4 adults mains .3 desserts and 6 drinks , food was amazing every meals was tasty and plenty of it, desserts were just as good, 4 various drinks all good with 5 star service, definitely be going again well pleased Stilton sauce was very tasty unlike the flavoured cream we've had elsewhere

We visited on a rainy day in September, but recieved a warm welcome, great beer and even better food, if you over Carsington don't miss this pub in the village, definitely will return.

We visited this recently after a visit to the nearby Carsington Reservoir. We were happy that they were still serving food after 2 pm. We decided on the burger with chunky chips (in place of the skin on fries). It was a good size, tasty, and a great balance of flavours. Being freshly cooked, both the burger and fries were piping hot. Despite being quite full, we opted for desserts, my wife had the delicious brownie, with chocolate sauce, whilst I opted for the 'Crumble of the day' which the waitress said would be 'Pear'. Mine seemed to be Victoria Plum, but was wonderful with custard. The waitresses were warm, friendly and efficient. There is a nice outdoor area, which is great when the sun is shining.

Stopped for a post walk burger, excellent all arround. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely stunning! 😊 We booked for Sunday Lunch, the menu is so much more than Sunday Lunch, the Platter for two on a table near us looked awesome. Our meals (roast pork, lamb & gammon) were superb, meat & veg all cooked, and presented, perfectly. Lemon Cheesecake was tangy and refreshing. From the minute we arrived to the moment we left the "Team" were great: excellent beer knowledge and recommendation, efficient service when ordering and asking for sauces, extra cutlery etc. and wrapping up what we just couldn't finish! 😉 Would I come again? Yes. Would I recommend you go? Yes. Is it welcoming & friendly? Yes. Is the food good? Yes. Is the beer good? Yes. Is it good value? Yes. Am I on commission? No. Thank you to every single member of staff that made our visit to The Miners Arms today such a pleasure, a cracking country pub - keep doing what you're doing because you do it well 🍻💕👍

What a pub! The kind of place and people that you go out of your way to leave a good review for⭐️ Glad we found this gem. The staff were lovely, thanks to the two young girls who looked after us. We have a ten month old which the pub’s child portions would have been too big for, but the bar staff made a little plate for her and fussed our dog as well. One of the best pies I’ve ever had in my life, all homemade as well. Unreal. A nice beer garden and a lovely interior atmosphere.

So good we went back the next day! Quick and friendly service. I had the best Chicken Burger I've ever eaten on Day 1 and a half/half pizza on Day 2. Really accommodating staff and an overall fantastic experience. 10/10 would recommend.

Lovely country pub. Squeezed us in at the bar table for some food and we were not disappointed.

I went with my family on 1st August, we had a lovely meal and the ladies serving us were nice and smiley. The beer garden is also stunning!

Stopped here on a bike ride. Knowing nothing about the place I was expecting nothing special but I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible food and great ambience. Would highly recommend a trip here for the food alone. Great garden area too.

Excellent Sunday roast ..only minor issues was it was a little shift on greens ...one sprig of broccoli...4 mange tout and a desert spoon of cheesy leeks but what we had was delicious .. particularly the roasted carrot, parsnip and taters! Oh and moreish massive Yorkshires!

We called at at The Miners Arms as we were walking the Carsington Water Reservoir. We saw the sign for Carsington Village and as it was around lunch time, we decided to take a short 350m diversion and saw the pub. We walked in and asked if it was possible to order some food. The young lady was very nice and told us to take a seat. I ordered a cheese & bacon burger that came with fries. My husband ordered a chargrilled steak baguette with cheese and onion. Both were delicious. In fact, my burger, I'd say was one of the top 5 burgers I've ever eaten. It was hot, moist, so tasty, I would highly recommend. We only stayed for the one drink as we had to complete the 2nd half of the Reservoir but it's such a lovely pub and the service & food were fabulous 👌

We were staying near by and popped in after Sunday lunch service had finished. They were very accommodating and the food was excellent. What a lovely find and we will definitely visit again. The staff were lovely. I can't recommend this place enough. If you are in the area it is definitely worth a visit.

So rare to get good vegetarian choices, visit twice, first time tried the cauliflower and potato curry the which was delicious, second time the Bombay potato burger. It was superb, such a treat to get imaginative veggie options. The staff were so friendly and up for bit of banter so if you’re anywhere nearby it’s well worth a visit.

