Nipped in at the weekend and bought 2 minced beef and onion pies. Please avoid them. A total rip off for £2 each. The pie only consists or very little meat and lots of onions. And is only half full and the pastry is way to thick. Never again.

A great cafe with lovely food and lovely service. The food is really good quality and service was very friendly. We were welcomed in despite being in a load of wet kayaking gear. I accidently left my gopro on a chair outside and it was passed on to me. We also got advice on where was a good place to get the boats on the estuary. Can recommend the beef sandwich

We are new to the Ribble Valley area and finding new places to visit. Today we went to Glasson Dock, or Glasson as it seems to be called. Lovely place on the mouth of the river Lune with a working lock that allows boats of a suitable size up the river towards Lancaster. There is also a Smoke House were you can buy freshly smoked fish, meats and cheeses, although to my surprise, most of the fish isn’t caught locally but comes down from Scotland. After a little wander round and a purchase of smoked mackerel and chicken, we called at the Quayside Cafe for a some light refreshment and sat outside on a little terrace in the sun watching a catamaran navigate the lock, assisted by the lock keeper and his mate The Quayside Cafe is a cafe but much more than a greasy spoon. Food, from a toasted tea cake to a corn beef hash, is generous and tasty and cooked to order, reflecting the obvious desire of the owners to provide good quality produce. Lovely location, very friendly and engaging staff and excellent food, looking forward to our next visit and the recommended “Full English”

So last weds eve my boss and her family and myself drove to Glasson Dock to meet her partner at the weekly Wednesday bike meet. We entered The Shop, and was greeted with a lady with a lovely smile, her name was Jane and the owner. Sheĺ took our rather large order and got to it straight away. I ordered the Dock Burger which was bloody amazing! My boss had bacon sausage and egg barm, her reaction was, "omg! this is the best breakfast barm I have ever eaten." There was certainly no left overs for anybody! Especially the grey fluffy cat ( he lives in the pub which is just over the other side but believe he spends most of his day outside the little shop) his name being Fluff. What a lovely evening we had, so friendly and amazing food.. we have found our little piece of heaven ❤ thank you Jane for making us all welcome. You deserve the very best 👌and no doubt you will be seeing us all again Claire. Xx

Just been in now and grabbed and chicken burger and meat and potato pie for Me lunch, brilliant food 10/10, the chicken burger was so moist and juicy, good bit of chicken, cooked perfectly, and the price I couldn’t believe how cheap it was! The meat and potato pie was really nice too I personally prefer my pies to be a bit peppery similar to Potts but absolutely no complaints and I will be back 👍🏻

A little gem of a cafe. We have called here many times for a delicious ice cream. They sell hot and cold food which is very good and the coffee first class The decking is the perfect place to watch the world go by and as a bonus you can sometimes see the boats passing through the locks. It is also a general store selling groceries and alcohol with a gift shop selling many lovely and quirky items. It is also dog friendly. The staff are polite and friendly and the young man was very pleasant and helpful. Try a visit here and I am sure you will be not be disappointed.

My husband and I are keen motorbikers and have visited Glasson Dock many a time but we always avoid the bike crowd around the mobile van and head straight to the shop where we get a fabulous sandwich every time and occasionally a treat. I fancied a bar of chocolate and my husband said it would be sacrilege to not try one of their home made cakes (arm didn’t take much twisting!) so I asked which brownies they would recommend and can honestly say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff are always extremely friendly and polite and happy to make a suggestion if you aren’t sure what to try. Definitely worth a visit and will always head there when we are in the area. Highly recommended.

They have a lovely seating area called 'deck on the dock which will be open again at last on the 12th April,so having a brew and toasted crumpet in the rain is still a treat .They are also dog friendly which is a bonus for us dog lovers, fresh water and treets available. Also they have a very delightful gift shop full of handmade gifts and cards. When the sun is out Crabbing buckets and lines are an essential part of the dock visit as well as a tasty ice cream with plenty of flavours to choose from.So I Highley recommend this special place in Glasson Dock, I give it 5 star plus plus.

This is a village shop alongside the lock basin at Glasson Dock. Tucked out of the way you'd easily miss it or call into one of the other more obvious cafes before arriving at the village shop. A selection of breakfast items are freshly cooked to order and very reasonably priced. My bacon barm was enormous, piping hot and thick with well cooked griddled bacon. It was so big that I went back into the shop and suggested that they offer a range of sizes to cater for smaller appetites. A selection of sandwiches, pies and tempting looking cakes are also available The staff in the shop/cafe are very friendly and welcoming and informed me that the shop /cafe is open every day of the year including Christmas day . This is primarily a takeaway cafe but there are sheltered tables offering seating outside. A range of hot and cold drinks is available.
