PATCHAM CHARCOAL GRILL in Brighton and Hove

I asked for a burger with salad and got given a plain burger with nothing and I live to far to go back. And I told him I live in Brighton so it’s quite far away on the call and he offered me a free burger like I was gunna travel all the way there for that I want my money back. Waste off £10!!

The places use real charcoal to prepare their food which is great. Ordered a mix lamb shis and kofte with rice. The lamb shis was unreal. Really rich taste, soft and juicy meat. Unbelievable. The kofte was a lot less flavourful but still juicy and tender. The rice was a bit overcooked but not bad. Ordered also a burger for my son, which they forgot to make. All the guys were, however, apologetic and been really kind the all time. Ultimately, would I eat there again? Definitely yes.

It's a takeaway, so don't expect to go in there for a fancy meal. However, the comfortable chairs and counters are perfect tables, to wait for your takeaway. You would also probably feel comfortable eating at that place. Really friendly service, food seems well cooked and decent quality. I would definitely eat here a third time.

Just another average kebab shop in my opinion, chicken wings were pretty normal the lamb was pretty normal, I wouldn’t go out my way and order from there again that’s why I threw the menu in the bin I’ll go somewhere a bit more local.

An absolutely fantastic takeaway kebab, certainly the best we’ve had from Brighton and all surrounding areas. Generous portions, homemade chilli sauce and garlic sauce. Plus super friendly staff. Will return.

Had a takeaway last night from here and OMG....this was OFF THE WALL!. I normally have takeouts from here but last night I normally have there mix kebab combi with wings , shish, kofte etc and it was the absolute Best Kebab to date....but The Best ! I cant rate it enough. It was not just the fact that it was from there because believe me they are the Best Kebab in Brighton full stop. But every thing was cooked to perfection,tasty, delicious, succulent and piping Hot on arrival...the Best Really ! I cant fault it ... I would have only one suggestion to them...make available Basmati Rice on the menu even if u have to charge extra, cos it really complements your grill meats perfectly. Was disappointed with the service I got my kebab asked for salad never got any it was cold asked for chicken wings they looked like quail wings never go back to this place very poor don't recommend it could of gone to asda to get chicken wings at least they are not quail wings

Lovely chicken and donner combination Kebab.

Ordered through Deliveroo. Chicken shish with rice no rice. Lamb chops with rice and salad no salad. Lamb chops not very nice. Phoned to ask where rice and salad was and was told sorry made a mistake but not our fault speak with Deliveroo. Obviously can't speak with Deliveroo. Very poor service for a local takeaway. Avoid at all costs.

Quite possibly the best Chicken Shish Kebab in Brighton. Not my closest kebab shop but will definitely return. Great food, clean modern shop and pretty good prices too.

I am new in Patcham. I can assure that this kebab restaurant is the best so far I have eaten. Everything is homemade (their marinates, the garlic sauce, even the kofte, they are doing it on their own!). Very pleased with their service and so far I haven't got any complaint. I had a big order 2 days ago and everything was perfect. Keep doing the good job. Thank you!

A tourist here! We just went for a trip to Brighton and found this kebab restaurant. It was just delicious! We had the chicken wings and a combination chicken and kofte and it was so tasteful, well made and fresh. Friendly staff too. Well done!

Ignore the bad reviews if you want to order call them directly, so polite top takeaway in all of Brighton and hove in my opinion if your looking for good quality clean tasting food not dripping in grease. It’s lovely even had to call to say thank you

Ordered from just eat, was meant to get rice and pita accorsing to what was shown on just eat, phoned to check said no tou get one or other, not according to just eat. So then the sauces only 1 turned up, was meant to get 1 sauce included didn't turn up, payed for 2 extra sauces was charge for 3, neither turned up 1.50 on extra sauces and not even the one that was meant to be included turned up Was very average in my opinion and over priced Won't use again 18.50 for a pita salad and 2 skewers hmmm

Order not received. Deliveroo could not assist due to restaurant using own drivers. Called restaurant who hung up and then driver turns up 2.5 hours after placing the order. We refused as would expect freshly cooked and driver was complaining of their 15 back orders building up. Not impressed and expecting a refund.

Ordered online which was super easy and convenient. Great email comms to give estimate time of arrival, friendly and prompt delivery. The food was very tasty and top quality! Only reason not giving 5 star is the missing rice with the kebabs, which should have been included as stated “served with”. Not put off at all… but next time I’ll call to make the order and will make sure the rice is included.

Brilliant place. Everything I’ve tried has been super. Meat is cooked over charcoal which makes all the difference. Staff are all really friendly too.

Food is always on top form, never had any problems.

Food was nice, but rice was forgotten, phoned to let then know and there reply was "you still need to ask for it even though it comes with the meal" which is a complete lie, a simple sorry we forgot would of been enough!

First time we've placed an order and were impressed with the flavour of the food. However both our kebabs were listed as coming with rice and none was delivered.

Best takeaway kebab I have ever ordered, really good quality. I called and asked if my order came with one Pitta, it did but they put the extra one in I wanted for free, great touch. Plus my order for some reason didn't add the chips, I called up and paid and they raced a portion over, absolutely generous one also!. I am 100% a repeat customer.

Sooo goooood! We have had couple of times food from Grill. And it is one of the best tasting food I have ordered. Tender and well marinated meat. And very nice people in the shop too. Thank you for great food!

Been here several times for their combination shish kebab with rice. Really good with moist, tasty chicken and all the parts separate so the pitta and salad don't get too soggy. Update: Been again recently and the shish is still really good. But I have given up with their chips. Limp and tasteless.

Lovely guys and great chicken shish. The chicken fillet is really good too if you're not hungry enough for a shish. Even spotted the owner of a certain curry shop in here for his own takeaway! Don't listen to the one bad review. He must have come on a very bad night or be very hard to please indeed.

BEST TAKE AWAY IN BRIGHTON SO FAR !! Amazing the way they serving..the way they're cooking is so much better than regular take away places..they're cooking the meat on a charcoal grill ending up so tender and delicious big chunks of meat..they're serving and packing everything separately salad on the side bread wrapped separately and they're serving kebabs with delicious homemade Turkish rice ! They do lamb chops lamb ribs wraps kids meals and everything..staff is very friendly and professional..reasonable prices also.. I'm a regular of Peckham charcoal grill now..And strongly recommend to anyone who wanna to enjoy real food.. thank you guys

Decided to check this place out the other day and to be honest it wasn’t good at all. The chips were soggy and some under cooked, the pitta was soggy and the shish kebab was pretty tasteless. The rice was pretty nice though. Although way too expensive for what it is. I wouldn’t go as far as saying it was terrible but it’s wasnt far off.
