Was wondering around Heysham village to find a place to have breakfast when me and my other half spotted Tracy's Café. As we walked in, all was well and good until the waitress expressed that we had to wait 30 minutes for our food, I obliged and we were seated at our table. The experience only got worse from this point as 10 to 15 minutes into our wait I couldn't help but notice that the waitress was having a good old rummage inside her nose at which point I couldn't stop looking and felt physically repulsed by the sight of her picking at her nose it only gets worse when she finishes picking and proceeds to enjoy the reward buy eating the contents of her nose right in front of everyone in the café to see in plane view, I felt utterly disgusted and put off my food entirely. When the food finally came I began to eat fully aware of what I had witnessed. Then the waitress proceeds to serve customers in a manner that felt disrespectful in the way that she would serve customers by facing away from us so that her behind was protruding right in our faces while we were trying to enjoy our food. The reason we didn't speak up and say something was because we felt so embarrassed for her and ourselves. Further more I only hope that the waitress washes her hands and sees this review and changes her picking habits and is more self aware that she is handling food. We paid for our food and left the café in utter disgust we will never be coming back!

Managed to snag a table on a Saturday lunch time! Lovely, traditional cafe in the heart of the village (parking close by). If you love pies, then this is the place for you. Steak and Ale pies are delicious, cut from a larger pie, not individual, served with mash and peas; I paid £1.75 extra to have homemade chips, yum! Served with gravy (separate if requested) Excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. Welcome and service from (Emily)? Was excellent. If you have room, check out the puds, cakes and biscuits, wow.

A friend had recommended Tracy's as I had told her we as a group of friends try different places for breakfast which lead us to Heysham village where I was born. A pleasant lady took our order and it was quickly processed with two lovely full English breakfasts including toast. I was also amazed that I could order a mug of instant coffee instead of all the alternatives Americano latte etc The food tasted good and my fried egg was soft how I like them. I was very impressed with the decor with lots of vintage photos of Heysham and Morecambe. All in all a great breakfast stop and we will certainly be calling again. 10 out of 10

My wife, friend and myself have been dining, at Tracy's café, a number of times since we were told about the place! The café is situated in the village of Heysham which is picturesque and is a place for tourists to visit. The food is excellent especially the homemade pies and broths. There are specials available on the day, and wonderful cakes and desserts! There are vegetarian, some vegan and gluten free options available! The service is excellent, friendly and professional. However, it is recommended that your visit is booked in advance, due to the popularity of the café, but you might find a table, on spec, on the day! it is a wonderful dog-friendly establishment! My wife and I thoroughly recommend dining here and will visit there again!

My friend took me to this little cafe during the week as she had been telling me how good it was. We both had the jacket potatoes with tuna mayonnaise, really tasty, lovely presentation served with a side salad. The cakes looked delicious, so felt I needed to return with my husband. We returned today, both having the minced beef pie, a proper pie, with pastry top and bottom, really delicious, along with homemade chips, forgotten how good they tasted. My hubby had the lemon merangue pie, I wanted some but was too full. I did bring a couple of scones home and some coffee n walnut cake which my son really enjoyed. I need to return to try the Bakewell tart, it looked so good.

The pies were very good but the chips were about the worst we have ever been served. The cafe is compact, busy and dog friendly but the smell of wet dogs is not conducive to the enjoyment of food. The cakes looked appetizing but we finished our meal quickly to get back out in the fresh air. Not an experience we would wish to repeat.

Nice cheese pie and chips although the chips where a little under cooked and hard. Really fancied one of the cakes but a guy came in with a dog which one of the waitresses knelt down and made a real fuss over, stroking it and allowing the dog to lick her hands. She then carried on serving food without washing her hands first, VILE!!! I'm not a big fan of dogs in places where food is served at the best of times but thought this was utterly disgusting, I will not be returning here again.

We had our usual fun afternoon in our lovely village cafe. Tracy as usual excelled herself with her great food, all home made, even the teacakes. Breakfasts are always top class, and the wonderful staff always get all the different requests fulfilled. Super service in a quick time. Pies are tasty & the steak & ale is tender, lean and filling. Prices are competitive and everything good value. Cakes are brilliant especially our favourite Lemon Meringue Pie, (which we fight over to get the last slice!) Staff are friendly and enjoy a laugh. We always look forward to our regular visit. Luv'n'Hugs from Katy & friends

The cafe was almost full when we arrived but we found one free table which was just being vacated. It is a plain, no-frills, cafe but in this price bracket you’re paying for the food not the decor. Service was friendly and quick. All of the food is home cooked, including the chips which was a pleasant surprise as so many places use frozen chips. I had the minced beef and onion pie with mushy peas and chips, although the portion looked small due to the small plate on which it was serverd it turned out to be a generous meal. The pie was clearly home-made from scratch and was well-filled and excellent. My partner had the lasagne which was also home made and a generous portion which was served with home made garlic bread. Our daughter had mushroom soup which also apeared to be home made and she said it was very good. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cafe to anyone for really good honest food and I can’t understand in the modern climate how they manage to do it for the very reasonable prices which they charge.

