Dumouchel in Leeds

Visited there for the 1st time yesterday. Got a selection of their bakery products. They were all amazing. They were not too sweet, just perfect. The gentleman who served me was super kind and even gave me a free goodie! Definitely will go again. Show this place some love!

I fancied some cheese for my evening meal. The French are light years in front of the English by eating beautiful high class bread with their cheese. I have known of Dumouchel but not visited previously. I availed myself of a baguette, a croissant and a pastry similar to a doughnut consistency ( but not look). I also took a triangle of quiche. The items I had were simply wonderful. These people really know what they are doing. The goods on offer in the display counters also looked beautiful. I was served by the proprietor who was very friendly and helpful, a nice bit of service I thought. Super place!

Really delicious food, fantastic bread and plenty of naughty but REALLY nice treats. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the whole experience of choosing amazing french goods, is just perfect.

I got came for some eclairs as a gift and it was right at closing time but the staff were really great and had it packaged for me! The lady that served me was so friendly and knowledgeable. I got some cookies and Almond pain au.chocolat, it was all sensational! Will definitely be coming back

Been visiting the bakery since I was a little girl and I still love it just as much. The quality is always excellent and I don’t think I’ve ever left the store without smiling. Found out today he also stocks the local CLO coffee ‘fireside’. Everything stocked is always fresh- the pain eu Chocolat are my favourite. I’m not a lover of macarons but I always love the ones from here!

My wife and I couldn’t decide what NOT to get since it all looks so good and we were not disappointed with any of them. Thierry is so cheerful and friendly that I’m confident his passion and love for his work and his customers is a secret ingredient that makes it all taste even better.

Such a lovely little place and the owner is an absolute GEM of a man. So friendly. So warm. Very knowledgeable about his products and helpful in ordering. So happy we stopped here!!

I can’t believe we have only just discovered Dumouchel Patisserie! A wonderful little shop filled with wonderful treats! We visited for the first time today with our little boy and the owner was so kind and accommodating. We left with a bag full of croissants, bread, pork pies & chocolate and every thing was so delicious, this will be our new Saturday morning breakfast spot!

Finally paid a visit to this lovely patisserie after been their IG fan for a while. It was worth the travel as the pastries and desserts were delicious ! Toasted onion bread with hummus was perfect, thank you for your recommendation Thierry. Definitely a gem and I will be back for more yummy food. Thank you !

The standards here never fall below 5 star. The staff are absolutely wonderful and always make conversation and wish you a great day which always puts a smile on my face. The food is incredible and very worthy of the money - I could literally buy everything here :O Thanks again !!

First visit. How can have not known about this place! The raspberry turnover was out of this world. The chocolate covered nuts amazing. The bread rolls were honestly the best I've ever had. I will be a regular in future. You MUST visit this bakery. The owner was extremely pleasant and friendly too x

Probably the best patisserie in Yorkshire at the very least. Absolutely incredible selection of wonderful treats from trays of small sandwich platters through to some of the most wonderful desserts you have ever seen or eaten.

Everything here is delicious! My favourite is the almond pain au chocolat!

Amazing pastries and cakes, friendly staff, get there early as they sell out.

Oh I love this place so much! My daughter and I often pop by whilst on a walk and grab a madeleine or a sponge finger. The bread is absolutely Divine- in particular the cheese bread and onion bread. We’ve also had the birthday gateaux which is sublime. As for the service- phenomenal- Thierry is a delight and always so friendly with my little girl, and the other staff are also friendly and helpful. We also went to a bread making course back before Covid and it was so much fun! Such a gem to have in our little town.

Excellent French bakery and chocolatier

This place is as absolute gem. Everything I've ever tried from here has been absolutely superb and you can tell its been made with genuine love and care.

Met this lovely Gentleman at a food market in Otley on Saturday, his produce was not only lovely to the eye but delicious, he was kind enough to give my husband an extra cake and also my granddaughter a croissant, both free of charge . Living in Northampton, I will only be able to visit his bakery, when up visiting my son and his family in Allerton bywater , but I will certainly be doing so . Please go and see his bread and cakes , you will not be disappointed.

I ordered a cake for my birthday. It was one of tastiest and lightest birthday cake I have ever had in 10 years living in England! The price was very reasonable, the online ordering was easy and Thierry was welcoming and friendly. Thank you for making my birthday so sweet :-) Can't wait to return to this little gem.

