We semi often enjoy a takeaway but today we went to the restaurant for the Sunday buffet. A great selection of dishes which were regularly topped up. Helpful efficient staff. Plenty of space at the table. The boys enjoyed watching the fish.

Absolutely wonderful food and service! First time visiting and it was amazing. Great selection on the menu and the flavourful food did not disappoint! Waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go again!

Delicious food, very well presented. We went for a set banquet and portions were very good - we were full but not over faced. Staff were friendly and service was quick. We were visiting the area but if we were local this would definitely be a regular place to go!

Hidden gem. We have never been to Malvern amd wanted somewhere to eat before the theatre. You wouldn't know this restaurant was there, it is set back in the houses. It has amazing authentic decor, friendly staff and the food was amazing. If you are in the area, this is a must

Really nice place and very good quality food.

Just back from a lovely meal. Liked the decor and we were really well looked after throughout the meal. We enjoyed all the dishes that we tried, particularly the Thai egg fried rice and lamb massaman curry. Decent selection of drinks and we thought it was all reasonably priced. Will return!

Hard to rate this one, do I rate it subjectively as Thai food in Colwall, or as Thai food overall objectively? I'll go for objectively.. Overall the food is terrible, everything kind of tastes the same, with a sloppy starchy tasteless brown sauce. There's no heat, maillard or fragrance in anything. Thai food is famous for its beautiful melding of salty, spicy, sour and sweet. This had none of those. The crispy aromatic duck was also bone dry and the pancakes all stuck into a clump. The "3 chilli" which is their most spicy rating dish we ordered was remarked on by my 5 year old as not spicy at all. The rice portions were way too big, I asked how big they were as we had 2 small kids and 3 adults and got no guidance at all from the waitress. In contrast the protein portions were abysmally the Thai green curry was watery, thin, tasteless and had about 4 tiny bits of meat in it. They also had no leafy green veges available, the mixed seasonal vegetables was a miserable mix of carrots and mushrooms cabbage and a bunch of stuff you never see in Thailand. The hawkstone lager was the tastiest thing I had all night. It's also not cheap at £80+ for the meal, had much more tastier food from a Malvern Chinese takeaway for £30+. Will not return even though it's walking distance away.

Holidaying in the area and chose this restaurant as it was local to our accommodation and had good reviews. We were only collecting a takeaway but when walking in, immediately noticed the beautiful decor and friendly staff. Food was delicious and good sized portions. Definitely recommend.

Wow, what a Gem of a place, new ish to the area, looking for a Thai to replace our one from down south, ticked all the boxes, warm welcome, cosy, good selection, good value and a taste bud explosion, top place will be revisiting very soon.

Arrived on a Friday lunchtime to find it closed, despite being advertised as open. Thanks for your sincere apology! It would be helpful to indicate on your website that bookings are required. In future I’ll be sure to go elsewhere.

We have been coming to this thai restaurant for about 15 years now, and it is the best thai restaurant in the UK we have ever been to. We live 30 minutes away but still travel over as we love it so much. The food is tasty, varied and simply divine. There is always a generous serving of meat or fish, the flavours are spot on and we are never left disappointed. We have tried all the local thai restaurants in Worcester, Cheltenham, Pershore and Bromsgrove, but Thai Rama outshines them all by a country mile. The staff are friendly and welcoming and now greet us like old friends which is always lovely, and the decor and atmosphere is warm, inviting, intimate and yet ornate at the same time. The speed of service is never rushed or too slow either, it’s just right. Thai Rama simply can’t be beaten ❤️ plus, it’s great value.

What a gem. A superb Thai restaurant with great ambience and top-class food. We lived in Thailand for 11 years and know very good Thai food when we taste it! Alas, we were only in the area overnight to break a long drive so it's unlikely that we will be able to eat there again, but we'd be back regularly if we lived in the area.

Good service and amazing food, very fairly priced as well. The couple who run the place have also taken extra precautions to make the eatery COVID safe.

Not a review of food, but severely disappointed. We booked a table for 8.15 to arrive and be told that our table wouldn’t be free for another 45 minutes due to people showing up to their bookings late. We are now left with no option but to go and find somewhere else for dinner! There was no offer to make up a table, or move people on. There was no apology, and not even really an inch of sympathy for the fact that even having booked a table we were unable to actually eat. Very disappointed.

Third visit and fantastic meal and service. THE best - beats all the highly rated restaurants in Cheltenham and Gloucester AND less pricey. Fantastic, friendly service. Cannot praise too highly, Thank you for a great evening

I came to this Thai restaurant on a Sunday. I originally thought I was ordering from the menu, but when I arrived I found out it was an automatic lunch, priced at £12.95 per person + 10% service charge. Lunch includes appetizers (fried food + skewered chicken, etc.), salad, Thai soup, rice, fried rice, Pad Thai, about ten kinds of hot food, including vegetarian food, as well as desserts and fruits. All kinds of food taste very good. It's worth eating such a quality and cheap lunch in the UK. The lunch buffet is only available on Sundays, and a la carte menu is available from Monday to Saturday.

Always have a good Thai meal here. Service is great, food is tasty and well spiced and there is lots of choice - good choice for vegetarian dishes also. The Thai wine is also pretty descent. Would highly recommend Thai rama for a special occasion or an evening meal.

I'm not impressed. There was some confusion over who was having what food. The starters were good but the main course was not hot. Despite the table heaters. This is the third time I've been. Once privately and twice with a group. I'm not impressed, I like my meals hot.

Found this on the Internet, I was staying in colwell, so we did the Sunday buffet, it was lovely food wonderful flavours and very tasty, lovely surroundings and friendly staff, just wished I lived nearer.... a must on your restaurant list

Yes it’s an old pub, that could do with a little more “converting”. But, the food, is outstanding, really outstanding. Lovely service too, helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Ordered by phone and it was ready 15 mins later for collection, only downside was it was a little on the cool side.

My partner and I decided to give this restaurant a go as we both love thai food. Thai Rama certainly did not disappoint! The restaurant has got a very nice ambience. Feels like I'm actually in Thailand. We ordered a glass noodle dish, sweet and sour monkfish and a spicy sea bass. Portions are huge especially their sticky rice! Will definitely come back the next time we visit the area again.

Beautifully prepared food and very tasty. One of our party was coeliac and they did extra gluten free dishes for him.

Had a lovely meal with 3 friends. The first since covid, but frequent visitors. Very careful with covid measures, understandably, tho front door locked until they come & take your temperature! We shared 2 banquets which we're lovely, tho in the past we've been offered top ups if required but we weren't offered this time. My only gripe is that there is always a 10% service charge added without question, and that irkes me. I like to decide the tip based on service.

Quite nice, pleasant staff and very friendly. Aromatic duck a little dry but OK. The mats, however, need replacing as they were dirty.

Visited with my niece last Wednesday.. delicious foods and very well presented. Decor clean and tidy. Female staff very friendly and welcoming. But did receive a remark for eating Thai crackers whilst looking at the menu. Which I've always done whilst choosing

Went to the restaurant last night, luxury dining with amazing staff who made us feel really special. The food tasted delicious as always. A wonderful place to enjoy special authentic food.Social distancing was in place so felt safe at all times. Will definitely be back.
