The best restaurants in England

Packed with flavour, high quality and affordable. Wasn't too sure at first about trying here, but was glad I did, it is similar to subway in the sense of it is create your own, but in every way it is better. The food is packed with flavour, it is filling, the options look appetising, and are! And best of all, feel full after! 100% recommend here if you're after a filling quick meal that doesn't make you feel guilty for eating it.

Visited on 19th Dec for a christmas lunch with friends. We were a party of eight. We had to order our choice of food in advance from the menu provided. As soon as we arrived we were shown to our table and ordered our drinks. Our starters arrived soon after by friendly staff. All finished our main meal was delivered with vegetables and a tureen of gravy.. After dessert coffee and tea were supplied along with chocolate mints. Wonderful meal...lovely staff. Big thanks to all not forgetting the chefs who cooked a delicious meal. Will return soon.

We went for the two for one meal on the day we visited. I love fish and chips so ordered the meal. The fish meal was the same price on the half price menu as on the main menu (£18.95). When the meal was served, the fish was only half the size and I asked the server why it was so small, he replied that the cook had been told to serve a small fish on the two for one menu.

Went here last night to celebrate mine and my partner’s anniversary. I booked a few weeks prior for 7:15pm but they changed the booking for 7pm the day before. Luckily I noticed on the email and asked if it could be changed back to which they got a bit funny about on the phone. I know it was only 15mins but I can see in other reviews this has happened before! They changed it by a few hours so please make sure you check this! The guy behind the bar wasn’t that friendly and didn’t show us to our table. We waited 15 minutes and still didn’t get a menu, saw another couple come in after us and got a menu straight away. I asked if I could have one and got snapped at a few times to wait a minute. The waiters weren’t that friendly and mixed up some orders. But the the food is absolutely amazing! If it wasn’t for that, we wouldn’t have had a nice time coming here. When we went to pay the man behind the till suddenly changed his attitude by acting very friendly (guessing for a tip) but due to the service from him we didn’t give him one. If we could of just tripped the chefs we would of. I hope the mannerism of the waiters towards their paying customers change as it wasn’t a very nice experience especially when our bill nearly came to £100.

We were a table of 6, our waitress was very attentive and the food very tasty. Everything arrived together and we had a lovely evening.

Not been here for quite a few years, car park empty on a Friday lunch so weren’t sure what to expect. Greeted by a very pleasant young man who remained attentive throughout our visit. Food 2 for 1 with a good choice. We had the scampi and fish and chips. Scampi was plentiful, fish was fresh and not over cooked. Chips were lovely, home made and well cooked. We will definitely return, have already recommended friends give it a try and hope it becomes as busy as it used to be.

Lovely pub, friendly staff and the food was fantastic, me and my partner went there for my birthday, so if your in the area or staying at otter falls you must visit the Sidmouth arms

I have no words but praise for Brigits Bakery. Last Sunday me and my family went on the Peppa Pig afternoon tea bus, and it was very well organised. The food was amazing, drinks all the time, Matt was really good and integrated alot with children. Me and my husband had fun as much as my daughter. Worth every money..

Absolutely sensational sunday lunch, the starters were excellent and the main of beef was incredible- the ingredients were spot on and the taste was amazing- the best main weve tasted, the desserts were also superb with a lovely choice to suit all- thank you to all the staff who were friendly, easy going and professional.

We travelled 2000 miles just to have a fabulous meal at this brilliant venue. Visiting our wonderful friends in Spalding we went to this venue and what a divine meal we all had. Superb house specialities along with excellent friendly service. Would absolutely visit again and enjoy some of the other dishes. Would highly recommend the onion bahjee. 10 stars 🌟
