Curry Garden in New Forest

Visiting my nephew who lives in nearby St Leonard's and visited The Curry Garden for a takeaway, on the recommendation of him and some friends. The immediate impression was that the restaurant was jaded and could do with a spruce-up. This was compounded by the behaviour of one of the staff, who was brusque, bordering on rude, when we placed our order. We ordered a king prawn dhansak, pilau rice and a couple of side dishes, plus a peshwari naan, all of which were excellent. Would happily return, but in the hope that the person who served us was having a bad day and is significantly more welcoming next time.

A wet Wednesday in Ringwood. Went to curry garden with my wife and son. Nihat looked after us superbly. All our food was excellent - Pathia, Chicken Saag, and a chicken hathora from their Bangladesh menu which tasted fab. Bindi bhaji made with fresh okra was so well cooked and delicately spiced. It’s just a great Indian run by lovely people.

Very impressed with the meal. The very helpful delivery driver bought it to our door even tho it was out of her way. Delivered within an hour. As we’re a few miles from Ringwood (in a holiday let) there was a delivery charge. The meal was delicious. We had two mains and two sides plus rice and poppadoms. All still hot and lovely flavours. This is rated the best in Ringwood - we haven’t tried the others- but I would suspect it is. Worth a visit/try!

Great find while staying in Ringwood. We ate on a Friday and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Waiter service was a bit patchy having to ask several times for tap water and an extra plate for our children who and small sharing dishes. Overall the food and flavours was one of the best curry’s we’ve had. The flavours really popped and nothing meek about them. The whole family enjoyed their food.

Just visited Curry Garden and wow. An incredible meal. So many curry’s are bland or “nothing special “ versions of… but not the one I just had. Chose from the Bangladesh menu and so pleased I took the plunge and selected something I’d never heard of, a Deshi Meeta Koyfol. Incredible! Great food, great service. All in all a fabulous experience and a place I will return to when next in Ringwood. If you are anywhere near Ringwood, do yourself s favour and visit this fabulous curry house.

Half term in the New Forest. Following our day in the New Forest and staying in Burley we ventured to Curry Garden. It was a Wednesday so we choose the £22.95 banquet menu. Value and food was great. Not greasy, highlight for me was the onion bhaji normally done badly it was crispy, flavoursome light and fluffy. Our curries had immense flavour particularly the Patia and the chicken was soft and juicy. Nihad was a great host and would happily come back next time we are in the area again! Highly recommended!

We went to Curry Garden last Sunday evening following an event at Beaulieu House. We have been there before but visit infrequently as it's not local to us. However, we remembered how nice the food was and this visit did not disappoint - albeit it was a very quiet evening. The food is really good here. My husband has a preference for Methi dishes, which are very fragrant and flavoursome (cooked with fenugreek) although not to everyone's taste and not many restaurants will prepare it. However, he declared it was superb. All the food is cooked fresh to order, is nicely presented and the friendly staff make you feel very welcome. Well worth a try if you are passing.

We visited here with friends on a weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was a bit hit a miss. I enjoyed mine, whilst others were underwhelmed. Saying that, I personally wouldn't return but don't let that put you off

Came out to celebrate my 50th birthday with family. We were a group of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Offered a drink straight away and left to look at the menu. Just had a Indian delivered to local campsite in crow , , everything was perfect , excellent customer service on the phone ordering it , super fast delivery , professional delivery driver and the food was amazing , food was piping hot and flavours were spot on , highly recommend people try this great Indian , well done to all the staff 👍👍👍

We booked here to celebrate a friends birthday and very much enjoyed our evening! The food was simply delicious and service was second to none. We loved the free ice cream too.. lovely touch! We will be returning, thank you!

Really poor experience on a quiet Thursday night. There was a huge argument in the kitchen, took forever to get our food and when it did come it was really poor - chicken was poor quality and one of the worst I’ve had and they are very expensive. I’ll stick to other options in Ringwood there are loads of curry options.

A really great evening out. The curry, a chicken tikka Ceylon and a lamb hatkora (both ordered vindaloo hot) were delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly - and we ended up with some to take home too! Thank you team.

