Perkins Restaurant in Rushcliffe

A truly fabulous evening celebrating a milestone birthday. The service was perfect and the food delicious. Thank you!! We will definitely be back.

I was taken to this restaurant to entertain some business associates in the early ‘80’s and enjoyed it so much I thought I would come back some day. It has taken a long time but finally made it back and was not disappointed. Food was first class . Service faultless. Some of our party have lived nearby to the restaurant for years and regret not having discovered it earlier. I am sure I will be back very soon after such an enjoyable evening.

We went back for our anniversary meal which was given to us as a gift from the carriage hall as we got married there a year before. The service was amazing and the food was delicious - the best roast I’ve ever had! The drinks choice was also very good. The bread at the start was so nice and warm and the whole experience was faultless! Thank you so much for a lovely meal!

Had another delicious meal at Perkins when we visited last week. It doesn’t matter what you choose from the menu you know that you will never be disappointed. Staff, as always, were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend a visit. We’ll be back for our anniversary next year, if not before.

We have been here many times over the years for lunch but this was a first for dinner. Food was amazing as always although the service and atmosphere were not quite as nice. We weren’t aware that an a la carte menu was not available and this would have been helpful to know when making the reservation.

A birthday treat at this fabulous bistro. Everything was just perfect. We both had a beef Sunday lunch which was both plentiful and delicious. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and the place itself is lovely. £25 for two courses. Highly recommended.

Booked for Sunday lunch to help celebrate a birthday. We couldn’t have asked for better, the staff were very pleasant, the service was prompt without feeling rushed. The food was beautifully served with lots of fresh vegetables. We opted for the traditional roast and the beef I had was exceptionally good. Thoroughly recommended.

I received a voucher for my Birthday last October and eventually we managed to book a table for lunch 9 months later! Oh! had we known what a fantastic venue Perkins Bar & Bistro was we would have been there immediately. From the moment we entered and were made to feel so welcome, to the moment we left, we couldn't fault a single thing. They had several large parties booked, but it made no difference to our faultless service. The restaurant runs like a 'well oiled machine'. The food was outstanding, and served very quickly. We shall certainly be returning on a regular basis. Can thoroughly recommend if you want something very, very special!

Went mid week and they were able to slot us in for a later sitting with short notice. Good choice on a 2 or 3 course menu. I had the arancini and salmon, which were very nice. Also a good choice of wines by the glass. Lovely surroundings and tasteful interior that is sympathetic to the Victorian train station building. A real gem in the South Notts countryside.

Attentive, considerate service and delicious food in a beautiful setting. We also had plenty of privacy in the space to catch up as a family. Everything was perfect.

Perkins has always been a favourite for our family as it never disappoints. The menu has something for everyone and the chefs went out of their way to accommodate my mother's many dietary restrictions which was very much appreciated. All of our meals were excellent, the perfect size and very well presented. Desserts were delicious too. Our server was wonderful. I own my own restaurant and I wish I could have her join our team as she was so attentive, professional and accommodating. A wonderul experience as usual. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Perkins NEVER fails. The food is ALWAYS on point, the staff are attentive but not over the top. Trish is fabulous and ALWAYS makes us feel so welcome. Perkins is our go to place and recommend to friends who haven’t been and they have enjoyed it as much as we do.

Went here after receiving a voucher for a meal. Having not been before I was pleased that that there was a vegetarian starter and main course. We have the beetroot risotto as starter and I had the onion tart tartan for main while my partner had the sea bass for main. The food was tasty and beautifully presented, The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. It was set in an old railway station with plenty of room between the tables sox you did not feel crowded.

Absolutely top notch! We went to Perkins to celebrate my father in law’s 81st birthday, the rest of the party had been before and we quickly realised why they’d chosen to visit again. Lovely restaurant, atmosphere and setting, friendly welcoming staff and bang on service. The Sunday lunch was absolutely fantastic, we had 3 courses and each one was delicious. Two of us decided to go for Sunday lunch , it was the best Sunday lunch we had for a long time, I had roast beef , which was delicious , very tender and tasty, my husband had roast pork and he said it was delicious , both very generous portions, vegetables were perfect, would highly recommend it

I haven't been to Perkins for over a year and I was not disappointed, as expected. Absolutely fantastic food and very helpful service with my dietary requirements. The venue is first class and the very best Nottinghamshire has to offer. All of the front of house staff are a credit to the restaurant. Many thanks for a fantastic night out.

Went mid week for the three course set menu. On paper -It seemed good value, £28 for 3 courses but the food was of really poor quality. The Brie crostini was literally a slither of Brie on stale bread! ( my 9 year old child could have made a better job of it). The main course of pork chop was over-cooked and hard. The vanilla cheesecake with the sorbet was the worst course - looked like the cheesecake had come straight from the freezer with icy sorbet more granita than a sorbet. Sadly left thinking this place could be so much better even if they had to charge a bit more for better quality food.

We celebrated my mothers 70th here for a special breakfast, had a lovely morning with fabulous views and ambience, while there were a few things not 💯 Trish the manager and her team have taken on board our comments and with a few tweaks it will be perfect 😍 we will be visiting soon thank you

We had the most fabulous 90th birthday lunch for my mum at Perkins on Sunday We were a family group of six adults and all had fantastic food Two and three course lunches that were perfectly cooked with lovely ingredients Staff were welcoming and friendly and the place itself is just great Beautifully converted railway station very tastefully done Great setting with gorgeous views which will be even better in summer Unfortunately we live in Cheshire so it’s a two hour drive for us but will certainly come again when we are over to see my mum who lives nearby Such a lovely treat very well done

A fantastic night with incredibly good service. Planning a surprise birthday meal is never easy but the pre-event communication with Trish was excellent! Even a deflated balloon was no task too big for her and the team, ensuring all decorations were perfectly presented for our arrival. The food was excellent even with such a large group and a great selection of wines. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Visited for a family catch up and 60th anniversary.From the moment we arrived felt so welcome the staff are so attentive and friendly.
