No idea about the food but their loud music audible clear across Saltburn seafront is a disgrace.

We went for Sunday lunch. The service was poor and very slow. The roast dinners were luke warm to say the least.

I can't say much about the food as we'd only had an iced coffee, but overall very nice and quick service and great outside view of the beach and Saltburn.

If you want a soggy bland overpriced English breakfast then this is the place to go. The weekend staff don’t care. We commented on how bad the food was and they just said ah sorry. We had barely touched it and not once did they ask if everything was ok. There was food missing from our plates too and the cutlery was filthy. We overheard someone saying never again as we walked in. I wish we had turned around ourselves now. I hope this saves someone a bad breakfast. Go to the spa hotel instead because theirs are fantastic.

I’m a foodie so it’s four stars, need to take this score seriously. But if you just want get some food, this is a good place. Tbh the beef is fair enough to become their classic dish worth to try!

Pre booked a table but our plans changed so ended up being early but the restaurant was very accommodating and it wasn’t a problem. We ordered drinks and a couple of different versions of the Parmo, the regular beef brisket and a large hot shot, both were excellent as was the service, definitely book in advance though as the restaurant was very busy.

Although this place is a great Steakhouse what really is amazing is the fish n chips! They were so good we had them everyday during our 3 day stay here! The wagu burger was very nice too. Staff were lovely! Will be back

Me and my friend went into this restaurant expecting great service and perfect steaks considering that they are a steakhouse yet we ordered medium steaks that took 40 minutes to arrive after our starters were cleared off the table. When said steaks arrived they were massively undercooked to the point that they couldn't be cut properly. They were rare. We ordered a jug of water that took 30 minutes to arrive alongside no explanation as to why it took so long. The waiters did what they could but the service from the kitchen and bar was obismale.

Lovely surroundings with sea view. Excellent service and atmosphere. The food was beautifully cooked and served. A good selection of cocktails and beers and a good wine list. A visit is a must.

Steak was tough and hard to chew/cut. Broccoli was over cooked. DJ blasting out music was overkill

Bottomless brunch with the girls. Fantastic afternoon. Amazing food. Drinks were great. Our server was Georgia who was lovely. She worked so hard. Always ensuring we had drinks and checked our food was okay. She was looking after other tables too and did not stop working. A credit to you. Great value for money too! Will definitely be back.

Had a very disappointing visit here recently on a Friday evening. The food was average at best for the hype I feel it recieves. One member of our party ordered the fillet steak which was very poor and had to ask for a steak knife which took 5 minutes to get anyone's attention. It was an extremely busy night so can understand that staff are stretched but we waited over half an hour for our drinks and around an hour for food. I ordered Stilton on my burger at an extra charge and it was barely a smear. I've worked in kitchen and resteraunt environments and know how hectic it can get but the noise from the kitchen was ridiculous and affected the atmosphere of the meal. Some of the waiting staff looked to be quite young and in training so we felt it was unfair to offload all our issues on to them, I hope an online review helps in some way instead.

Staff very slow and don't think it's worth the price

Went without booking on a very warm busy Friday in Saltburn. No problem getting a table (for 3). Sat inside, personal choice due to heat/sun, but still had a sea view, which was great. Staff were polite and efficient. Food was delivered promptly - we all had fish and chips. Very large portions and certainly couldn't manage the 2 thick slices of bread. Only negatives were the abundance of flies and a strange smell, which could have come from outside, but did affect the experience. Total bill just below £70 and paid the optional service charge, making it just over £70.

Very disappointing. Thought we were in for something really nice with how expensive it is. Had much nicer steaks at cheap family pubs.

First visit to Saltburn. Went to Tomahawk for breakfast. Didn’t disappoint- food and service were totally on point. For Gods sake, don’t miss the crispy potatoes

The dine in experience at this restaurant was absolutely great. Betty was a star host and she made sure everything was to the point. A must visit place while at Saltburn, could enjoy delicious meal with an amazing view ♥️

I actually do like the location.. ordered the sharing platter, steak wasn't particularly hot but it was tasty. Wine was excellent My dessert wasn't very nice and for £9.50 I just felt underwhelmed and the honeycomb pieces tasted burnt. Service was good though. Overall it was good but still felt it was expensive for what it actually was ie steak and chips.