Visited last night with reasonably high expectations. However, the meal was average, the restaurant staff appeared to be ill prepared and slightly disorganised. Attended here after making a booking as we were staying at St. Leonards. After giving our name to the presumed Manager, we were shown to our table without so much as a " good evening, how are you"?Shown to our table, only 4 other diners in the restaurant.Given menus in quite a surly manner, with no conversation made.Ordered our meals which were average in quantity and taste.Again the Manager walking around an almost empty restaurant looking around and looked at us without asking if all was well.Not customer focused or interested in his customers at all.The chap who was serving drinks had much better customer skills, at least he spoke to us.Am I expecting too much??Would not visit again if in the area as the atmosphere was "cold".

Penultimate eat in to help out night. Restaurant was so so busy and therefore a little longer to wait for our food which is understandable when they keep the quality so high. on holiday in Ringwood and was looking for an indian restaurant to visit. Booked a table for Wednesday 19th August. Dmashing food and family friendly,my three boys loved the chicken tikka starter and the chicken korma as a main.

My Family and I attended this curry house. The food was good however everything else was chaotic... staff with no role walking around doing very little, long waiting times and a price of 10 pound for 6 poppadoms and dips...

I went to collect a take away, it was an hour late coming out, was stone cold and the £13 king prawn jalfrezzi had no king prawns in it and was less than half a normal serving. I wonder if the delay was due to the staff arguing with tables of dissatisfied customers. Then they came out and insisted that I'd already had my order as the chef had cooked that meal twice that evening. Once reheated it was very tasty though.

My Husband and I have been visiting this curry house for around 6 years now, since we first got together and used to meet halfway between where we lived. Circumstances have now changed and we live together with a baby, but we still are sure to visit at least once a year as a treat! It's also nice to see the same faces each time we go and yesterday be able to take our little girl to our special place for the first time! The staff are always very welcoming, go above and beyond and very attentive. The food is exceptional. I ordered a simple Chicken Tikka Masala yesterday and it was the best I've ever had. Even the Poppadoms are amazing and I am not usually a massive fan. The onion bhaji's are also by far the best onion bhaji's I've ever tasted. We were both very sceptical, even trusting this curry house, in terms of going out for dinner with Covid. However, I can honestly say I felt completely at ease with staff wearing protective masks/gloves and with plastic sheeting (almost like transparent shower curtains) separating each table so that you felt unexposed to other guests. We took our 6 month old with us and they were very accommodating, even when she had a little tizz, though that did not last long. She gave a 10/10 for the Naan bread and the very small amount of vanilla ice cream -- she thought that was the best thing in the world! All in all, I would never hesitate to recommend this curry house. We travel around an hour just to eat here -- something we usually would never even consider!

We ordered this pack last Friday the 3rd, for the Saturday lunchtime . My partner felt be had been overcharged for the poppadoms we had as an extra to go with the dips. We clearly asked whether the poppadoms would keep till them to be assured they would. We awaited a call back from manager to discuss the over charging of which never came! The following day our guest arrived so we went to get the poppadoms and they were all soft and had to be thrown. Huge disappointment and spent £10 or more on just them!The BBQ pack was however excellent and enjoyed by all and if we weren't so un impressed with the lack of contact and the poppadoms, we would certainly get that again. We tried to support local such a shame !

Of course the food is incredible. It is fresh, fragrant and always comes out piping hot. The amazing food is accompanied with even better service - always with a smile and a friendly joke or 2.Lovely atmosphere, however it is a small space so can get a bit crowded on a busy evening. That being said, it is still airy with gorgeous windows looking onto the high street. Very clean and neat.I can 100% recommend this restaurant for both eat in and takeaway. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed!

First time to the restaurant tonight and we were blown away! Absolutely delicious!! We ordered off the street food menu. For two people, three starters, poppadom and an order of peshwari naan was plenty. The service was welcoming and so friendly. I've already started thinking about what I want to try off their menu next!

Staying in the local area for a few days we found this restaurant using trip advisor. I was planning on just having a run of the mill curry but seeing the Bangladeshi menu decided to step out of my comfort zone and with some help from the staff decided to have a DESHI KEEMA. Amazing, the flavours were so good, it did not disappoint. So glad I went for this. Will definitely visit again next time in the area.

Following a trip to the New Forest National Park, my friends and I were recommended to try the Curry Garden in Ringwood town centre for an evening meal. And we were not disappointed!

It's the first time I have had a take away from the Curry Garden, we ordered online which was very easy. The food was still piping hot by the time we returned home.

