Very beautiful place We loved it beef stifado

Food was really tasty and the staff were really nice however I come home to food poisoning and was up all night with crippling stomach pains so were 2 other members of our party. Unfortunately I can't speak for what went wrong in the kitchen as it is a lovely looking place the food was tasty like I said and the people were friendly so really disappointing to go home with such an awful weekend recovery from the aftermath.

We have been to Daisy Bar a handful of times now and thoroughly enjoy ourselves every time we go. The food is always delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is lovely including the fab music and gorgeous decor. A special thank you to Freddie who is always so accommodating to us.

Lovely people, lovely food, lovely place. Definitely a place that will become a favourite.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch, couldn't fault it. Just a bit quiet upstairs but couldn't help that. Will come again.

Well worth booking this place and giving it a try, you will be surprised by the place. Excellent service and it has a very good ambience about it, we sat upstairs and the service and food choice were fantastic, yes you have to pay cash and hopefully this will be sorted, I guarantee you will not be disappointed, this restaurant is has good if not better than any of the top restaurants in the area and we have some good ones. I booked here for my birthday celebrations and we had a fantastic time here! I couldn’t have wished for better! 19 of us were accommodated. No pre ordering which was incredible. First time - wanted to try the restaurant for ages. Firstly - do not accept card payments. This dampened the experience as we were limited on what we could have as we only had a bit of cash not £200 if we did 3 courses. It was a special celebration too. They Offered only the main menu, no set menu. Maybe this was because it was a weekend. Drinks are very expensive - £5 for a large soft drink. Our party ordered mains only - due to the price which I would compare with Leeds city centre prices. When the amounts of food on different dishes varies, and the more expensive dish has less food on the plate - it makes you wonder - when they accept cash only. However, The food was delicious and freshly made, the staff were all lovely, attentive and friendly. I would go again, but only when there is a special offer menu available.

Came last night with family for my birthday. I wanted Carbonara the traditional way, the chef did attempt it but failed miserably haha. I didn't really want anything else and the owner came up with a carbonara he personally made for me. It was close to traditional but still not right, it was still tasty but please, NO CORIANDER haha. The owner couldnt do enough for us. He made the effort and I couldn't ask for more from him. My family's food looked nice and my calamari starter was good and not chewy, they could have been drained abit more but overall it was nice. I'll come back and try other things on the menu when I'm not feeling picky haha. Thankyou ma friend.

This was our first visit to this little gem of a restaurant. The food was amazingly good, portions generous and beautifully cooked by a new chef. We were told that the chef had worked with Jamie Oliver and his skills show the excellent training. We chose from the special menu, two courses for £17.95. Highly recommended.

Our first visit whilst visiting Shipley. The food was amazingly good. Generous sized portions. We chose from the two course special for £17.95 each and really enjoyed our meal. Mussels and Whitebait for starters and then chicken in tomato sauce and chicken stroganoff. We were told that the chef is new and he had worked with Jamie Oliver for two years. First time here. We both realy enjoyed our food. Very tasty. The restaurant looks lovely inside. Friendly service. The reason for not giving 5 stars is as as follows. 1. Cash only 🤔. There is a cash machine at the opposite side of the road (£1.99 charge) The proprietor kindly gave me a latte free of charge to compensate for the charge 😊. I cannot remember the last time I went somewhere that was cash only. Hopefully they will except card payments in the not to distant future 🤞. Recommended but have enough cash with you.

Ordered a meatball dish for £9 and it was 3 tiny disgusting little manky meatballs in a tomato sauce that resembled a tin of tomato soup. It also didn’t come with the bread as per the menu. Terrible value for money. So disappointed. 🙄.

I've driven past here loads of times and always wanted to try it. On Friday my husband and I drove to a Greek restaurant we usually go to in Shipley but it was closed so it was a great opportunity to try here, just up the road. Unfortunately the website wasn't working but we found a menu on Google images. We rang once outside as we were dressed casually; we were welcomed. The restaurant is really nicely decorated, warm and comfy. The toilet was immaculate. The menu was slightly different to the one we found online but there was still plenty to choose from with an additional specials menu. We ate gamberoni piccante and halloumi as starters, we both had surf and turf as a mean. The food was delicious but especially the sirloin which was phenomenal. It was juicy and succulent and really didn't need the side sauce as it was so good on it's own. I rarely finish a steak as I get bored of it but I ate every last bit of this. It's most probably the best steak I've ever eaten and I've had a few. The staff were friendly and especially the ?owner? who came over to check on us and speak to us a few times. Thanks for a wonderful welcome and meal. I'm already excited to return for my next steak and have recommended to others

Great evening, nothing is too much trouble

I was recommended the beef stroganoff on the menu, and as it was one of my personal favourites from many years ago, thought I would give it a go. Whilst it was tasty dish, it was over seasoned and almost tasted like pepper sauce instead. The flavour was overpowering but maybe it’s adjusted to meet local taste. The service however was impeccable and the staff very very friendly. I wish them all well.

