The best restaurants in East Midlands

Speedy food arrival and it was lovely too. Staff were nice and super helpful. Good size portions and the restaurant is nicely laid out too, fun decor!

What a lovely pub. So nice to see a banks pub up north. Had an amber shandy. Some top afternoon grub and a lovely view to accompany it all. Would recommend for all you walkers. Great views and a perk it's on route!

Best eggs Florentine ever. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked, husbands English breakfast was piping hot with great quality sausage. Nicely done.

Omg if there pies haven't won awards they need to. This was the best takeaway pie and chips I've has in years. Amazing! Friendly staff and the chips were awesome too

Our food was excellent, especially the steak! Staff were very polite and not intrusive. However, the noise levels due to poor acoustics were awful, firstly we had a group of 4 next to us, who were over loud. Then a table for 8 came in and seemed to be shouting the whole time. Interesting another couple who spoke to us on the way out, also mentioned the noise level was high and wouldn’t return.

This restaurant is absolutely nice and cosy. It was nice decorated for the Christmas time. The staff were very friendly . Chris was very helpful and giving us some good advice. A young lad, don't know his name was also very friendly and polite

We have been going here for a few years, normally pretty good but the standards are slipping. The last few times the sweet rice The pineapple was mushy and it was very watery. Tonight the chicken tikka madras was full of gristle and the wife's lamb was ridiculously chewy. Very disappointed, we won't be back.

Booked a table for a Saturday night by calling 3 days earlier which was very easy. Arrived 5 mins early and very pleasantly greeted by manager who guessed my name. Table for 4 was spacious and we were presented with a jug of freezing cold iced tap water and menus. States and mains ordered along with a bottle of red wine. Food came in good time and was delicious. We declined deserts and went to the till to pay the bill. After a little mix up this was sorted. Very nice experience and will return/recommend to others.

The price is a little bit expensive, but it is better to go to asiana, which has the advantage of being close to the tram stop. The cashier was kind of weird today, but thanks. If you can store the trolley next time, you can tell me in advance, because other supermarkets do not provide this service. Oh, besides, I still don't understand how to add a membership card.

They cooked a better steak than Millet and Carter. At a fraction of the cost. Service was excellent and friendly. Ribs were great and my Dad thoroughly enjoyed this start to his night out. The £10 lunch time deal is amazing too

I stayed here as I was working locally. The room was very comfortable and nice and warm given it was -4 outside. The staff were very welcoming. Breakfasts were home cooked everything and plentiful. Evening meals in the bar were wholesome and hearty. I struggled and couldn't finish my meals, and I have a hearty appetite. I was so happy to stay here, that I have booked again and will be a regular customer in the future. Plenty of parking. Disabled access, and from what I could see, there is an outdoor area next to a babbling Brook that runs past the property. It is right down a lane so it it nice and quiet.

We visited last weekend with my family and we had a great time from start to finish, the service was so great for us , we also enjoyed all our food was really fresh And tasty too, I highly recommend this restaurant to every one as they have lots of nice food options not only on they menu , but they still have they daily menu which we think that is great to have on the restaurant, thank you so much to all the staff at Rocksalt Bistro

Had a fabulous evening with family. Food great as was the service. Thanks for getting my granddaughter a portion of mashed potatoes separately!! Thoroughly recommend
