Only had a quick pint so can't say a lot other than pleasant enough and would come back

Have been a few times recently, usually have sandwiches, they are very good and great value, went on Tuesday for lunch, had steak pie, absolutely brilliant, great portion including veg cooked to perfection. Needed a walk after. Will be back

Lovely family Lunch. Good menu. Plenty of choice + specials. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Staff friendly but not intrusive. Would be advisable to book especially if a group as there weren't many free tables.

Proper honest pub grub. Bloody brilliant!!

This is a great place to visit set with in the heart of the community. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The staff who work here are Friendly, Polite and Professional.

Had a Meal here for the 1st time a Month ago after it was recommended. It was Amazing . I had Cheese and Onion Pie and it was Delicious. The Staff were also lovely and friendly. We will definitely be back

Pretty typical pub menu served in a pub restaurant space. My wife's steak and ale pudding was enjoyed but not the suet pastry she expected (and we had to try to get staff attention to seek more gravy, which arrived quickly and was good). My seafood linguine was really nice and I'd have it again for quality. Fortunately, I wasn't starving as it wouldn't have filled me, if I was. Given that we knew the family had moved back here from Over Kellet, where they were successful, we wanted to try their new offer and were fairly pleased

In response to the review left by AA I’d just like to clear a few things up. Firstly - as you stated you “over heard” you “over heard” incorrect - I was speaking to the next table in response to them asking a question in regards to the hunt where I told them in actually fact I was the hunt Supporters secretary and couldn’t answer that and actually passed them the details for the secretary so they could ask further, Secondly- like you stated you “over heard” they in fact were from a hunting background and was visiting the area and loved the pictures we have on show on the window ledge and was asking if there was a connection at no point did I approach your table and speak about this to you and at no point did I stand there with a ten foot banner giving my opinion on hunting etc - Thirdly - everyone has a right to an opinion but this isn’t the place this is a place to review FOOD And finally Whilst we’re on this subject- Since the hunting ban of wild mammals which was passed by parliament in 2004, we follow a pre-laid trail and work within the law.

Called in on a Wednesday at 2.25 asked for food told finished serving food so got drinks for wife and children then sat outside after 5 minutes staff came out and drink up we're closing 😕

Had a lovely meal here,Friday night, make sure you book a table. 3 of us had the steak pie with veg, potatoes, or chips, Service was very quick, waitresses pleasant and informative about food, would go out of my way to eat here again.

Best steak pie ive had in twenty years! Homely atmosfear, food service was quick. Good value for money. Food was served on hot plates really freindly staff, it was so nice we have eaten here again tonight!

Called for lunch and it was fantastic, cooked to perfection and everything was hot. Good, quick and friendly service and very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to eat, be warned the servings are massive!! The food is freshly cooked and we'll presented. Service was lovely and all the staff were welcoming and warm.

Had food here whilst on a trip and have to say the service and the food were both amazing, the staff were friendly and accommodating with a great atmosphere.

A great, varied menu as well as daily specials. Something for everyone. Lovely atmosphere and super-friendly team. Cannot fault. It was bustling and the staff were on point. Give this place a try if you haven't already. We will be back!

Not a drinking pub. The whole pub is set out for foodies. The food did look good though

We'd been on a hike to the waterfalls and stopped on the way back for food with our two very loud huskies, the staff were lovely and welcoming very friendly to the dogs, food was lovely, great portion size and very warm and welcoming place. Hmmmm, not massively impressed. Carrots in the lasagne, no ragu flavour. I don’t want to give a bad review, but I think more effort is needed, all round. Please note I don’t want to give a bad review, I’m just trying to help.

Ate here with My daughter and her family and it is very good. We had a great waitress who was brilliant with the children and the food was soopa doopa too!! Very friendly people. Cannot fault the experience at all, even the dog enjoyed.

We reserved a table for five today. We all had a great meal which was served quickly and was nice and hot and tasty. The pub was very busy and we also found it warm and nice and clean and the service was very good. This is our second meal in the Royal Oak since it opened a few weeks ago. We will be back again very soon. 😀
