointed. On holiday and thought we'd treat ourselves to a nice takeaway. Read very good reviews of this restaurant so presumed it'd be great. Ordered lasagne, chips and garlic bread. Very reasonably priced. Garlic bread and chips great but lasagne horrible and I am not a fussy eater! Burnt on the bottom of the container which you could taste, sparse big lumps of Mince, no bechamel sauce and padded out with tons of pasta and chopped tomatoes. No cheesy goodness...! Such a shame. Staff were delightful and restaurant looks lovely but for an Italian restaurant they really need to do something about their lasagne!

First visit, definitely would not return, table not ready on arrival, had to wait in very crowded doorway where people where waiting for takeaway, where everybody was demanding money back because they where waiting far too long, had to move into restaurant area ,so was crowded around people already eating, staff then asked rudely why we where their , finally seated, (next to toilets , door constantly left opened behind us)waited 10 mins to be asked for drinks , another 15 mins to take order, waited 40 mins for starter ( which where delicious ) Then patiently waited another 40 mins for mains, by which time other tables where arguing about waiting times, by this time we had gone past it, so when meals came out hardly anything was eaten on the table . Nearly 3 hours and only once we where asked for drinks, had to approach the bar ourselves , couldn’t wait to get the bill and get out, .Basically the place is far too busy, get rid off half off tables because everybody is sat on top off everybody , no room to move , don’t overbook yourself and concentrate more on giving paying customers a better service because the food is worth returning for but the experience definitely is not.

Table booked for 545pm was told when sat at table only could stay until 730 was not informed this when pre booking else would gone somewhere else!said we would like 30 mins following starter came straight out within few mins if wanted fast food would gone McDonald's! Food average/bland. A staff member smelt of body odour!

Had a meal at San Rufo's recently and cannot fault it. We had the fillet steak and trimmings, and tbh could not finish it all. Definitely will be back.

Visited in June and enjoyed a beautiful meal, with great service. Returned with family raving about how great it was. Started well with drinks and starters served in a reasonable time. However waited an hour for our mains, eventually stopped a waitress who went off to find out what was causing the delay. She returned with our food within 30 seconds apologising that whoever had cleared the starter plates had not told the kitchen we were ready for mains. After eating we were kept waiting for over 20 minutes for dessert orders to be taken. The kids were very restless so I went to the bar to enquire and was told they were waiting to serve a birthday cake to the table that I had left behind the bar. Had the cake and abandoned any hope of dessert and went over the road to buy ice cream from the co-op. Paid the bill and complained that we had been in the restaurant for 2.5 hours, there was no acknowledgement of the server error not even a complimentary drink. I asked that we should receive a goodwill gesture and was told that I had no idea how much stress they were under. Begrudgingly the lady reduced the bill by 20%. I was so excited to revisit and so disappointed with the experience. If you cannot provide the right guest experience don't take the booking, acknowledge mistakes and endeavour to correct them.

San Rufus is an amazing authentic Italian restaurant, the quality of the food and drink is fantastic. The staff are all so helpful and really look after you. We always go when we stay at the Lincolnshire coast. Thank you for always looking after us...

The food served to us was very good but our evening was spoilt by the lengthy wait (60 minutes after ordering) and one of our meals arriving 5 minutes after everyone else. No members of staff were concerned about the lengthy wait.