We had the Steak sharing platter, we enjoyed the food and had fun sharing. Also our table had an amazing view out to sea.

Great place, think we were just the unlucky exception. We had a very load group of people on the table next to us and the 1 desert was very disappointing. Otherwise all good.

Not the best experience. Service from the staff was good but we got a dirty knife - still had parmo on it, despite there being a staff member solely there to clean the cutlery - and had something floating in one of our drinks. Ordered a parmo and chicken shawarma. Both ok but not really good. Not much flavour in the parmo. Was nice sat outside but I wouldn’t go again and would recommend others to give it a miss.

Great location. Customer service was good. Food was spot on too. Would highly recommend if you're in saltburn.

I'll start with the positives: Table had a good view Welcome host was friendly The sun was shining However...... £77 for a chateaubriand to share which was the smallest one I've ever seen and we've had a few. It arrived with a peppercorn sauce which we hadn't ordered (taken away again), missing a portion of fries and no plates to eat from which we had to call waitress over to point out?? 4 side dishes were part of the meal price. Onion rings crispy on outside but undercooked inside. One small portion of fries were delivered with the meal but the other one had to be asked for. It finally arrived after the steak had been eaten. Salad on menu states tomato onion and cucumber however, just a sorry half bowl of wet leaves arrived with the chateaubriand. Salad was taken away by the waitress and arrived back mid way through the meal with two quarters of tomato added!? Had to ask twice for glass of wine ordered Steak was tender and sauce nice but let's face it hard to get a tough rare fillet? Calamari starter was OK but didn't blow us away Only one of the ladies toilets had toilet paper in and two were blocked. Didn't smell great in there. Really disappointed. If you are going to charge premium prices you need to try harder! Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return even though you took the price of two side dishes off the bill (5% of what we spent at your establishment) Nah!

Visited for the first time, busy atmosphere, beautiful views and nice food. A lovely young man called James chatted with us at our table, he was very attentive, offered a lovely smile and very pleasant conversation. We noticed how busy he kept himself clearing tables, attending diners etc, absolute pleasure. Good luck for the future James and well done !

Ordered a coffee, wasabi peas, and an orange lemonade. Nice atmosphere, drinks, and snacks, though quite pricey.

We have been here around 6 times, the food is usually really good which is the reason why we return, however the service is not good at all. Every time we have visited we either have to ask for our drinks again as they forget or they forget about our food altogether which happened once when we came for breakfast! Our latest visit was for Sunday lunch, the meat & roast potato’s were cold. Yorkshire puddings over done & dry. Then wasn’t offered any dessert menus, sat there for over 20 minutes until we decided to get up & leave and pay our bill at the front. Our receipt then has that dreaded service charge on which you automatically feel awkward if you ask to remove it, however i cannot pay a service charge if we don’t receive good service. I think after our 6 visits we have finally realised the service just isn’t going to improve which is a shame because usually the food is very good.

It was ok. Food arrived warm ish. Very little flavour. Staff were lovely. Everything took a long time to arrive Expected more from the food for the prices.

Bar tender very polite, served my drink and said he would come and take my food order, didn’t see him again. I was passed several times by waiting on staff and not one bothered to stop and take my order, I finally got the attention of what appeared to be a more senior member of staff and placed my order. No issue with the amount of time it took to prepare my order but when it arrived I was first taken back by the discoloured chips very dark almost black, please don’t come back with the double cooked excuse. Second the £1.95 curry was stone cold, no butter for the bread and the fish was very overcooked, I brought my concerns to the staff and all they did was take the curry sauce back to the kitchen and returned it at the temperature of molten metal, very disappointed but blame myself for ordering fish and chips at £17.95 in a steak house, won’t be rushing back although I hear breakfast is half decent 🤷

Chips inedible as nearly burnt, and fish batter wasn’t pleasant. Inc £3.50 extra for peas, Fish and chips was over £20, very poor quality and value. Staff never asked if everything was ok, Saves them getting complaints!

