The curry leaf epworth in North Lincolnshire

I have had several takeaways and eaten in on several occasions. I can honestly say the food is always finished to a high standard and is varied and flavoursome. The staff at Curry leaf are always welcoming and clearlytake pride in there work. Keep up the great work Mat Cowley

I called in here for dinner this evening with my mum, and I think the fact that this place was full of happy patrons on a Monday evening in a rural town says it all. Beautifully furnished, exceptionally clean, extremely welcoming and well-dressed waiting staff, a wonderful menu with some well-devised specials, good quality ingredients, curries that aren’t swimming in grease (like in so many places), subtle attention paid to flavours and taste and even their own craft beer. I’ll highly recommend this place to all and would make an effort to visit the town and return again to eat here.

Great experience right from the off. Here we go... Door held open for us on arrival with genuine welcoming smile, promptly shown to our table with beautiful surroundings and decor, drinks order taken right away, promptly arriving, orders for food taken 4 or 5 minutes later, starters Prawn Puri and Tandoori King Prawns were outstanding, mains followed in perfect time, not rushed and not slow, even though it was busy. Quality of the mains was exceptional, we chose dishes described as very hot and guess what? They were very hot as described and portion sizes were good. Drinks were very nice, the Curry Leaf own beer was excellent. Toilets were immaculately clean too. The bill arrived promptly after request and we left again receiving thanks from the staff and the door held open for us once again. An excellent experience from start to finish, keep up the good work guys, what more could anyone ask for?😊

Simply the best Indian restaurant in the area. Great food, friendly service, and a classy atmosphere. The only slight downside was a very under-cooked paratha on the last takeaway.

A very beautiful venue, light, airy, great decor. The Welcome was genuine and we were seated promptly. The tables are quite close so as the restaurant got busier the noise levels were somewhat high. The table was round, seating 4 diners. When the main courses arrived with sides, rice's, breads it was really difficult to find a space for everything, waiters were juggling with bottles and drinks to find an adequate fit whilst the food was being served. Wine and water bottles were deposited on the floor to make space. SOLUTION: Wine Bucket or Square tables? Food: very good with no complaints. Drinks: slight mix up on Mango Lassi which wasn't really corrected or addressed. Prices: very reasonable.

We had a 5pm booking today for our first visit to the Curry Leaf. The restaurant, staff, service and food faultless :-) very nice food thankyou ! Pretty sure we'll be back again at some point. Happy Eid guys

Second visit and thoroughly impressed with everything! The food is wonderful, the service fabulous, and the atmosphere is great. We were able to sit for 3 hours with our friends without ever feeling rushed. Will definitely make this a regular!

As great fans of the Khyber restaurant in Epworth, we decided to give their competitors a try at the Curry Leaf. Glad we did, fantastic food and service in a lovely modern restaurant. Epworth has 2 fantastic Indian restaurants! I recommend trying either or both.

Came for a mela with friends on Bank Holiday Sunday as usual the service was amazing, The food was amazing and i cant wait to come back.

We have travelled from London to Epworth to visit friends. Visited Curry Leaf tonight and can honestly say this was one of the best Indian meals I have had in a long time. The food was well cooked and was delicious. The staff were so welcoming, attentive and friendly. I can't wait for our next visit as we well definitely be coming back for another meal!

Atmosphere was lovely especially for a Wednesday night - extremely busy so I do recommend booking. I had a salmon shashlik dish, Hubby had Akbori lamb. Friends had their usual! Fabulous indian restaurant.

Last night we went to the Curry Leaf Epworth. What a great night - the atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing with lots of people all happily out to enjoy themselves, and a warm welcome from all the staff! We don’t vary a lot in our menu choices, so we picked poppadoms and pickles to start, followed by chicken tikka, king prawn on puree, and onion bhajis. Main courses were chicken shashlik, chicken bhuna, butter chicken and badami chicken (with almonds). We paid around £50 per person including pre dinner drinks, wine with the meal and coffee afterwards. Thank you Omar and all your lovely staff, we had a wonderful evening xx

Called in on Wednesday night. They were packed out (Sign of good food). The staff were great and although busy we were served quickly and attentively. We had a great meal. I had Lamb Bhuna and my wife had Chicken Madras. The food was really good. The wine and beer were good. Great night we will be returning.

Excellent venue very upmarket place. A very comfortable place modern & quite plush with an especially smart & helpful staff ordering was very efficient & simple The meals were all very nice & exactly described, it was very very busy but this did not alter the level of service All told a very nice evening

We arrived at 18:35 for 19:00 booking, had a drink at the bar and then was taken to our table, all was good, popadoms and pickles were good and service was, then we had our staters which were good, and then it all went down hill from there, we had an half an hour wait before we got our main course and had to ask for it, when it arrived it was warm, we were also waiting for drinks too, which we gave up on. Definitely won’t go back there.

