Absolutely fabulous afternoon tea for two with Prosecco, would highly recommend. Excellent value for money. We looked after by Bev who boxed up our cakes for us to take home

We eat here now at least once a month. The food is excellent and in my opinion probably the best place locally for food. The chef Josh is so professional and precise with each dish he sends out the kitchen. Never once have we had a slight complaint. My favourite on the menu is the chicken Kiev it’s just beautiful. Bev and all the staff are so professional and attentive, I can’t say enough good things about them. Highly recommended no doubt.

We always pop in to The Junction Bar at the weekend for a few drinkies, the staff always very friendly and chatty. Bev makes the best coffee in Carnforth. The food we watch coming out of the well organised kitchen always looks fantastic. Well done everyone.

After a long Sunday out hiking, we really struck gold when we chose this friendly pub for dinner. Okay, so the roast beef was no longer available that late in the day, but the roast chicken was, and wow! Large Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes, side dish of lovely fresh vegetables, and we had the side of cauliflower cheese (which proved to be totally un-necessary as the portions were so generous). It’s a fairly large space, but not too loud, and both light and comfortable. The loudest applause is reserved for the staff - welcoming, professional and efficient. 10 out of 10 everyone.

I’m stopping here on my way riding bike up to Scotland. What a find. Nothing is too much trouble and just had a fabulous evening meal. Bev and Alexi really looked after me with impeccable service. I’ll definitely be back.

All the staff are exceptional , the food is wonderful you won’t get better quality and value for money!! Bev especially shines taking your visit to another level beyond the real world whilst Lily and James keep it real .Wow it’s never dull .

Amazing food & service, You will not be disappointed, the Station has a fantastic varied menu, food is delicious, main courses are large, you’ll struggle to eat more than 2 courses! Service is 1st class, Bev & the team will ensure you are well looked after, it’s a place that you’ll come back to at least once a month!

Warm and welcoming from the moment we entered. Restaurant decor is beautiful with an ambient atmosphere. Menu was varied with something for all members of the family. Yet another fantastic stay, at The Royal Station, we are currently looking after an elderly relative, in the local area, so have been staying here on a fairly regular basis over the last few months. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, & their staff, they can usually accommodate us at short notice. The rooms are clean, tidy & comfortable, with all the normal amenities. We again ate in the attached bar/restaurant, & the food is amazing, again the staff are top drawer. Breakfast in the hotel dining room, is great, you can have as much or little as you like, with a great choice. Glen & Maggie have got this hotel at the top of the tree, & long may it continue.

A Wednesday evening meal, the only place we could find open serving food, and it was busy due to great food and customer service. I had the suet pudding it was delicious one of the best I have ever had, the wife had a steak and loved it cooked perfectly. We then had dessert ice creams lovely, great value for great food. The two young staff members were brilliant and never stopped full of knowledge and very polite. This is dog friendly which is great to see, they had a event ongoing were people were in and out of the pub great to see a busy pub

We have been here a few times now as we are locals and food and service is first class.This is the best place to eat for miles. There is a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere. I had the beef stroganoff and it was exceptional 😋 My husband had the steak pudding and hasn't stopped talking about it as it was so tasty. We would definitely recommend this place.

Went here for a Valentines dinner and was not disappointed. Food, atmosphere and service were all 5*. Will definitely be returning and staying overnight next time .

We were staying at Pine Lake and looked for somewhere local to eat. As the Royal Station Hotel was rated no 1, we decided to try. So glad we did. Rarely review but had to as the food here was first class. I had the beef stroganoff that had a generous portion of steak fillet in the most delicious sauce. Unpretentious and comfortable . I Would recommend anyone to try the friendly atmosphere and first class menu whilst in the area.

Just, been back again after visiting family must be at least 6 months since my last visit. Food still great. All of us enjoy the steaks and sauces this time........... Just been in for a family meal today. Use to live in the area but not been for a bite to eat in Carnforth for years. Have to say it was lovely, from starters all the way to desserts. Great menu and variety all four of us loved it... highly recommended it. Friendly staff and good pricing, pleasant environment.

We visited the station for tea on our daughter’s 3rd birthday and was served by James, the food and service was perfect and they even brought a candle out in her ice cream. Highly recommended

Surprisingly exceptional Sunday lunch. 3 x Traditional Roasts, 1 x Beef Stroganoff & 1 x Kids meal followed by Sticky Toffee Puddings, Apple Crumbles, plenty of ice cream and jug full’s of hot custard! All top notch! I think the area we sat in was the ‘Platform Bar’ which is a lovely setting with a wood burner stove, open serving hatch from the kitchen, bar area, eating area and separate room with dart board and pool table. James & the rest of the team were very accommodating of our ‘nosey’ and ‘chatty’ nearly 2 year old, who wants to observe EVERYTHING; and the kitchen were happy to cook the beef roast to the liking of my pregnant wife, despite the menu declaring the meat being served as ‘pink’! Very pleasantly surprised and will return!
