The best restaurants in England

Gutted that I have had gorgeous food from this restaurant on numerous occasions only yesterday when I went to pay on their website, I was told they don't deliver this far. I am 5.2 miles away. So I used a really local one and it was yummy. So the China lantern has lost a good customer who recommended them to lots of prospective customers. Sadly, no more.

Visited for breakfast. Breakfast was really nice. Lovely friendly staff. Will definitely be back again. Our new local cafe. Will definitely get cake next time.

I visited this place last night because normally very nice. But last night OMG the lady taking the order and it wasn’t over the phone I was actually face to face with her. I had to repeat my order three times and I still received the wrong dish which I couldn’t eat. The crispy duck was far from crispy and had no flavour? The chilli and salt ribs, well I don’t know what they were but they were not chilli and salt !!! The best thing was the prawn toast and even i can cook toast???? All in all very poor and I don’t think I will be going back for a while. Mark

First class country pub, welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere. Excellent food - burger in particular was superbly flavoursome. Good value too. Would recommend.

Very frienfly, low key, down to earth place. The lady serving at the counter was super friendly and helpful

Lovely little take out place, a stones throw from Woolacombe beach. Limited menu, but a good selection. Food was made as you waited, and open plan kitchen meant you could see what was being prepared. Food was a little on the expensive side, but really good quality and decent portion sizes.

Awful service awful food came from Birmingham to order a takeaway . First menu was snatched away by server then once ordered was told to go stand outside as I’m in the way lol which I never had heard before it was also raining the guy didn’t seem bothered and was rude. Got the papri chaat and honestly smelt bad and tasted worse smelt gone off avoid at any cost and will not be recommending to anyone

Ambiente increíble y la comida era fantástica. Muy razonable precio para Londres. Decidimos que necesitábamos alejarnos del ajetreo de la orilla sur y nos fuimos de pista y tropezamos con esta pequeña joya. Sin duda recomendaría! Gracias al personal

Wow, what another amazing night at Sancerre! Had a fabulous meal in amazing surroundings. Food and staff excellent.. best place around. Come and make your own mind up.. you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Klaudia, Marsha, chefs and all your team.. perfect evening 🍾🥂😘

Generous portions of a huge variety of exceptional home made cakes, with a small selection of tables to enjoy washing it down with good coffee, decaf also served.

First visit after seeing reviews. Well worth the drive. Was a bit apprehensive about the Pizzadilla at £33, but what a feast. LOTS of beef and great selection of fixings. The box weighed over 3lbs ! Will return to sample the menu.

As an 'exiled local' down for a couple of days it's not somewhere I would normally visit other than for an ice cream from the kiosk window. I had friends with me and only called in for a coffee but on the wish list for one of them on their short break to Cornwall was a cream tea, so I thought this one of the best places to tick that of the list. The cream tea for one was ordered but 'unfortunately' the breakfast bap proved to tempting for the other two of us! quick, friendly, and efficient service, and possibly (probably) one of the tastiest and best breakfast baps I have had. The only problem now is am I going to be satisfied with just an ice cream on future visits to the cove?!