Below average steak. The sides were cold, and the steak was bland. It was very expensive for such a poor standard of food. Will not be going back. Staff were friendly, and the view from the restaurant is brilliant. Such as shame the food doesn't match up to the service and the view.

Avoid at all costs. Overpriced for what we got. Food was more like a Wacky warehouse. Drinks are extortionate! Definitely not be back.

What a superb bit of luck to find this place after a walk down the beach from Marske. Food was excellent and so was the service. Added bonus that dogs are welcome, even inside. The gravy dipper sandwich was amazing! Will definitely be back soon.

This place is an absolute joke the starter came 10 minutes apart from each other .air con is there for a reason leaving the doors open defeats the purpose and as the for the flies because the doors open . It's not worth half the price I paid .

We love Tomahawk & we had visited Potto just last week before visiting Saltburn last night. The restaurant was busy (great ) fab views & wonderful weather. However we had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive & the same dish we had the week before was not in the same league as Potto’s the sides were a little cool & dry in texture & the meat was fattier than the week before & because you are paying over £78 for a sharing board, yesterday this did not meet (no pun intended) value for money or representative of a treat. The front of house team were lovely & apologetic but the wait for food & overall quality was not amended on the hefty bill.

Service and coffee 10/10. Breakfast really good 👍 dog friendly on a morning too

No fussed on the lamb(Sunday lunch)and the male toilet wasn't up a good standard,at these prices I'm not sure to rush back.oh and they added x2 madri beer to my bill that I had to get adjusted.

After visiting last night I'm changing my previous review from 3 to 5 stars . The staff and service were excellent,great table overlooking the sea front. And everyone was happy with the food. A massive improvement from my last visit and will be visiting again.

From the second we walked in, we felt very welcomed by Alan. He was extremely professional, kind and courtious. He offered to help lift the pram up the step which was kind and was very patient with us. Jane was very lovely, she had a nice little chat with us and was very attentive whilst we ordered, she noticed my 9month old daughter becoming "hangry" and unfortunately being lauder than normal. She approached us and offered to get some chips for my daughter whilst we waited for our meals. Honestly, this is the best table service I've ever received and it just made the experience so wholesome. We will definitely be returning as we live locally too. Your two servers, Alan and Jane weren't just professional, you can tell they are genuinely just great people. A true credit to the business and I'd be proud to have them work for me. Great job! Ofcourse the food was amazing. Not a single piece of chewy fat in that steak, it was lean, full of flavour and juicy, cooked perfectly medium rare to my request. The squid was my chosen starter and arguably the best I've had, they're using sauces I've never tasted before but certainly made the dish an unmatched edition of calamari. 5*

We went in for a steak heard a lot of good reports and yes the steak was good ! But. And there’s always a but. I hold a Veteran’s Discount Card and Blue light. I asked if these were acceptable “No I’m afraid “ ok no problem. So we asked for the Bill. 3 of us £138. Nothing extravagant no wine and one beer each. Then we were told there Is a £12 service charge added. If we want to pay it. Well I’ll leave it to you to decide what I said. £12 !!! After a £138 meal. And A veteran and a blue light card. This is the thanks we are supposed to get for what we have done for our country. Everywhere should accept our cards. Food was good don’t get me wrong but come on please. £12 service charge. No way.

Went for Sunday dinner , staff were friendly , we orders Sunday roast , the food took a long time to arrive & when it did it consisted of 1 slice of meat & a Yorkshire pudding , the waiter said he’d be straight back with the vegetables however we had all but eaten the meat & Yorkshire pudding & had to ask for the vegetables twice ! Spoilt the lunch & was expecting more than 1 slice of meat for £20 each ! Disappointed