This is a great little hidden gem in Thackley. Beautiful food, we had Calzone Pizza and honestly it was the best pizza I’ve had in years. Wonderful staff, great service and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Can’t praise it enough. Alfredo and the whole team are doing a fantastic job. Give them a try it’s really great.

We had a lovely evening and the service was great. The food was spot on and really nicely presented too. It was a really relaxed and pleasant atmosphere with music playing in the back ground. We will be back soon and will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

Amazing food and service, I didn't have to wait very long compared to other restaurants. Even th ough it's a small restaurant, they serve a 3 course meal to enjoy with friends and family. Very recommended place to have an evening out 😄

The quality & freshness of the food couldn’t be beaten. Staff were attentive but not pushy! Really helpful with my food allergies, felt comfortable. We tried the specials menu choosing the salmon & sea bass would highly recommend.

The food is good we have been quite a lot but today found it very greasy

So I’ve been here 3 times, not by my choice. but every time I’ve been the atmosphere has been uncomfortable, I feel like I’m constantly being watched (coz you are) you’re asked very quickly what you want to order/drink without even having a chance to look at menus for long. Good really isn’t great. It’s very fast a rushed service. But the worst thing last time I went, I got a dessert instead of starter, I ate 2 bites of a cheesecake and it was inedible flavoured sponge 🤢 my cousins dessert (chocolate gato thing) was also horrible. They came to ask us at the end of everything was ok and we both said the desserts were inedible, their response was ‘aw sorry to hear that’ then walked away and came back with the bill, nothing discounted at all. We also ordered 2 drinks each. Really rubbish customer service, for this reason alone I will never return here.

Just rang on the off chance to get a table on a Saturday evening, wasn't sure If was booking only. They did fit us in and so glad they did, the food was amazing and great portions sizes, I struggled to finish my dessert I was that full. We had been out all day and wasn't exactly dressed for an evening meal out in a lovely restaurant but the staff was still very welcoming towards us. Will definitely return again.

Very disappointed with the service. Called more than a week before to book a birthday meal for my boyfriend and his family. Was told they only take cash and if I could come at 6.30 rather than 7 that I asked for and spoke to a woman. When we turned up for our booking, they had no reservation made at all. Not even for the wrong time or day - just not done. When speaking with the two men who were working there, they were very apologetic and seemed genuinely embarrassed about it. The woman who came forward said that she makes all the bookings and was trying to imply that it was somehow my fault as she ‘always writes everyone down’ - clearly not! It wasn’t until I actually showed her my call list and she saw that a call has been made and the duration of the call, she then said these mistakes happen and said we could go to another restaurant further down the road, that is their sister restaurant and get a table there. We all went as we had no choice at the last minute and the people and at Turkuaz Restaurant was brilliant! One of the staff from daisy bar actually turned up later and apologised again. He was very nice and handled things professionally. I do understands mistakes can happen, and the male staff were good about it, but the woman was quite rude. If she had just apologised from the start instead of acting like it was my fault it would have helped. Not even a offer of a discount or a complimentary shot considering the inconvenience for all 7 of us to travel elsewhere. Had heard good things about this restaurant and was looking forward to going, but will not go there again, as that was very off putting for all of us.

This was my first visit to the daisy bar and I was not disappointed. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming feel, with a positive ambiance. The food was cooked fresh and was delicious. All of the staff were friendly, accommodating in every way. I would definitely recommend the daisy bar and make sure you book as it gets very busy. What a great find this resteraunt was , Italian at it's best , the lamb chops was the best ever and fell of the bone. Not the cheapest place when you add wine but well worth a visit for that special occasion , staff fabulous .

Anyway first time we have visited the Daisy Bar last night and we live 5mins away. What a shock - great place! the food was amazing, the staff super friendly - had a bottle of wine which was very nice, x2 pizzas home made, great size and well worth the price, then to finish the wife had Choc fudge cake and ice cream and I had the mix ice cream with fruit all great portions .. to finish off a baileys coffee - I could hardly walk out of the place I was so stuffed!! If you have have been like me and just walked or drove past, don't. Pop in its a great place and we will defo be back :)