What great service and the food had so much flavour that it was hard not to finish the dish even though you should have. Excellent all round.

What a fantastic dining experience, the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive, the new decor is very tasteful too. One of the best dining experiences in a long time and at a very reasonable price, will definitely use again.

We booked our Christmas staff party here for 8 people . All in all an enjoyable evening was had by all , service is good and the restaurant is clean . However if you want truly authentic Indian cuisine then this is probably not the place to go , the food is average at best . However it depends what you want and how you like your curry , for me it was main stream , nothing exceptional and a little disappointing. We were expecting so much more as the restaurant has recently re opened after a fire closed it a few years ago . We used to go in prior to the fire and thought the food was better . When the bill came , we raised a question regarding how we could be charged for 8 pickle trays when they only served 2 , we were told they charged per person and not per portion served . I was surprised by this but then to be charged for mint sauce on top, left a bitter taste when it came to pay the bill.I know restaurants are struggling in the current climate , but this just felt like it was any excuse to charge more money . We questioned the bill but was told to take it up with the owner .I just paid it in the end but I doubt we will return .

Popped in on Sunday evening as a last minute decision to eat out and we were so pleased we did. Excellent food, good atmosphere and attentive service.

Fantastic venue,fantastic staff and outstanding meals! We visited the curry leaf for my wife’s birthday and the curry leaf experience really made it a special day. We reserved the VIP room upstairs for a bit more of a treat. All the meals were incredible. Thank you to everyone who works there especially Omar,Skips and Immy.

Have been here prior to the fire and was very much excited to be able to return as a family group. Sadly, the new Curry Leaf just didn't hit the heights of the old one. Little things here and there, starters were dry and needed a sauce, which we asked for and were given, but a bit late; some of the main courses and sides were not very warm - hardly surprising after a very long wait. Enjoyed the drinks, service was good, naan bread very good, my main course was lovely but not excellent as we had hoped.

We were here for opening night and the food and service were excellent, especially for a first opening. We returned last night to find that the food was presented beautifully and was absolutely delicious. The staff and service are outstanding. You can't go wrong here.

First time here and not long opened. Staff very friendly and made my grandson very welcome and given a good table early doors. Curry very nice but rice was very oily which spoiled it for me, pickle tray very good and beer nice 👍🏽

Had a fantastic evening at Curry Leaf tonight. It was very busy when we arrived but service all night was great with friendly and helpful staff. The food was all delicious and I love the wide range of choice for specials that are out of the ordinary. Good portion sizes and good price as well.

We visited as a couple just a few weeks after visiting with friends, it was so good! The newly renovated restaurant looks wonderful; modern, stylish and warm, lovely design touches everywhere. The menu is plentiful but not overwhelmingly so, the service was incredibly friendly, attentive (but not too much) and welcoming. Our food was superb; tasty, hot, fresh and very generously portioned, so well worth the money. Drinks were served quickly and with a smile. Thank you for a lovely evening, Lisa and I will be back soon and regularly from now on!

Finally got a table. You know a place is good when it is fully booked for the first 3 weeks and longer for weekends. First time with the family. Decor was wonderful to see. We enjoyed taking selfies with the angel/fairy wings. When we informed the server that the fussy eater does not like spicy food, he ensured the green chillies were left out of the dish, we were very grateful for that! All staff were so attentive, even though they were getting busy, we never felt forgotten or inconsequential. It was great being back, and we will be back in the near future. It felt like no request was too much trouble for them. It still is one of my favourite restaurants, staff are just so nice, friendly and smiling the entire time we were there. Really liked trying the dessert menu, we will definitely be partaking in the desserts next time as well. Certainly 5* service. Food is a bit pricey but quality so as a treat, we can accept the cost. Everything has risen in price and inflation wise, I believe it is in line x..

Visited for my daughters birthday. They lost the booking for a start but squeezed us in. The waiters were a bit too keen, with one looking every minute.

A long awaited return to the Curry Leaf last night for a meal with friends. Decoration and ambience were lovely. Staff were attentive and Omar was gracious in helping us celebrate our friend’s retirement with a complimentary drink for all four of us. The food was lovely. Garlic mushrooms on puri, onion bhaji and chicken pakora were all excellent starters. Chicken Korai was very tasty as a main and serving Blyton Ice cream as one of the deserts is only ever a good thing. Will definitely be returning!

Waiting staff need to smile & be honest about food delays.Kitchen staff SLOW. Tarka Dall watery & poppadoms not fresh n crispy.Took 40mins to get Starters. Rstnt was half full.Asked for a certain table but was told that it was booked but 1 hour later a couple without a rsvn was allowed to sit there.Unfair.Overall,food was OK.We will go there again to see if improvements have been made.

