Amazing Date night treat with my lovely wife. Everything we had was delicious. Definitely going back.

Ate here twice in 10 days, both times off an early-bird menu - two courses for 21 quid. Haddock pate, balsamic reduction over green vege and a roast chicken with superb mash potato stood out - absolutely fabulous. Good wine recommendation pairing, lovely service and one of the few restaurants around with out the self imposed service charge which meant I was happy to tip more.

Amazing food and a lovely Rodizio experience

We were a big group for Boxing Day dinner. Service good, food is always good, and recommend the lamb chops. Slight difference in the menu to previous years and slightly more expensive we thought, but nonetheless a good choice for meat and the usual Mediterranean fare, particularly in Newbury. One slight negative, the accompanying salads had little to no dressing, and an over abundance of raw carrot shavings. But overall would highly recommend!

Food good and service a bit slow but it was Boxing Day. However the female “manager” needs some serious customer service training. Aggressive and poor in her approach - didn’t bother telling us about the specials (she did to the next table but after we had ordered), didn’t check about allergies, didn’t know details on the menu and not particularly friendly at all. Other staff lovely. Get she probably didn’t want to be there but that’s no excuse in hospitality. Will go back for the food but hopefully she’s learnt some manners by then or, even better, it’s her day off. Letting a good place down sadly.

Sadly I took a close business associate to this restaurant on the recommendation of Trip Advisor We had travelled all day from different cities to different hotels to meet at the About Thyme Restaurant it was very closed and so far we have been told it has been that way for many months May I suggest that TA keeps their records up to date as with most technology it is driven by humans and is only as good as the information that is put in This was a very expensive mistake Obviously in future I will always check that TA is accurate I have always enjoyed TA and intend doing so in the future but please update your records

Fabulous Really friendly staff great welcome, we were upstairs which was nicely decorated and the food (3 roasts and puds) was excellent. Succulent meat and hot veg with delicious gravy. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you
