Good food, amazing carvery nice and local to Burton, Swadlincote and surrounding villages. Also friendly staff who go the extra mile. Highly recommended.

We came for the Wednesday night quiz and a carvery. Both were excellent. And I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

We came as it was a Halloween treat and we were very impressed all staff were fab , really helpful snd friendly especially Daniel I think his name was behind the bar. We had a carvery and it was absolutely delicious so good value, we also had burgers and kids meal which again were fab. Great service great meal.

Family had a lovely carvery. Gammon was to die for. Staff were welcoming. Nice, quiet and clean. Guy carving the meat was very polite and chatty. Will be back again soon.

We visited on a Sunday night I ordered the spicy chicken burger with Mac and cheese filling Hubby had mixed grill. We had wanted a carvery but as we arrived a bit too late a lot was missing so will return and will definitely book for earlier. The lad who served was very friendly and apologised for the lack of carvery. Our food was all good and we were impressed with the portions and friendly staff.

Excellent food, good vibes in the pub as always. We especially love the service from Taylor (the best worker in the place). She always takes care of us if we ever have a problem. You cannot beat a night out at the Chesterfield.

This spot good for a quiz and a drink! The carvery is good value for money. Recommended to bring all your friends and family

Very disgraceful customer services from both new manager and old/ new employee! “Dee” - manager and “lee” front of house nee member! I placed my order around 4:30pm on Wednesday 20th September and my FIVE SIDE DISHES took up until near 5:45 to come to the table when the pub it’s self was extremely quite at the time with more than enough staff on shift! When manager “dee” asked if everything was ok. My friend said yes with her mouth full of food meanwhile I’m trying to complain about the wait time and this manager walks off from me and doesn’t take the time of day to listen to a CUSTOMER! I will not be visiting this pub again and I do not think it’s a suitable place for people with mental health as this isn’t acceptable service when theys hardly anyone to serve! Food was cold when came out and I left in tears as I have depression and everything is intense! Never again! I have tried to go in and speak to the general manager “Sophie” but she was far too busy to want to communicate with said situation! And when you leave a bad review after they ask for one. They ban you and don’t lift it even after a year.

Great valve for money. Kids loved the carvey and the deserts. Friendly staff and a good pint. I highly recommend and we will be back in the near future.

Had the carvery , good value and selection however the food is never hot enough, plates are cold . We have been visiting here every month for the past year but unfortunately even after mentioning this problem to staff members we are still experiencing the same problem, so will be going elsewhere for our monthly meet ups

Everyone was lovely and welcoming. And the food was fresh and hot and tasted beautiful. Only downside was our eyes being to big and put our selves in a food coma lol shout out to the tall tattooes chef 👨‍🍳 banta and definitely not stingy when it came to dishing up

The Chesterfield has a great atmosphere to it with excellent staff (especially Taylor and Brayden). The food is always pretty good and if you have any issues, the staff are quick to sort it out for you. Great pub to go out with friends and family.

This place never fails. Hardworking staff and a fantastic Carvery every time . Bit rude of myself because I never even look at the menu because the carvery is so good .. Welcomed with a friendly face at the door by Dee who also took my food and drink order . Chloe was also working hard behind the bar. Other staff very friendly. Took a risk tonight by calling in without booking but it paid off. Carvery looked lush and tasted fantastic as always. Thanks Chesterfield …my go to local favourite Carvery.

Have been going here for years. Always have a carvery. Today was alwful cold plates(usually have to use napkins to hold Hot plate) meat looked lovely, plenty of veg. Problem Veg was barley warm! I was offered a refund on my meal I asked for a pudding instead. Hardly any staff, hardly any customers ! Such a shame used to be lovely

that we have been going to the chesterfield arms for 23 years this year. Last October we had a really bad experience so we haven’t been back till today. Well things haven’t got any better!! We had booked a table and nobody came over I had to ask someone to see to us we had our meal my daughters was ok my husbands chips and chicken on his mixed grill was extremely dry and over cooked and I had the carvery which only had beef, I don’t like beef but nobody told us that’s what was available plus all the veg was dry and honestly not very nice. So my daughters birthday is next week and we always go to the chesterfield but not now or anymore we have it another chance and it failed miserably

The bar staff in the Chesterfield are unmatched in Derbyshire. They take care of you at each point and bring the best atmosphere. Such an enjoyable pub to come eat, drink and socialise at!

Chose the Chesterfield Arms as the venue for my partners wake, just up the road from Bretby crematorium. Buffet was excellent, especially the cakes. Friendly staff couldn't have been more helpful, and a nice pint of Abbots.