I had a takeaway the other night and was impressed enough to want to book a table next time I'm visiting the area. The staff were attentive, the place was clean and had great decor and atmosphere. The food was great, I'm looking forward to finding my favourites as I explore the menu.

I've eaten from curry houses all over the UK. In my humble opinion, this is the best. I have known Nunu - the chef for over 20 years, Omar the manager - slightly longer. Put these two in a brand new high-class restaurant - which it is, and it is a great combination. Everyone has been waiting for it to open. We went on Friday 1 September, 2023. We would have been there a week earlier on its opening but we were out of the UK. The meal. Six poppadum's, pickle tray plus extra onion salad - Meat Samosas, Onion Bhajis and spiced up Tiger Prawns - Chicken Balti Vindaloo and Chicken Maharaja Vindaloo - Garlic Nan and Boiled Rice. The Samosa's aren't the mass processed (plastic) ones you get at your general curry house - these are made from scratch by Nunu. They are very similar to those that the Gulshan Balti House / and Chamans (same owner) on The Wicker in Sheffield used to serve back in the day. The Tiger Prawns were amazing. And if you like spicy, Nuno will beef them up for you as with both our main meals. Chicken Balti and the Chicken Maharaja were both beefed up to a Vindaloo - however, it wasn't stupidly hot, more spicy. The Maharaja is Nunu's dish. It is a custom job that has followed him around for 20 years. I had to have one as I'd not had it in years. The chicken pieces - there were a lot of them, were really tender and not the hard or undercooked rubbish you get from your town/city centre curry houses or takeaways. The beer is Cobra. Omar also has a Craft Beer on tap, which is quite malty and sort of Brewdog/IPA Punky-ish. We are back on Monday 4 September and will start to go through the menu. Well done Omar and Nunu.

Visited twice now, datenight once and in a small group once. Both times meals were exceptional as was the service from the staff. Have recommended to many people You have to remember the place at this time has only been re opened 2 weeks so staff and systems are all new so there will be mistakes but measure them on how they deal with it not the mistake in the first place. Work your way round the menu is my recommendation as there are some great specials.

Waited over 2 hours for a meal that never came. Sent 10 different staff members because none of them wanted to deal with us and one of them had the nerve to flirt with my mum whilst trying to negotiate a fair bill. Someone that did get to eat said it wasnt worth the wait, go to the kyber instead!

Feeling valued and cared for. Attention to detail and the passion shines throughout. The quality of the food and the balance of spices were a feast to the pallet!

Excellent food and staff was fantastic with getting everything correct. Even went out there way to get us a table when it was fully booked.

Have used them for two takeaways since re-opening (they are booked) and both have been excellent. Now one of our regular haunts.

Food excellent! 5 🌟 the tastiest curry we’ve had in a long time! Stunning meals, right down to the pickle tray - secret recipe red pickle, which was delicious. Everything fresh, not oily in the slightest, naan breads 10/10! Curries not as spicy as expected, but full of flavour. Service was fantastic, even for the opening week, a lovely warm welcome, and staff pulling out all the stops. (Well done everyone!) We would highly recommend a visit to Curry Leaf, Epworth, you will not be disappointed! P.S. They even offer Blyton ice cream!

Went here on the last night of the 'Eat Out To Help Out' scheme. All of our party had soft drinks but it was only when getting the bill that it was pointed out that soft drinks weren't included in the 50% off scheme - even though they should have been. There was no mention of this on the website, facebook page, in the menu or anywhere else in the restaurant. To me, it was a con. Soft drinks should have been included in the discount scheme. It's not for individual outlets to go picking and choosing what they want the scheme to cover and what they don't. You're either in it or you're not. At the very least, notice that they weren't included should have been clearly publicised to avoid any confusion.

Brilliant! Always good fresh food. Service fast this time too. Normally, it takes ages to get your mains, which is mitigated by the fact, it is worth waiting for! One of my favourite Asian restaurants in York and North Lincs.

The Curry Leaf Restaurant is probably the best one I've been to when I went on 28th July. It was absolutely amazing, especially as it was for my birthday meal! The staff were very welcoming & friendly & unlike other curries, I've had, it was no way too heavy when I'd finished it & was cooked to perfection! I will definitely be back again!😋

Really classy atmosphere, all ages welcome, staff are friendly and attentive and the FOOD IS DELICIOUS! As a vegetarian who has a nut allergy I was apprehensive about trying the food there but I needn't have worried. Some meat options can be swapped for veggie ones and the wait for food is never that long.ive been back many times with large groups and the service is just second to none. Highly recommend, the best Indian in the isle let alone Epworth!
