Curry Garden in New Forest

Visited here on a Friday night and was deserted so should have been a sign of things to come. Service was ok but quite slow and a little unorganised. Unfortunately the worst element was the food, was very flavourless, had a Jalfrezi and was the most bland curry I’ve ever eaten. Friend had a chicken dhansak and only contained three bits of chicken. The onion bhajis were actually ok but were completely dripping in far too much oil and left a 1/2 cm oil puddle at the bottom of the dish. Really off-putting. Took ages to get our bill and pay despite being only one of two tables in the place. There are better places in Ringwood by a long way so wouldn’t return.

We booked a table for 6 for an early evening dinner for the family (Three Brothers from different parts of the country) who were in town for a family celebration. I have had a couple of takeaways from here before when visiting, but never eaten in. The welcome we received was outstanding and the attention to our group throughout our meal was perfect. As far as the food was concerned, which were very flavoursome ... All plates were empty at the end!! Special thanks to 'Eva', who I think was fairly new and Kelly, who is one of the 'longer' standing staff members!! .. Both fantastic and deserve a mention. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning in the future.

That was the best tarka dhal I have ever had. And I’m fussy about it.

Food taste was ok but waited one and a half hours to get actually get food ! Staff wandering around not doing anything , went up to pay as we had children and needed to get home , found staff checking his share prices! Bill wasn’t read and lots of fumbling around to get the bill prepared . We have lived in the area for 30 years and been to thi# restaurant many times but it has slowly got worse . This will be the last visit .

We ordered a takeaway for nine of us. We had a mixture of dishes including a lamb Ceylon, a chicken madras, chicken balti, sag aloo, Bombay aloo etc. we found the food itself good quality and really tasty. However, we skimmed a bit on some sides we'd have liked (poppadoms etc.) and yet it still came to just over £150 for the nine of us whereas we're more used to paying about £100 max. Whilst the food seemed good quality and definitely was tasty, the amount of meat or portions etc. wasn't overwhelming and I wouldn't rush to have another at these prices.

Staff were very friendly, made sure all our needs were attended to, food was fantastic, nice atmosphere, would definitely go again

we had a table of 8 celebrating my partners birthday and were sat in a lovely room out the back. The food was incredible and by far the best curry we’ve had yet. All of the staff were so accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be back in a hurry!

Went on a Monday evening… Admittedly: not the best night to test atmosphere of a restaurant Considering we were the only remaining diners… The service was slow Food was simply ‘ok!’ Today (both my partner and me) had upset stomachs)… Not really inclined to recommend… Not the best value either… All in all: had much better for what we paid Disappointed Suspect the other 2 restaurants in Ringwood would be a better choice!

HIGHLY recommend! One of the best curries we've ever had - tasty curries, fresh poppadoms, and the naans were amazing. Friendly service too, especially given we were celebrating a birthday !

This was the most disappointing curry that’s we have ever had. My partner ordered Chicken Tikka maosaloo and l ordered lamb Jalfrizzi. The Marsaloo appearance was a dish of ketchup with six large lumps of chicken and was just as unappetising as its appearance. The Jalfrizzi in appearance was an overcooked vegetable stew with six lumps of lamb again very unappetising. We tried to make the best of it but we’re unable to finish either dish We paid and left totally dissatisfied. We both suffered nippy tummies. The one highlight of the visit was a reasonably priced bottle of Friscati.

Most delicious curry we've had in ages - great variety of dishes all expertly cooked - and excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered a takeaway from this restaurant, they charge extortionate prices and the food is below average at best. Popadoms were stale and mint sauce tasted off...Sag paneer wasn't great either. Would not order again.

Hit and miss. First problem ordered a Ceylon and madras both dishes felt like the chef fell asleep whilst applying chilli powder. I mean ouch. Fair play we received a free curry dish not rice on our next order. Second bad experience is a jalfrezi. More like a biryani, if you like dry curry you’re in. Thinking of looking for options in Ringwood.

Beautiful food and delivery driver

Visiting my nephew who lives in nearby St Leonard's and visited The Curry Garden for a takeaway, on the recommendation of him and some friends. The immediate impression was that the restaurant was jaded and could do with a spruce-up. This was compounded by the behaviour of one of the staff, who was brusque, bordering on rude, when we placed our order. We ordered a king prawn dhansak, pilau rice and a couple of side dishes, plus a peshwari naan, all of which were excellent. Would happily return, but in the hope that the person who served us was having a bad day and is significantly more welcoming next time.

Takeaway from this restaurant, ordered and paid online. Menu and payment process was easy to do, wait time was 70mins which was quite a long time for 3 items ordered. Food arrived within 70 min, I ordered a Chicken tikka Bombay, unfortunately it was very bland and had more potato in it than chicken, the added long hair was not welcome, I suggest some better anti hair protocol! Keema naan was ordered but was cold and had little meat in it, chicken tikka biriyani was the third item, had a massive broccoli in it and a third of the tray was onion. Definitely not the best Indian Takeaway in the area! Won't be ordering from here again.

A wet Wednesday in Ringwood. Went to curry garden with my wife and son. Nihat looked after us superbly. All our food was excellent - Pathia, Chicken Saag, and a chicken hathora from their Bangladesh menu which tasted fab. Bindi bhaji made with fresh okra was so well cooked and delicately spiced. It’s just a great Indian run by lovely people.