Ordered an opera cake for my birthday. It was amazing! My favourite cake in the whole world, I also purchased other pastries and they were all delicious but that opera was divine. Had a nice big leftover piece for breakfast this morning. What a great start to the week!

first time trying this bakery out and we were amazed by the variety they offer here in Yorkshire. Top quality service and friendly people. The taste is nothing compared with the big stores bakery. My husband ordered my surprise birthday Origine to share in the garden with friends but Covid put and end to that. In the end, we had to eat it all ourselves but that wasn't difficult as we all agree that this is the BEST CHOCOLATE TREAT ever! Friends are gutted they didn't get any....does that mean I can have another birthday with Dumouchel cake once this horrid virus is under control....YES PLEASE! Can not reccommend Dumouchels highly enough - the quality is fantastic and nothing I've had from here, from the Origine to the bread and croisants, has been anything other than excellent. If you want a genuine experience of French patisserie then this is the ONLY place you should come. The bread, pastries, desserts and savouries are all stunning. I’d like to consider myself a regular now and I’ve never been disappointed. Not only is the food just great but the staff are so friendly and are happy to answer any questions you have about the food. Basically, go and enjoy a tres bon experience! 🥰

Having recently moved to the area this is our favourite place to go for a lunchtime treat for a welcome break from home working. Thierry and his staff are always so pleased to see you. The pastries, bread and other sweet tasty delights are all a force to be reckoned with. Everything we have tried so far has been perfect. It is a local treasure and is certainly worth a visit if you haven't tried it yet. Keep up the fantastic work and support local!

They also now offer vegan croissants and pain au chocolat and varying their offering to offer something for everyone. I simply can not recommend enough. If you've not been, it's a must.

We have been regular visitors to Dumouchel for many years. During lockdown, this became our saviour when we were able to order birthday cakes for our young daughters & collect at the door. The bread is always perfect, the gateaux are delicious & the croissants are wonderful. There’s no going back once you’ve been here. C’est parfait!

For our socially distanced Golden Wedding garden party on Yorkshire Day, we decided to source all the food locally. Thierry provided stunning canapes, amazing quiches, fruity tarts and a truly beautuful range of petits fours as well as a range of breads. Everyone loved all the food and were so impressed with the presentation and taste! Thank you Thierry!

Beautiful pastries. Outstanding bread. Fabulous service. Not only is everything on sale just stunning but you are given the freedom to look and question about it all. Often there are little tasters (pre-COVID) that highlight the skill of Thierry. I love it here.

Dumouchel is absolutely wonderful. There isn’t anything I can fault apart from the fact it doesn’t help my ever expanding waist line. We are always greeted with a smile and always receive excellent service. Thierry and his small team are a lovely bunch and you will not be disappointed!! Just make sure you arrive for opening to make sure you get to choose from his wide selection of delicious pastries, cakes and breads, especially on a Saturday!! His mille feuille and bostok are my particular favourites, they are absolutely divine! Thank you :)

Fabulous French bread, pastries, cake and chocolate.

After tasting their bread purchased from a local cheese shop we placed our Christmas order online. We had missed the Christmas order deadline but Thierry was fabulous assuring us to simply order on line whatever we needed and he would have it ready. We ordered a selection of breads, quiches, tarts and pastries....... what a spread we had. Truly delicious, shame I’d not taken photos of our feast.... We have found a gem of a place!

Fantastic, authentic French patisserie. Beautiful cakes, gateaux and bread, also supplies hotels and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff and parking in front of the shop. Special occasions such as Easter and Christmas allow a different variety of produce too. Highly recommended the chocolate gateaux type cakes.

We haven't visited before however we will be regulars from now on. It's a small shop however the produce and range was simply exceptional. The French bread was deliciously authentic, the almond plain au chocolat to die for and we haven't even started on the desserts yet. Lovely helpful staff in a wonderful local bakery. Exceptional.

We go in at least once a month to buy cakes and bread at a treat. It is always amazing. Go early because they always sell out. Cookery school is good fun too.

A genuine French bakery and patisserie only open at the back end of the week. Everything I have tried has been excellent - and I will be making lots of repeat visits to try other items! The quiches and croissants are fantastic. It's not cheap but it is great value for money.

While visiting friends in Garforth we decided to give a try best cakes and the bread is to die for, staff friendly and very helpful would highly recommend to anyone.
