Gurkha Asian Fusion in New Forest

We recently had a meal at Gurkha Asian Fusion during our holiday. Venue was so much bigger than I thought, lovely decor and cosy inside. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was fantastic. We loved the menu choices and were spoilt for choice. Great kids curry options. Definitely recommend.

Service was amazing, we were greeted by having the door opened for us upon arrival, the food tasted fantasic, couldn't fault it at all. The staff were all polite and very attentive. Will 100% be visiting again

Everything was top notch. The food was really good, especially chicken chowmein which had a smokey taste. The service was efficient and warm.

My friends and I love this restaurant. The service is lovely, the staff are both patient and friendly, especially with some of the clientele they have to deal with. The food is delicious and it is really reasonable. I had the prawn pad thai this time.

We phoned up wondering where our food was and they said they tried to deliver it and phoned multiple times(which wasn’t true) The man on the phone was very rude.

We went today for the first time for lunch and had a really good meal. I can recommend the honey chicken and pilau rice. My husband had Thai green chicken which was also very good.

Had a takeaway delivery last night 25th October. The meal was fantastic and so much of it. Loved it. The chap who delivered it was very polite .

Food was not great! Pad Thai noodles were inedible!! One dish described as a 3 chilli heat rating had zero heat 🤦🏻‍♂️🌶️🌶️🌶️❌

Absolutely sublime! I eat a lot of Thai, Indian and Nepalese food and I can genuinely say this was the most tasty, rich and perfectly balanced Thai Red Curry I’ve ever had. The rice was perfect and although I randomly added a peshwari naan to my order, it was as perfect as my meal. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meal and the restaurant was extremely accommodating for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

I had been looking forward to going here for quite a while!, food was really nice, hot, fresh, great taste but service was very slow, they forgot drinks we ordered and two of the staff were very young, one rolling his eyes when he needed to work and the other chewing gum when taking our order, I’m guessing they were very short staffed and got the family to help. Staffing is a problem these days so I do understand there plight!. Overall the food stands out, tasty, hot, fresh just don’t be in a hurry when you visit 👍😊

My previous review below was based on a delivery meal, having now had a meal in the newly located restaurant my opinion is even better, food is very good, service and cleanliness excellent with prices that are justified by the Quality. This is now the best curry / fusion restaurant in Ringwood by a long way will definitely be using again. Previous review: Very good food with loads of flavour, prompt delivery, good value compared with other similar restaurants in the area, will definitely use again. Just my opinion but dishes tend to be a little hotter than those in similar restaurants, but don't let that put you off.

Really great food, the gurkha's revenge curry was seriously good, really nice egg rice and one of the best garlic naan.

Overall a nice meal, nothing special. Paid a pound for spicy popadom that was half the size of the normal one at the same price. Was very busy and the food took over an hour but that’s understandable. Nice people working there. Portions sizes where about right (bar the popadom) would give a 3/5. Food was nice. Not much to complain about. Might try again another day. Good luck to them in the future.

Super place to eat in every way.

The food was pretty good but both curries were full of oil when we open the tubs. This was the grandma's curry. Definitely prefer to stick with Verwood curry house

What a delightful experience ~ after many recommendations from friends that have good taste In quality food we stopped by chance last night and tried The Ghurkha in Ringwood. From the minute we walked in even though we had not booked we were treated politely and cordially. We started with three poppadoms and chutneys . The mint and yoghurt dip was superb and unlike any that we have ever tasted. My husband went for the Grandmas curry and was delighted with egg fried rice and I having little appetite in the heat had a tandoori poori bread and tempura prawns . Exceptional food and a bill of only £ £35.90 ! We shall definitely be returning on a regular basis. Many thanks to all the team. Ian and Denise Bell

Every time I've visited here, I've had a warm and friendly welcome. The food is great as is the atmosphere. There is a good selection of dishes and the pricing is fair. Overall this is a great place to dine.

We are never disappointed! All dishes taste delicious, and there is a lovely variety on the Menu.

