Ordered online for 2 x chicken burgers and 2 x red fries. Expect to pay around £25, arranged for collection and arrived promptly, the order was ready. The whole ordering process was really straightforward. The burgers remained warm as did the red chips. Definite stand out are the red chips and waylands burger. Must recommend. Lovely atmosphere normally when you're on site and glad to see the restaurant are doing well through COVID.

It's all tasteful minimalist decor with industrial lighting and Japanese inspired artwork in this hip brunch place near Foregate Street railway station. Very decent coffee in all permutations is served. The speciality is crumpets and fried chicken which seem a bit random but it works. I had the big stack with egg dipped crumpets with sage and fennel sausage. The result was a great flavour combo that married English afternoon tea with Tuscany and succeeded well. They do classic breakfast fayre too including poached eggs and porridge oats. Price wise it's spot on for the quality and presentation.

Been a couple of years since my last visit, but this visit did leave me somewhat disappointed with the serviceBeing a Saturday early afternoon, the place was busy, we were seated straight away, guy showing us to our table was pleasant and chatty, informed us that someone would be along to take our order. We waited, and waited, eventually someone came to take our drinks order. Again, we waited and waited for our drinks to arrive. We ordered food which came promptly and was spot on. Food - Spot on Drinks - GoodService - SlowStaff friendliness - Spot on

What a fantastic start to my day as a mate and I met over breakfast this morning at the very cool Waylands Yard in Worcester. I have never been disappointed on a visit here and this morning was no exception. I also encouraged the staff by saying how impressed I was that the owner, Sam Smith, went to the trouble of hand delivering an order of coffee to our home last evening and we were very impressed by that! The staff are always welcoming, hospitable and fun, the food is always well prepared and scrumptious and you leave feeling perked up and cheery! I love it so much. Thanks, guys, you serve this city well.

Went at half 10 on a Saturday so fair enough a busy day. Seated on benches with a table at our knees, clearly too busy and we shouldn't have been seated. 3 coffees and 3 juices took 30 mins to arrive. Finally moved to an actual table. A further 50 minutes before food arrived. Moved to a table inside as it was also raining. Arrived to food stone cold as though it had been plated for a long time. Overpriced enough without it being cold. Probably a nice restaurant when not busy. All we received was a sorry for our wait. Won't be returning.

Came here based off the pictures of the food looking lovely and it didn’t disappoint there. Food was lovely however being that the menu is viewed via phones now, there was no drinks menu to look at since we can’t go up to the counter (and only one from the table can go up and order as well) and there’s no access to a drinks menu online either. Went for the blue raspberry iced tea but it was disappointing. No flavour at all so basically just spent £3.00 for coloured water. Otherwise, nice enough place and would probably visit again if I’m in the area.

I was disgusted to see such a racist and appalling review below so I thought I’d review the countless times I’ve visited this restaurant over the last 3 years and loved it. I’ve never felt less than welcome and I’ve never had a problem with service.Maybe some customers need to look at themselves when they’ve had a bad restaurant experience and wonder what THEY can do to make service staff more inclined to help. If you walk in with such a disgusting attitude you’re never going to be happy with what you get.I love the staff here and I hope with all my heart they don’t have to deal with this customer again. In these covid times, we all have had to adapt our eating experiences and expectations. I've been lucky enough to receive a waylands yard lockdown delivery. It was the weekend they did their baked eggs box which came with eggs (obviously), an amazing sourdough loaf, doughnuts, herbs and green salt, fresh ground coffee, milk and all the accompaniments to make their signature baked eggs. There are many places changing to a delivery or collection business model and is a credit to everyone to do that...however waylands yard are certainly showing how it should be done. The delivery was received as expected, the quality of product was outstanding and the provision of a method sheet was appreciated to give us a how to if you want to go and replicate their recipe, which whilst I tried there is no way I could hit their standards. In short, if you are able to get an order in then do so for sure. They are proving very popular but keep trying if at first you miss out, you will not be disappointed. Keep on doing what you do guys, when able to open again I will certainly be visiting. Before that happens, I'll keep on ordering from this exceptional establishment. P.s. the method roast coffee that you can order from them is, in my opinion, a perfect blend!

Me and my sis live so far apart, so to spend some quality festive time together os a rare treat. My sis lives in Worcester and so recommended Waylands Yard for an Xmas Eve Eve brunch! We got a cosy little table and I ordered the Christmas crumpets special and my sis had one of the one pot meals. We waited quite a while, but all was forgiven as one staff member came and explained that the camembert has turned to molten lava on top of my Xmas crumpets and wouldn't have been very nice, so they were re-making! I actually really appreciated the honesty, and it gave me extra time to chat to the sis! My crumpets arrived perfectly cooked not long after, and we both enjoyed the food, and would say 10/10! Lovely place, lovely food, lovely staff and lovely atmosphere!

