Smokin' Joe's Guisborough in Redcar and Cleveland

The food was very late because of offers it seems (but staff were apologetic). The food was ok, packaged hot. Wish could say better about food, but hope chef not insulted as have seen reviews taken to heart and Smokin Joes does offer quality food.

Arrived earlier than expected, friendly delivery, excellent packaging, food was hot and so delicious as always, loved the wet wipes for our sticky fingers.

Don't mind waiting that bit longer when the food is this nice! Awesome as always 🥰👌

Wow the food tonight was delicious, it was hot and so tasty this is my 3rd time getting a delivery and certainly haven’t been disappointed.

Wouldn't order again due to having to ring twice to see where the order was over an hour the original time, have ate in the restaurant plenty of times so is a shame as I wouldn't go back now. Burger bun was soggy by the time it got there

Really delicious food. Fair portion sizes and nicely packed up. My Husband said 'Best burger he's ever had'.

Everything perfect. Trapstar burger, hot dog, delivery time and chips. Plus all the meals had the right salt amount, it wasn't noticeable at all this time. ty

The food is always excellent, the burgers , having tried many on the menu, are fabulous. Just order earlier than you normally would as they can run a little late…. But honestly worth it. Food arrives hot and really well packaged. My family love it.

Superb food. To anyone reading this: support your local businesses. This sort of quality will not be found in a franchise takeaway or a local chain pub.

Tried chicken wings first time, delicious, and the wraps were perfect as usual too. Only downside was fries werent up to usual standards from here and food had more salt than used by Cleveland Council on the roads. Came a bit late again too.

Overall, I really enjoyed the take away meal we had from here, but was a little disappointed that all of the chicken in the burgers seemed overcooked as it was dry and chewy... Still would return again as the choice is amazing, please could you just take more care in the cooking of your fried chicken for next time. I have tried many burger places over the years and this is close to the best, give it a try if you haven't already.

Owner loves to bully bad reviews. Can't take any criticism for his poor restaurant and overall poor service. Seen other reviews and the owner cannot handle when there's genuine criticism. Food was serviceable but the owners bad attitude will prevent me from visiting ever again.

Rude owner , can’t take criticism for his food. Thinks it’s all perfect when the smash n dash burger was really bad. Also 0.40 charge on foodhub , decided to add a pound for cash and not updating the receipt , let the customer know prior to ordering as you should , poor food poor service and waiting in the shop ages to be served , get a bell or something. I shouldn’t have to try to get your staffs attention from the kitchen. When my food was clearly sat there and getting cold.

The pulled pork tray was delicious, and hot on a cold evening. Requested no cheese in wrap, and they did this before - but not this time. Also was told to mention by them in my last review on here that they forgot the house sauces last time - I did - not sure why as no free sauce at all. Still worse things have happened than I presume not reading order notes.

First time ordering collected friendly staff ordered the pure filth wrap for hubby and I had the crouching tiger hidden wrap was delicious n tasty lovely n hot well wrapped n the, seasoned fries were well tasty just managed to eat it all so filling well recommended n value for money will be reordering soon thank you for a lovely tea

Ordered a few times from here and food is always good. Chips not so well seasoned this time.

Unfortunately the food took 2 hours to arrive. And when it did, 4 out of 7 items were missing. The 3 meals we did get, I was told, were lovely. The delivery guy went off to sort it out, but after another hour I called and was told it'd still be at least another 20 minutes after it's been cooked. Unfortunately the rest of us went hungry. I have received a voucher through Just Eat to cover the cost of the missing items only. I had such high hopes.

Tried 3 different Wraps and we loved all of them. They were massive, hot and very tasty. My wife said was as good as the Border Wrap from Chiquito's. Lots of delicious fries too, but were we meant to get a house sauce for dipping? no complaints tho

Ordered two wraps tonight, came on time and hot. I had the Crouching tiger hidden wrap hands down one of if not the best wraps I’ve had!! Other wrap was for my daughter she had the pure filth and said it was amazing. Definitely recommend! Thank you

Ordered ribs which they had to change for a burger and the total order cost £28 this was not worth what I paid. First time and last time ordering. also I don't know if their portion sizes are bigger on location but what I got in the boxes were smaller than a meal deal from mcdonalds and atleast mcdonalds is half the price I paid for these.

I’ve ordered from here multiple times before and it’s always been amazing.However this time we had pre ordered earlier in the day, the order was 30 minutes later than the latest time indicated.When it arrived the food was lukewarm which was obviously disappointing.We had also ordered x2 desserts and only one came, to be fair the delivery driver did give the cash back for one of the desserts. However that doesn’t mitigate for only one dessert between two and we had pre-ordered earlier in the day.

We had the texmex wraps and some chicken wings. Absolutely delicious! the house sauce is something else, wow. the food was piping hot. 10/10

1st time ordering. Food was really nice although would probably only order when offers on as smash burger wasnt massive, i e usa style. It took a few minutes to eat and wouldnt have been worth a tenner. chips tasty but very very salty. the special sauce with meals was lovely as was chicken, and hot dog perfect 👌

I’ve ordered twice from smokin joes. A people’s hotbox and the loaded fries hotbox. Both arrived hot and in great time. The quality is amazing. It really is my favourite takeaway. It is restaurant quality food delivered to your door!

Food was excellent. Mac and cheese was maybe a little too cheesy and the burger and chips were salty which I believe was appropriate considering the Asian style I ordered… that burger was delicious and perfectly cooked chicken. The hot dog was epic. No competition.

The app is saying delivering your order but actually the food had not left the kitchen! This give a false impression about delivery times. Waited just over 30 minutes

food is fantastic as always but delivery time was mental. ordered at 20 past 7 and was due to arrive at the latest by 5 past 9. Called up at 25 past 9 and was told to call back in 20 if it hadn't arrived - called back and was told it should be 10 mins but just wanted to go to bed. called and cancelled but they called back a couple of mins later and said the driver had not set off when they said he had and it would be 10 more mins. got the food 15 mins later. expect to wait longer than quoted

The food from here is always unbelievable and the portion sizes are always top notch. If you come here expect to be going home with a doggy bag full of left overs. The staff are amazing and super friendly. I highly recommend this place

Ording in store is good and the service I is as expected bit if your ordering on the app and call them to double check ingredients or allergies and intolerances they can be a bit short on the phone and not listen I'd be careful If I can't have mustud because even if u put in a not saying no musterd they may still put it on anyway

Buns soggy, everything drowned in salt, that's all we could taste. There was zero difference in taste between it all, everything tasted the same, which was salt again. Also ordered a coke, that didn't turn up... 90% went in the bin, only the chicken wings were ok. Wont be back ever again

Just ordered a delivery, every time without fail its exactly what you'd expect and more. Portion sizes are great, quality is excellent and always delivered on time piping hot. Burgers come in a good box so don't go soggy like a lot of other places. Chips are well seasoned, crispy on outside and soft in middle and of course the burgers are excellent. Tried the Burg-Rings today, 10x better than a plain onion ring - will definitely be ordering these again. I would say that its on the pricier side for a takeaway meal BUT the quality is great, and I'd rather pay that little bit extra for the quality offered. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I felt i was harsh last time so decided to give smokey Joe's a couple more chances and I got to be honest I've changed my opinion, before it was all over salty imo , however I had 2 meals recently and both was actually really good especially considering the standards local these guys are definitely levels above anyone else locally, sometimes your wrong and I eat humble pie and am in doubt smokin Joe's is thr best takeaway in the area