I have been here previously on many occasions and have never had an experience this poor. I went tonight on a date with my girlfriend for the 3 course meal deal. Firstly when we were seated, it took 10 minutes to order drinks and a further 15 minutes to the receive our drinks. We then received our starters, I ordered the Parmo Croquettes, and when I cut inside them they were completely raw. I notified a staff member who swiftly took them away to be changed. However upon receiving them again they were still raw and even more pink than the previous. I sent these back and told the waitress I did not want any more. The duty manager proceeded to come over to tell us that it was fine to eat, however I did not feel comfortable finishing the dish. Shortly after we got our mains, I got a rump steak which was full of fat and overall unpleasant. Eventually we decided to skip dessert and leave. The duty manager took £5 off our bill for the parmo Croquettes, and proceeded to tell us she removed the Optional service charge to apologise which we could have removed ourselves. I'm overall extremely disappointed with our experience tonight, and will not be going back anytime soon.

Amazing food, drink and atmosphere. We came as a big group for a birthday party and pre-ordered our food. Staff were incredibly friendly, the food was really tasty and came out promptly and the cocktails here are insanely nice! Would highly recommend going here for special occasions if it’s a meal you want to remember. My recommendations would be for the sharing platter (shown is my plate with less than my 1/2 share of the platter) and the twister cocktail unfortunately not pictured.

I go to this place like once a year, but everytime it s like a first time and so so good 😍 maybe that something to do with a stunning view this restaurant offers or with chicken parmo 💁🏼‍♀️😂

This place is amazing. View is incredible of the beach and Huntcliffe. Food was great. We had 3 types of steak and all perfect. Probably in my top 5 steaks of all time! Bill worked out £60 per head and that was with 2 bottles of wine and 4-5 beers and included tip so can’t complain. Highly recommend.

Booked here in advance for 4 adults + 1 dog., We arrived early and was told they were fully booked until our time slot. So we waited in the “drinks only “ area. When our time came we were shown to our table which was literally next to where we had been waiting and no one had sat at this table all the time we were waiting! So that was a little annoying. We ordered our food nachos to start and then 2 10 oz flat iron a beef sandwich and a chicken dish. Unfortunately I forget to get a pic of the food apart from my son’s steak. The food was nice. But didn’t blow us away. However the prices did. You’re looking at around £30 for the 10oz flat iron. The staff could have been a little more attentive and little touches like treats for your dog would have been welcomed.

Had Sunday lunch here today and it was lovely. Service was great, the staff were very attentive. Very nice food and plenty of it. My only negatives were that it was a little cold where we were seated and over £10 for a glass of wine seems excessive. This was my third visit and I’ve enjoyed them all

We left as it takes 1 hour to get the breakfast out After 45 minutes of being there we cancelled our breakfast We had drank our teas and coffees they took 15 min to get out Wouldn’t take food order as kitchen needed time so it was taken after being there 20 min I was told by staff it was quite acceptable to wait 45 minutes But we still hadn’t got our breakfast and had to be at golf Nice location it wasn’t really busy The staff just kept apologising for the kitchen being slow plenty of staff on front of house

A first class breakfast of steak, eggs and fried potatoes washed down with Camden Pale Ale. The service was, as always, efficient and friendly (Charlotte today) and the view of a very small pony being schooled on the beach most interesting.

First visit to this one in Saltburn, wonderfully sharing roast plater, couple of minor issues as we had bone fragments in two of the starters which is disappointing. Remander of the meal was very good with great selection and good quality, veg is Al dente so not to everyone's liking but overall a very nice experience and w9rth a visit. The views would be amazing if you can get a w8ndow seat over the front. And we will probably go again when the weather is nice and do alfresco lunch in the sun. All things considered its a chain restaurant but does sit at the top end .

Got taken out for Mother’s Day no atmosphere , was seated in conservatory freezing cold had to eat with my coat on as most people did around us . Food came ,, cold sent it back to receive near enough the same temperature back . Looked totally underwhelming . Never got asked once if all was ok or any more drinks needed etc . Asked for bill then no one came to take it . Unorganised

We came here for breakfast which was delicious as a Mother’s Day treat. We needed somewhere dog friendly and we certainly picked the right spot, Grace was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing with us but more importantly Ferguson our dog 🐕 . The food, service and atmosphere were lovely and we can highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back and try more delicious food. Big thanks to Grace for keeping Ferguson calm so we could enjoy our breakfast.

