Always great being in Gary's plaice, brilliant staff, Gary is always cheerful and helpful, shame he us giving up the fish n chip business, hope the new owners are just as good whoever it is.

Great chip shop, great chips, great fish cakes, great fillet chicken burger. Very friendly service. I would highly recommend you eat here. Parking on the high street is okay in the evening, during the day you have to walk a couple of minutes but its no big deal.

Great little chip shop. Not the best value in town, but definitely worth a visit. Staff are chatty with their regulars, I'm not a regular, so I instantly felt like an outsider, especially as I was being talked past to the customer behind me. I had sausage and chips, very nice.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that when I unwrapped my fish and chips there was a lot of oil on the paper. Shame as the fish was lovely as was the batter.

Always a brilliant service and great food

After a long journey of 5 hours and 4 starving kids we decided on fish and chips and this was the closest to where we were staying and had good reviews. Unfortunately we turned up just as they were closing so couldn’t have the large cod that we wanted but instead ordered 6 medium which were plenty! The staff were welcoming and friendly and when we got home to feed everyone their food an extra piece of fish had been put in and an array of sauces also. We struggled to eat all of the food as there was loads but it was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly and after our long journey it was so needed. We are only staying up here for a week but have already decided on our last night we will have fish and chips again from here!

Had fish and chips here not the best but not the worst I have had. The fish was very tasty and nice good batter chips were very tasty and the price was very good all cooked to order and was very tasty. Would I call again yes I think so 8 out of 10 very nice Chippy.

During the Covid 19 lockdown we have a regular booking every Friday. Food is superb and Gary always delivers with a smile. He really has done his best during the lockdown to support the community. It would not be our Family Friday Night without Gary's Plaice. Excellent.

Would have given less but can't , fish over cooked and dry , chips undercooked all extremely greasy. THATS THE GOOD NEWS ! we live less than a minute from shop and were told we have to have FOOD delivered. 1 x fish 2 x battered sausage 1 x peas 1 x gravy. £3.50.. Delivery , In total =£17.70 IS THIS PROFITEERING ??. SHAME ON YOU !!!!!

Brilliant friendly staff wonderful fish and chips

I do use Gary's Place from time to time, I sometimes enjoy a chip butty at home. And over many years, I have chosen Gary's as my first choice. His food is hot and correctly cooked, its no surprise he is so busy. He is a great guy and an asset to Watton, as a business man, and as a caring individual. I experienced an elderly gentleman, falling in the high street, not far from Gary's shop. Although it was a busy tea time rush in his shop, he got his staff to cover, and attended to the gentleman, took him to his home, and served the very elderly gentleman and his brother there fish and chips, and stayed with them until an ambulance arrived, to attend to his injured leg. I know, as I followed Gary in the elderly gentleman car. As they say in Norfolk, Gary is a good ol boy.

Awesome chippy very friendly and helpful staff lovely fish and chips sit down lunch time special of small cod chips a side and a drink for £6 very good value.

I have been here several times for takeaway fish and chips, and have always been happy with it. Very friendly service from the staff here, and portions are generous. On one occasion I called in for two cod and chips, and to my surprise was given three cods because they were 'a bit small today'. I've never had that kind of customer care from other fish and chip shops.