On a beautiful, hot summer's day we went to Wayland's Yard with our friends for our first visit in the late afternoon in order to top up the tank after a bust day in the city (girls shopping ; boys 'sightseeing'). It's certainly an interesting eatery with a funky / hippy style feel (showing our ages!) - we chose to eat outside at the rear of the restaurant which has a few quirky little rooms tucked away - the outside space was much larger than we expected and furnished again with all sorts of interesting tracklements. Seating for us was 'bench style' in the sun which encouraged us to go for a cold lager - Red Stripe from a tin was well received by the boys and at a reasonable price too whilst the girls had a nice glass of wine. We ordered 4 different meals (2 different vegetarians) and these were creatively served together and were piping hot, substantial and very tasty - our appetites were satisfied and we enjoyed the venue very much.

From the funky dark grey and orange decor, to the helpful staff and the good quality tea and coffee this feels like a big city hipster hangout and is a great addition for Worcester. A lot of the menu choices are based round breakfast / brunch ideas, but even the simplest of them are done with a touch of flair. The eggy crumpets went down a treat, as did the pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup. A great place to fuel up if you've a train to catch and no shabby chic mismatched crockery in sight, thank goodness!

Myself and my partner arrived at 7:05 to grab a quick coffee before our train at 7:14. My first complaint is the almost 10 minute wait. Now, I have worked in a coffee shop and know how fast it should be to make 2 coffees (flat whites as well). I was met with a snobby and pretentious comment of “we don’t do syrups”. Syrups aren’t uncool so don’t make a customer feel like an idiot for asking. Then to top it off, a customer turned up just after us and ordered a coffee but was given his coffee before us. Now yet again I will cite back to my earlier comment of working in a coffee shop - so I know that this is a no no. You don’t serve a customer before you’ve served the first customer. All in all, terrible customer service and the place is obviously pretentious and full of pretentious coffee ‘lovers’ who think that syrup ruins a coffee

The service and the manageress in particular was outstanding when my wife (for the first time ever) suddenly fainted. It helped that we had 2 medics sitting next to us (and a big thanks to them), but everything was handled in a calm and efficient manner and my wife was quickly back on her feet.

The best cheese toastie I’ve ever had, an excellent flat white, great atmosphere and friendly service. What’s not to like?

Went here the other day with friends and decided to have the avacardo smash with poached eggs, I asked the server if I could have extra avacardo without the eggs as I'm trying to be vegetarian, the server looked quite perplexed at this, but didn't say anything. So food arrived and I was surprised to see one piece of toast (not sourdough as the menu suggests) with a very thin smear of avacardo that barely covered it but my friends full English breakfast was a huge portion of everything meat and to my astonishment a healthy portion of avocado lurking on the side of his plate! What the hell guys?!

The cafe was clean tidy and inviting. We found our table quickly and got our menus. It was hard to talk in there as it was so noisy. The staff don’t know their table numbers and think it’s more of a holiday camp than a business. As I was trying to order at the counter the staff where to busy in their own conversations.

The staff are very friendly. The owner's lovely dog often hangs around, and other dogs are welcome too.

Have been here a few times now and tried a different meal every time, all of which have been very tasty. The veggie breakfast and the dirty fries in particular have been great. The drinks are well made. I really like the iced mocha and hubby loves their flat white. Staff are always very friendly and it's great that they have swings in the garden!

I go here regularly with my friend after swim training as they open early. Great choice of breakfasts, the pancakes are the best I have had. Coffee is lovely. We have also been for lunch quite a few times and again all is lovely. The only downside about lunch time is occasionally having to wait for somewhere to sit, as it’s such a popular place. Highly recommend Waylands, the best pancakes and coffee anywhere!!

We decided on breakfast as the menu looked great and from pictures on IG. It didn't disappoint! Very tasty and a good portion size too. The only let down was the coffee. Only one size available which was too small for us, and lukewarm. But we will definitely be back!

I visited Wayland’s Yard in Forgate St. with my partner and enjoyed the Nutella, banana and honey pancakes and halloumi fries (why not combine them?!). The fries worked really well with the hot sriracha sauce!

Two of us had brunch here and were very impressed. We both had the “Fry Up” cooked breakfast. There is no doubting the quality of the ingredients including the coffee which was excellent if a little on the small side. Their home made smokey, spicy beans are definitely worth a try. We’ll be going back to try other items from the menu.

Today we took our residents to the Portobello for lunch. Tammy really looked after us and made the whole experience stress free and enjoyable. Food was good, hot & reasonably priced. Great lunchtime experience we will be back.

Really great service here. Food was nice and hot. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Their toilets are very good. The only thing missing is the Christmas feel. The decorations are poor. Not a lot of thought gone into them at all. But I'm guessing that's a head office call.

Got there a bit later than usual but still happily served with a super healthy breakfast- thank you for being so obliging, cheers!

Terrible service, wont hurry back. Ordered food 20 minutes later had to go back up to ask how long it would be to be told they had forgotten about my order. Would have understood if it was busy, but I was the only one in there

We always have a lovely experience here. Good food, good atmosphere and very dog friendly. Our waitress, Jane, was very nice and helpful.