Very impressed with the meal. The very helpful delivery driver bought it to our door even tho it was out of her way. Delivered within an hour. As we’re a few miles from Ringwood (in a holiday let) there was a delivery charge. The meal was delicious. We had two mains and two sides plus rice and poppadoms. All still hot and lovely flavours. This is rated the best in Ringwood - we haven’t tried the others- but I would suspect it is. Worth a visit/try!

Driver was so very lovely, accidentally left some of our food but she came back within 5 minutes to replace it with compensation. Amazing service and we never have a bad meal from here

Best curry had in a while. Even cooked it to how hot I wanted it. Was that hot had everyone coughing even waiter bringing it out 😂

Had a nice meal at this place. The staff was polite even when the restaurant was very busy. There is a suggestion: The smell of the oil in the papadum was very strong. It seemed to have used old oil. If this thing gets fixed, there was nothing else that would give me or even a customer like me a chance to complain!

Visited with my son. We liked it so much we went every night of our 3 day stay in the New Forest!

Nice friendly restaurant with good food

Great find while staying in Ringwood. We ate on a Friday and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Waiter service was a bit patchy having to ask several times for tap water and an extra plate for our children who and small sharing dishes. Overall the food and flavours was one of the best curry’s we’ve had. The flavours really popped and nothing meek about them. The whole family enjoyed their food.

Have loved this place for a while now, my family have become regulars. Great atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and easy to talk to, the food quality is superb! They even have a separate room at the back for large bookings

My wife loved it but it was not my favourite Indian.

Just visited Curry Garden and wow. An incredible meal. So many curry’s are bland or “nothing special “ versions of… but not the one I just had. Chose from the Bangladesh menu and so pleased I took the plunge and selected something I’d never heard of, a Deshi Meeta Koyfol. Incredible! Great food, great service. All in all a fabulous experience and a place I will return to when next in Ringwood. If you are anywhere near Ringwood, do yourself s favour and visit this fabulous curry house.

Half term in the New Forest. Following our day in the New Forest and staying in Burley we ventured to Curry Garden. It was a Wednesday so we choose the £22.95 banquet menu. Value and food was great. Not greasy, highlight for me was the onion bhaji normally done badly it was crispy, flavoursome light and fluffy. Our curries had immense flavour particularly the Patia and the chicken was soft and juicy. Nihad was a great host and would happily come back next time we are in the area again! Highly recommended!

Very very good curry! Impressed! On holiday and just too a punt on this because of the reviews and they were right!!!! Beware the garlic chicken has whole chillis’ in it!! Hot but v nice!!! X

We went to Curry Garden last Sunday evening following an event at Beaulieu House. We have been there before but visit infrequently as it's not local to us. However, we remembered how nice the food was and this visit did not disappoint - albeit it was a very quiet evening. The food is really good here. My husband has a preference for Methi dishes, which are very fragrant and flavoursome (cooked with fenugreek) although not to everyone's taste and not many restaurants will prepare it. However, he declared it was superb. All the food is cooked fresh to order, is nicely presented and the friendly staff make you feel very welcome. Well worth a try if you are passing.

We visited here with friends on a weekend. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was a bit hit a miss. I enjoyed mine, whilst others were underwhelmed. Saying that, I personally wouldn't return but don't let that put you off

Came out to celebrate my 50th birthday with family. We were a group of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. We were welcomed and shown to our table. Offered a drink straight away and left to look at the menu. Food came out hot and everything as it should be. Had a lovely meal in a relaxed setting. Will recommend and will return

Food was a little late due to it being a bank holiday. The restaurant called to let us know and gave us a choice of free soft drink as compensation - great service.

Just had a Indian delivered to local campsite in crow , , everything was perfect , excellent customer service on the phone ordering it , super fast delivery , professional delivery driver and the food was amazing , food was piping hot and flavours were spot on , highly recommend people try this great Indian , well done to all the staff 👍👍👍

Simply delicious and enough for two scrumptious meals

We booked here to celebrate a friends birthday and very much enjoyed our evening! The food was simply delicious and service was second to none. We loved the free ice cream too.. lovely touch! We will be returning, thank you!

Really poor experience on a quiet Thursday night. There was a huge argument in the kitchen, took forever to get our food and when it did come it was really poor - chicken was poor quality and one of the worst I’ve had and they are very expensive. I’ll stick to other options in Ringwood there are loads of curry options.

The take away chicken madras was awful, chicken tough so maybe been cooking for a long time. King Prawn Korma , the prawns were gristly so left some as could not eat!! Rice & chappathi were great!

V v disappointing. Took my boy to banquet night advertised on their website at £19 pp. portions small and lukewarm and when the bill came the banquet was £23 pp. no explanation. No response. Will not be returning

A really great evening out. The curry, a chicken tikka Ceylon and a lamb hatkora (both ordered vindaloo hot) were delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly - and we ended up with some to take home too! Thank you team.

Genuinely great Indian food. The name “Curry to go” doesn’t do it justice, makes you think it will be run of the mill stuff but it’s actually very good quality.

Visited last night with reasonably high expectations. However, the meal was average, the restaurant staff appeared to be ill prepared and slightly disorganised. The atmosphere wasn't particularly inviting. Overall, left feeling that the price didn't reflect the food prepared and the atmosphere was below par.

We decided to try this place as the other restaurants were all charging a fortune on NYE It was really tasty and very friendly service Butter chicken really nice!!

The most overpriced average food I’ve ever ordered. An absolute rip off, disappointing quality.

I got a phone call 5 mins before the earliest delivery time advising that they were running late and giving me a delivery time 25 mins after the latest advised delivery time. Apologetic and a little gift of a bottle of beer. Food arrived 5 mins early and was hot and a great standard!
