Sancerre in Leeds

Visited with three girl friends for lunch - birthday celebration. Had set menu - very limited choice particularly as one of us was vegetarian so for her actually no choice. Very expensive for two small courses but the food which was supplied, was excellent. We were the only people in that lunch time so absolutely no atmosphere, although the male staff member was very entertaining and good company. Would visit again for a lunch time celebration, but afraid prices of a La Carte menu do not correspond with the position of restaurant with views of Morrisons car park, main road and bus stop! Basically, excellent restaurant but in wrong place.

Really enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and service excellent. Extra thanks to Andres for making my Mum feel so special and for introducing her to tequila!! Highly recommended.

I have been twice! A Sunday dinner that Was lovely and they catered an extra for my daughter … tonight with the girls great service! Andres and jef are brilliant waiters!

My 8 year old daughter asked if we could go there for her birthday tee….! 10 of went and it was outstanding service, the food was out of this world! Mouthwatering and looked like something from a Michelin star’s restaurant. The duck melted in my mouth… everyone was very satisfied. Thanks Klaudia & the team for looking after us so well! Having recently dined there, I can confidently say that it lives up to its reputation. I was greeted warmly by the staff. As a seafood enthusiast, I was particularly impressed by the freshness and flavour of the turbot and my partner’s lamb, cooked to perfection, was nestled on a bed of seasonal vegetables, drizzled with a rich jus. I am already looking forward to my next visit. this restaurant is a must-visit for everyone. Thanks, Sancerre, for an unforgettable experience.

So disappointed at our first visit which will be our last. Slow service and very over-priced for a very average meal. High end prices but not matched with a high end atmosphere and experience. So expensive for what we ordered.

This restaurant has benefited from serious investment but it’s the food that does the talking! I challenge anyone to find a better Sunday lunch. It was perfection. We’ve had Sunday lunch at The Box Tree in Ilkley but this is just as good for half the price. The roast chicken was exceptional quality and the sirloin of beef pink and melted in the mouth. Importantly the veg was wonderful. There was nothing served that didn’t hit the mark. The new head chef came out to say hello and he deserved a serious pat on the back as did the rest of the team (the barman remembers your name and is so friendly). A bit more expensive than your standard Sunday fare and it would be nice to have a main course only option but it’s worth the visit and definitely a restaurant to look forward to returning to. Well done Team Sancerre - you deserve to be successful.

Amazing meal and service, really friendly staff, especially the guys behind the bar, legends! We had the steak and halibut, beautiful meal and very attentive staff, they made us amazing cocktails afterwards, would definitely return.

Holiday from home! Absolutely amazing food, cocktails and service! It honestly felt like I was on holiday - the waiters/ waitresses/ barmen are so attentive and fun! Beautiful cocktails, funny banter and perfectly cooked food… I’ve lived and travelled all over the world but I suggest Sancerre a visit!!!