We drove through Ringwood en route to Bournemouth, and stumbled across Gurkha. The friendly waiters helped us find something suitable for the children who prefer mild food and we had some really tasty food ourselves. Being from London, where we have access to plenty of Indian restaurants - we rated this one highly! The food, service and atmosphere is really great. Try it!

Well.... service is top notch, its been a while where i was looked after this much!the waiter's are doing a really good job makeing sure that the food is right, and that everything is okay, it just gives you such a good comfort that everything is great!the food itself is amazing, especially the the Nepalese honey chiken 👌🏻the restaurant itself is fairly specious and well decorated, cleanliness was not an issue, and the atmosphere with some chill background music is perfect!

We were introduced to this restaurant when we came back from Thailand end of February this year. We found it to be brilliant, i.e. food drinks and service, since then we have been several times all for special events of which they have made rememberable for us. Roberta

Even after its moved it still provides brilliant food and brilliant service.. Very well served and I was payed close attention to during my meal. Attentive service and tasty food is this places bread and butter and it doesn't get any better. Second time there and it was great Nice to find out it's moving down the road to a bigger place. 3rd time they moved and so I've updated my review again.

Friendly and best curry in Ringwood 👌

A very popular place in a Tuesday evening but very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 2 X Chicken Shashliks, Balti and Noodles were all delicious with pilau rice, poppadoms, 3 beers, 2 wines and a coke we spent £83 which is very reasonable for 4 people 😋

Absolutely delicious and very flavorful dishes with the perfect amount of heat. One of the best restaurants we've ate at in a long time. Looking forward to eating here again soon with my family visiting from the US.

We were very excited about 4.8 ⭐️ but ended up disappointed with service, waiting for the order around an hour. Starters (momo and corn soup) were ok-ish, the main (korma) was fair, nothing special. The staff were not trained enough and we got different replies about the allergen info from different people. For food 4, for service 3

After reading the reviews I decided to ordered a takeaway. If the food is that good in the restaurant maybe they should not do takeaways. Food was really poor and pricey.

Food was really delicious, served promptly and at right temperature with a smile. Waiter was very understanding of our dietary needs and had some good recommendations. 10/10 would come back.

Really very good food. Service was good, cheerful and genuine. Loos were clean. Pricing at about £35 per head including wine, beers starters and main. So, pretty average to good nowadays. The layout is on 3 levels so The only thing I'd warn about is that you need to be able to climb stairs wherever you're sat (assuming you'll visit the loo at some point). Update, 2022 Sept. Still great. Had a another really good evening

Absolutely fantastic! Everyone one was lovely and really cared. They even learnt our names! As well as this, the food was delicious. The levels of spice are perfect for all ages. All in all,a perfect evening out for everyone.

Great curry, one of the best I've ever had. Would fully recommend the Nepalese curries. They're a bit different from usual curries. Great staff, very friendly and good recommendations.

First we have been to The Gurkha, I would certainly go again. My only complaint would be that they keep their bottles of Ringwood beer in a fridge and I think it should be at room temperature.

My wife and I had been told good things about this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try for ourselves. We were not disappointed. It was clean and well presented, the service was attentive, the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Ate here tonight with my partner! Had the choice whether to sit upstairs or down and chose downstairs lovely relaxed restraunt and the food was sooo delicious! We had lamb dumplings, grandmas curry and another curry with battered chicken and would highly reccomend it all so good! Definitely be bringing friends back with us!

Deserves a 5* review. If you like your food spicy then there's something for everyone on this small but comprehensive Nepalese menu. The food is delicious, well cooked with quality ingredients, well presented in a comfortable and warm setting. Friendly attentive owner and staff to help you enjoy the experience. Definitely worth and visit and will be returning again.

Been a few times and each and every time it’s been excellent. Food is very tasty and a change from the norm. Service is friendly and excellent and I thoroughly recommend Gurkhas for a great place to eat.