Me and my family only came across this place as my husband was doing work there, but we couldn't resist visiting and having a meal there. The pub is a lovely place and the outdoor area is so peaceful with beautiful scenery. We all had different meals, we even stayed for dessert, it was hard to pick from the menu as we wanted to try everything. The food was amazing, great quality and portion sizes, it's definitely worth the price. Staff are so helpful and polite. We definitely recommend this place, we will be going again to try more off the menu 👍

Called here yesterday for Sunday lunch an absolutely fabulous meal a warm welcome great friendly staff. If you haven't discovered this place you really should it's a real hidden gem of the peak district.best Sunday lunch ever.

Superb food today at the Miners. Never been before, or heard of it but what a pleasant discovery. Pork chop amazing . Beer impressive and well kept. Prices very good for the quality. Definitely a return visit on the cards soon

A lovely cosy pub in a beautiful location. Three friends meeting for lunch then a walk around the lake. The staff went the extra mile to cater for one with a food intolerance. A nice open fire, good food, interesting local beer and dog friendly. Perfect.

Had my reservations this would be the usual basic burger/fish and chips pub but pleasantly surprised. Really lovely food. Would definitely recommend.

Went on Mother's Day Sunday, had a great time with my family.

Been to this place twice now, 1st visit made me want to come back, 2nd visit made me want to move into the village. Greeted by friendly staff in beautiful surroundings, the food is by far the best I have had. No they haven’t paid me to write this ha ha. It was just worth mentioning x

Great food, great staff and great value for money. We were a party of 17 so we had to pre-order, and all our food was freshly made and came out pretty much together. The two girls waiting on us were lovely. I would definitely go back if I was in the area again.

Visited at lunch time today after walking around Carsington. We turned up on spec. Very friendly welcome from all staff. Really enjoyed sandwich and a burger. Open fire added an additional bonus on a cold day. A busy pub but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Highly recommended. Thank you to the staff.

Welcomed as we walked in. We were only planning on having a pint but the food looked so nice we decided to have a pizza as well. Lovely atmosphere, good sized pizza, polite staff. Will definitely be going back.

Having taken a short walk around Carsington water my wife and I called at the miners Arms for lunch everything was marvellous the food was exceptionall. The service etc. And the fact it is dog friendly makes the visit all the better .the times we have had to sit outside pubs and cafes that ban dogs is unbelievable infact now we don't. So thank you Miners Arms we will definitely return.

Popped in here this evening for dinner and what a pleasant surprise. Warm and welcoming pub with open fire on. The food was fantastic and the service was also. Would definitely recommend and will visit again if we are ever in the area.

My walking group B123 Walks recently completed a walk around Carsington Water and we were lucky enough to stumble upon this charming establishment. The Sunday lunch was absolutely incredible, with a fantastic variety of options to choose from. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The cozy and inviting atmosphere added to the overall charm of the place. We were thoroughly impressed with our dining experience at The Miners Arms and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Sunday lunch after a walk.

Arrived on a busy Friday without a booking but managed to fit our party of four in, excellent Fish and chips, with crisp Pinto Grigio and cold Madri lager would recommend! Going back tonight (with a reservation).

A busy pub in a quiet setting. Best to book if going at the weekend. Plenty of outdoor seating, dogs allowed. A 10 minute walk to Carsington Water along a track.

Visited on a Monday. We were pleased they were open as many weren’t. We virtually had the place to ourselves. Three very pleasant ladies (women) serving. Food was very good two pies of the day (chicken and leek) which were tasty and very nice pastry. One chicken breast and mash and one lasagna. Strange that no side dishes other than salad but when arrived some lovely tender stem broccoli and carrots came with all four meals. Ran out of Bombay Sapphire gin but plenty of alternatives. Would definitely return. Slightly more expensive than other pubs but in our opinion worth it. Ambience was a shame but it was a Monday. And no “musac” which was a blessing I suppose. Please put on the menu that all mains come with seasonal vegetables.

A little disappointed with my blonde ale but I can't complain as I was allowed to try before I bought. IMO it was getting ready for a change of barrel. My meal was superb I will definitely visit again and hopefully in the near future. Re the service, girls don't stand at the bar on your phones, pay attention to your customers while at work. X