Very disappointed poor service waited over an hour for food. Chatauebriand was awful fatty and chewy. Complained about the quality. The manager spoke to us said the chef said this was because we ordered the steak rare given the size of meat to be cooked rare the fat and sinew wouldn’t break down! Surely a fillet of beef hasn’t got fat that would need to be broken down in the cooking process.

First thing to note on entering the resturant, it was as warm as the welcome from the staff. The menu was huge and interesting. The view from our table was spectacular and individually heated. Our table was waited on by a lovely lady called Grace. The food was great, the salad all fresh, the cooked food hot and well cooked.the cocktail was the nicest I have ever ever had, so nice I had two.

An excellent lunch - absolutely delicious, and great value £20 for 3 courses. GF main menu and options available on the promotion too. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Not great. One of the steaks was full on sinew and inedible. The cost of the food should result in better quality and sadly that isn't the case. It's mediocre at best.

Have been to most of the Tomahawks in the North East but the staff at Saltburn especially Grace and Jane are by far absolutely amazing, they are so friendly, kind and the service was 10/10. Thank you ladies. Also the breakfast was delicious.

We stumbled on this gem of a place not long after arriving in Saltburn! Blown away by the friendly staff food & the whole place! Grace made us & our 2 dogs feel so welcome! Fabulous place!!

What a great lunch we have enjoyed! The Restaurant Week in Saltburn meant a three course meal for just £20! We booked online (very easily done on the website) ‘phoned in order to enquire of the gluten free menu and were very impressed by the bright and informative response. We sat at a window table for four with a breathtaking view of Huntcliff, Saltburn pier and the beach; glorious! The menu offered good range across each course and the food was delicious and very well presented! The piece de resistance is the wonderful staff employed here, what a team! From greeting to seating we were welcomed and attended with warmth and much good humour! Grace and Jane were delightful hosts for what was a really enjoyable meal. We’ll be back!

Lovely set up, beautiful views and friendly staff (thanks, Grace!) I was pleasantly surprised they had a veggie and vegan menu (I know it's 2024 but they are a steakhouse!) Unfortunately, I was then rather disappointed: there was no vegan option available on their 3-courses-for-£20 deal, the veggie & vegan menu only identified the full vegan options (rather than using an explained key of, say, "VG means vegan, VGO means vegan option available on request) and there was a single vegan main option. I went for that (burger) and, alas, was disappointed again as it was a very plain burger with no attempt to make it more interested. The only thing that may have been missing to liven it up was the Tomahawk ketchup - I don't think there was any on the burger (before I added some, which I'd requested separately) and if the ketchup provided was tomahawk ketchup, it tastes an AWFUL lot like normal ketchup. Thank you, Tomahawk, for having a whole bunch of veggie options. It would be super great if you could give even a *little* more consideration to your vegan customers, especially when offering everyone else such a great deal with your combo option.

We went for restaurant week had 3 courses for £20 all good excellent fresh good flavours and looked fabulous staff excellent and friendly didnt wait long for food or drinks will definately go again

Food was stone cold, sent it back was still cold. Service was terrible people avoiding eye contact not to take plates. We just asked for the bill in the end with the dirty plates still in front of us. No one asked how are meal was ok or if we needed anything had so find someone for a steak knife. Just a let down from start to finish.

Very nice Food, pleasant staff, seated in the veranda area 3 of us on a 6 seating table, heating was broken so we had to leave our coats on, eventually moved ourselves as we wernt offered an alterternative table. £8.40 surcharge added to the bill which we didnt pay due to cold table area.

Terrible, food took ages to arrive. Took some friends with us and told them how good their chicken goujons were on the kids menu, my daughter loves them! When they arrived they were cheap chicken nuggets! My daughter was so upset as she was looking...

Really tasty 3 course meal...dirty tots with pulled pork was delicious followed by the tasty haddock with creamed leek and chives and dessert I shared the pecan pie and creme brulee which were both lovely...all for £20 ....highly recommended