Cafe was full on arrival, so asked to reserve the next free table, which the lovely lady behind the counter did. I had the last piece of chicken + mushroom pie, woohoo and wowser, not sure Tracy could have gotten anymore filling in if she tried; served with homemade chips + peas, deeeelicious. Husband had minced beef pie, mash, mushy peas + gravy and he was an extremely happy bunny. Great atmosphere in the cafe. Very reasonably priced. We felt well looked after. We can heartily recommend.

'Mushy' peas so dry you could strike a match on them, a bland meat and potato pie and lumpy wet mash that made me scratch my head wondering whether I'd gone mad and ordered porridge with my meal instead. The food was so bland and tasteless, that the arrival of 2 mud-smelling dogs was the only thing that woke up my sense of smell... sadly, not in a good way. Why do cafe owners ever think that diners who come in for the much advertised 'home cooked fayre' want to have the experience of enjoying that promised lovely food spoiled by the smell of dirty wet dog?? If I walked into a cafe, sat down and started talking/shouting/singing/farting loudly for an hour, there would rightly be an outrage, maybe even a riot. It would be offensive, anti-social and intrusive right? Hello...

Not many tables inside but they seem easy going and allow dogs. Had a nice time here today and can recommend if you like home cooked meals. It's cosy inside.

Absolutely fabulous cafe. Great menu, with many vegetarian options too. I had the chicken curry, which came with lovely chips that took me back to my childhood, rice, naan bread and mango chutney. The curry sauce was packed with onions , tomatoes, and succulent chicken pieces, and the sauce catered for anyone who likes the taste of curry spices, and not pretending to be a madras inter alia. My Wife had the home baked cheese and onion pie, which she had with gravy and mushy peas (although you can choose garden peas), and she loved it. Luckily we went for lunch early as it got busy, and the service was first class. Will return on our next visit to Heysham!

Great little family run cafe.food and service of a high standard.highly recommended .vegetarian food is also available,Heysham is only a small pretty village, but after a walk along the headland we went into the cafe for a coffee and sandwiches, but after watching the meals being delivered to other tables,we gave in to temptation and were not disappointed. The food was extremely well cooked and presented, and was despatched with great gusto.

Popped in here twice last week with my large family whilst on holiday. Both times the food was really nice and the service was top notch. There's a really friendly feel to the place and my mum and dad had quite a laugh with the lady behind the counter!! They even allow dogs in (if kept on a lead). I will definitely go in here again if I go back to Heysham!! I'd recommend it to anyone and the prices are great too. The chicken curry special was so tasty!!!!

No volveré.

Hi stopped of en route to Heysham for ferry to Douglas and what can I say this place is brilliant and Service and Staff so so pleasant. One of the best features was the price we paid for two of us to have Bacon Butty's and Portion Chips and two Latte Coffee's couldn't believe how cheap would gladly have paid more without complaint. Would definitely highly recommend this place for anyone in the Morcambe / Heysham area looking for Guid grub go to TRACY's

To or from the ferry, don't bypass Heysham village. More cafes than you can believe. And they are good including Tracy's. Cheap but good with a large range and good coffee.

Been to tracy's a few times and have never been disappointed. Had all the pies which are always tasty. There is a good choice if your vegetarian or vegan and the cakes are yummy. Fruit pies and crumbles as well. Will have to stop I'm feeling hungry.

Came here with work on Good Friday and it was really busy. Managed to find a table. We were seen to straight away. Ordered a veg breakfast, two beefburgers and a mince and onion pie, chips and gravy. Coffee was really nice and fresh. The beefburgers were considerably smaller than the buns they were presented on, the veg breakfast was a very good size. But the mince and onion pie was really dry inside and the mince was cooked so much. The homemade chips were very nice but the gravy just wasn't gravy. I also have to comment on the fact dogs are allowed in the premises doesn't really speak of being hygeinic

Called in with hubby and ordered a small breakfast and scrambled egg on toast. The food was excellent along with a good mug of tea. Had to wait a little while for the food to arrive, but the cafe was full and it was piping hot when it arrived. Well done will definitely recommend this cafe.

The weather had turned very wet and I had my little grandson in his pram Went in to order but was stifling to find vegetarian as I was dripping water in my eyes Girl tried to be helpful but it came across as a bit condescending. When I'd ordered she said sorry cash only. Who does that these days!! So I had to go back into the outing rain. If it was my pace I'd have offered a cup of tea or a towel The young woman who used to be there was lovely It seems to have gone down service wise My friend who can't see well said they were very rude to her too sadly Shane as it's a nice menu and cafe

It has a lovely atmosphere, the food was extremely tasty and tgere was anew menu which had some wonderful choices plus there was plenty of it. Reasonable prices. The staff were so friendly and helpful. If there was one thing that would have made it perfect was the table size. It was more for two people not four, very difficult fitting the plates, drinks and cutlery on such a small table. Otherwise a perfect evening

I have been here quite a few times for ice cream only before now but on this day we went for lunch. Panini was quite nice but the cheese on the cheese and tomato one was rather tasteless. Also beware ..... false advertising on the bacon, maple syrup and pancakes option. it is NOT maple syrup. It is maple flavoured (there is a BIG difference..). I have suggested they change the description. I asked for a refund based on this and was begrudgingly given said refund by a member of staff after the Manager approved it.

Beer was good but they seemed more interested in catering for diners than drinkers!