Having moved to NE Scotland we really miss the Curry Garden. Back in Dorset for a week so had the opportunity to visit the best Indian restaurant we've ever been to. We were not disappointed!!

As I had a friend staying, it was an opportunity to eat in the restaurant for a change, as this is my usual go to for Indian take aways. The food was good, although we did suggest that the chef needed to reduce the sugar (sweetness) content of the chicken tikka masala - we asked for some extra chilli, which we got, however the dish was still quite sweet - and with the current national focus on reducing the intake of sugar in many products, we felt the chef should also be thinking abut that aspect of their food. The rest was all good and the service was very attentive and we were encouraged to leave feedback on the meal, which we did on the night.

Very attentive and knowledgeable staff, who couldn't do enough to help or answer questions! Karahi and Paneer main dishes, as well as Tarka Dahl side - ALL very good. Couldn't recommend more!

Chicken Jalfrezi and Prawn Masala were quite disappointing, rather tasteless and lacking in spice. Takk Dahl was lacking in substance, watery and had no sign of any lentils. Presumably they ran out of garlic, chillies and lentils!

On holiday nearby in the New Forest. We have had dinner at Curry Garden more than once. As a family, we do enjoy Indian food and therefore know when a good one is found (or bad ones for that matter!!) Curry Garden is very definitely a good one. Really lovely food, reasonable price and good service. Very happy customers.

Visited whilst exploring the new forest. Arrived early on a Friday evening and managed to get a table. Food really good and cooked fresh. Special mention to all the staff, the young lady and man, plus Vincent whom offered that little bit extra.

My husband and I where staying in Ringwood and we stopped here to eat. We started with popudoms and chutneys. Then we had the chicken jalfrezi which was very spicy with lots of flavour. We also had a lamb ceyon, keema naan and pilur rice. We also had a large wine and a king Fisher beer. Excellent value for money, our bill was just over £40. The customer service was excellent, especially Vincent who was very polite and noyjing was too much trouble. He even took our wet jackets and hung them up separately hoping they would dry for us. We will definitely return on our next break in this area.

While staying for a few days in Ringwood, I checked TripAdvisor and the Curry Garden was reputedly the #1 Indian Restaurant.

We have been to the Curry Garden a number of times. Always happy with the service. Staff are friendly and not overly attentive ( ie not constantly asking if the meal is ok). Happy with the food although the two veggie options were very similar in taste. We have leaned that we have to ask for hot ( ie spicy hot) as I think they tend to be cautious.

This place was recommended by a friend and, as it is run by the same people who run Indigo very close by, i had hoped it would be just as good. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was just average in my opinion and not good enough for me to be hurrying back.The venue is more like a steak house with pop music playing in the background. The staff and the service are first class,very friendly and helpful but when we went to leave, no one seemed to notice. It would have been nice to at least acknowledge that we were leaving i think.

We had a lovely early evening meal, which was unfortunately spoiled by a huge crowd of loud men. The food was really good though.

Stay in ringwood with my parents as a half way point before getting to our holiday destination. I have been there twice now and couldn't fault either time!! Great food, great service, great place. Highly recommend!!!

My office was right opposite the Curry Garden so I know it pretty well. It was always a place to get a good honest curry but since retiring I hadn't been back for awhile.

Well decorated place and friendly efficient staff. Cold lager and a good menu. The food was very good and spicy, with the right amount of heat and spices. Great place

Was recommended to go by a friend food good but a large table of really awful people shouting swearing so loud one couple walked in then wailked out. I wish we would have done the same staff. Excellent food and attentive service. Quite busy as was banquet night but plenty of room and not noisy. We decided to stick to the normal menu as the banquet looked to be too much food at 4 courses for us. Lamb Kashmiri and prawn Ceylon were excellent. Food delivered quickly by friendly and attentive but discrete staff. Reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

A bit of a wait for the main dish. Starters arrived 20mins then 30mins for mains. But the food was very tasty. Well presented and cooked. Staff apologetic regarding waiting.

Always a joy to eat here. The waiters (particularly Jay) are friendly, helpful & knowledgable and just so keen to share their cuisine with you. Nothing is too much trouble - dish too spicy? We’ll change it. Want to try something new - happy to talk to you about the flavours, spices etc. I love restaurants that make you feel like a valued old friend, even if this is your first visit & this is definitely one of those restaurants.
