Lovely place for a drink, dog friendly & kind staff.

Been here a few times. It's a very ordinary typical pub. In need of a good refurbishment. I've had a meal there once and it was very nice. Fair selection of drinks. I've never stayed there. They have entertainment on sometimes. I was there yesterday and there was a band on but it's quite a small pub so it was extremely loud, however it was very well patronised with a lot of young people. On the other occasions when I've been there it was extremely quiet.

Banging pint, good guiness, not too shabby prices. Pool is free on a Sunday so it's always a winner. Fantastic

Our first time here. Visited for something to eat and had an excellent meal. Lasagne was homemade and huge portion with salad and chips. Managed to eat it all. My husband had a chicken curry. It was delicious. Lovely young barmaid/ waitress on duty and was absolutely charming and made us very welcome.

Great place, lovely relaxed atmosphere, Jackie a great manager..goes above and beyond for customers and guests! Trevor owner is the same, who cooks fantastic food, well worth the visit.

A short walk away from Marske's village center, you're minutes from the co-op for food, the pharmacy for any needed meds, or an amazing bakery. The Zetland itself has great staff, a fun atmosphere and comfortable rooms. It was like being at home. Every one was absolutely fabulous, friendly, kind, and helpful. I could not have asked for a better vacation stay.

Great place to stay, rooms are always tidy and well presented. Staff are professional,the owners a top bloke and Jackie is a fantastic manager. Great for getting to wherever you need to be, close to the beach, close to Redcar and saltburn so it's great.

First pub visit since moving to Marske, and it won't be the last. They managed to fit us in for Sunday lunch, even though they were very busy. The food is lovely, plenty of choice, and the staff are fantastic. Great personalities, and nothing is too much trouble. Now I see why everyone likes this place. There's a reason it's called the Top House and it's not just location. Highly recommended. ⭐

My wife and I took a chance and called into the Zetland for our Sunday lunch. We were made very welcome indeed, our little dog was given a comfortable soft mat to lay on next to a bowl of fresh water right next to us. The meal was no nonsense good tasting food at a reasonable price which was wholesome and filling. Just try it, I think you'll like it and like us you'll probably plan to return in the future.

Old family pub if ours. We are the Welsh family and my grandad would sit in this pub. I've always wanted to sit at the seat he did and its a cozy lovely place. Finally got to do it. Fantastic Sunday roast too. Thank you for the hospitality guys. Matt

Visited as a family. I had cod, my wife had scampi and my son had a Parma. Great service, fabulous food and a decent pint too. Would recommend.

Good to see the old style, non chain, pub with wood floors and friendly atmosphere. Had a sandwich which was very tasty and fresh. Right near the train station and high street. Lost a star for tight car park.

Nice response from staff, top of the village good for station to Redcar and Darlington.

Went along with 2 ladies and had a great Sunday lunch. I must add that the welcome and service was fantastic. The John smiths brilliant what more can I say. Hope to be back very shortly

It's a proper pub with Pool, darts and possibly the world's slowest juke box. The staff were all great. Accommodation is basic. I really mean no frills....at all. It's a clean bed with communal bathroom. I had the ensuite but you need to hold the shower attachment over your head.....the chocolate orange hand soap is a nice touch bit as didn't bring shower gel, I spent the evening smelling like a Jaffa cake.

Enjoyed a lovely family birthday meal. Would recommend.

Just had Sunday lunch here at it was fabulous we couldn't fault a thing. The service was also impeccable and extremely friendly we all loved it.
