Burger Shop Hereford in Herefordshire, County of

I took my partner and daughter here a few weeks ago. I have to say, the meals were pretty good, and on that basis alone, I'd probably go back What didn't I like? No one to greet us when we arrived. No one to show us to a suitable table. Were we just supposed to walk in and sit down at a random table? We sheepishly did so, expecting someone to come and berate us. We soon realised that we were also responsible for taking our own order. Order food at on the website linked to by the QR code, but order drinks at the bar - obviously. Before we were half way through making our order, I'm not even sure we'd seen a member of staff, so I was a little baffled by the request for a tip when I went to checkout/pay for our order. For what service? We hadn't received any. And of course you have to wonder whether other people actually tip, or receice the same level of no service before being asked to pay for great service Thankfully they did have a chef on duty, and a server appeared from time to time after that point A baffling experience, but I guess great if you have soxial anxiety Maybe they should ask for tips after providing some service, though

Wonderful experience, hospitality was amazing. Dani was assigned as our waitress and she was extremely polite and professional, very lovely person to speak with. Food was great and the whole service was as you expect, not much time in waiting for drinks and food.

I used to love this place but I worry that it’s going the same way as so many other restaurants. Having initially been greeted and told to take a seat, a sullen waitress came over to the table and greeted my small party with a ‘have you booked?’ It was a Monday lunchtime, there were plenty of tables available and a smile and a ‘Hello’ would have been appreciated first! She also didn’t bother to tell us that the specials had all run out, which was annoying, given that all three of us were going to order from that board. The other gripe is the main menu; there are more vegetarians in the country than there are vegans, so why are so many restaurants focusing exclusively on vegan food? It’s not enough to tell customers they can have a ‘real’ slice of cheese to make a vegan burger vegetarian. It would be great if chefs would use some imagination and always offer a delicious vegetarian burger AND a vegan burger, alongside the many meat options. It’s not great for a business’ environmental credentials either - everyone knows people need to eat less meat, so why not just offer more alternatives for everyone?

10 of us visited for birthday celebrations, as soon as we arrived a waitress took our drinks orders. All our food arrived at the same time, hot and delicious. The onion rings are immense! Really enjoyed our visit, thank you!

Just had a home delivery. Usual order. Ordered a few times before. This time it was awful. Very salty and not edible. Spoilt our confidence. Doubt we will be back.

I can honestly say, hand on heart, that this is absolutely the very best burger I've ever had! I'm actually glad that I don't live close by as I'd become extremely overweight if I did as my powers of restraint against a burger this good would fail miserably... Very highly recommended to everyone!!

A bit of a special day for me today. Dani made me feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The food was bloomin delicious and the service was second to none. Thank you Dani and the chef who made my visit today well worth it and in modern speak Lush

We took our family out for an 18th birthday meal. Exceptionally good service from Rama and the burgers and fries were just fantastic! We also loved the music which had my teenage sons Shazamming what was playing while we were there. We will be back!

Got the falafel burger and some funny chips. Price was decent, company not so much. Wish I ordered another burger cause I ate it too fast. Proper good sauce. Ketchup genuinely best I’ve ever had, could taste the tomatoes in them. Heinz will never hit the same again. Top notch from the Rule of Tum lot. Big love OM x

The food was great, a tasty burger and incredible fries, unfortunately the service is abysmal. We waited for 15 mins whilst other walk ins were attended to. Drinks had to be asked for, water not delivered and the final insult was not offering the card machine to pay, the neighbouring table didn’t have the same issue. Inexperienced waiting team who are more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving……. A memorable trip to Hereford for all the wrong reasons. Obviously no tip was given.

I got this food on Uber eats as I can’t often go out due to health issues. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering or eating here again. The outside of the burger was burnt and the inside was still red, obviously poor quality meat. I had “the pub burger”. Their food made me extremely sick. Was in the bathroom for 2+ hours with a bad stomach, and ended up throwing up, and almost passed out. I don’t recommend their food. Ended up getting a refund, but the burger for what it’s worth is NOT worth £10. I’ve had burgers priced at £2.50 that tasted better and didn’t make me debate a hospital trip.

Lovely little place to hang out for a few hours… I only had some chips (which were delicious) and a few glasses of coke… but still… Jake (serving) was super accommodating and played a cracking selection of tunes… cheers

“Burger Shop in Hereford was a bit of a letdown. While the food itself was okay, it felt overpriced for what you get. The portions were on the small side considering the cost, and there wasn’t much that made the meal feel like it stood out from other burger places. The atmosphere didn’t add much to the experience either—it felt a bit lacking and didn’t have the cozy or vibrant vibe you might expect. Overall, it was just an average experience, and for the price, I’d probably look for somewhere else next time.”

Visited the Burger Shop Hereford today and was extremely impressed with the service and food. Jake was very friendly, looked after us well and made us feel very welcomed. One of the best burgers I have eaten for a long time. Will definitely be back .

Just had quite simply the best Gluten free Burger and Fries I've had since I've been caeliac. (Diagnosed 2021) I checked out Burger Shop Hereford online and the reviews thankfully helped me select this place (visiting for the day) the staff asked if I was caeliac and were so friendly and accommodating. I have never felt so normal as a customer (if you know- you know!) I ordered there fan favourite the Hereford Beef and it didn't disappoint. All fillings were Gluten free and the bun held up well too. They prepare all Gluten free separately and have separate fryers for their fries which quite frankly were up there with the best I've had, so Crispy and fluffy and also came with a Roast Garlic Mayonnaise which was naughty 😋. This is made fresh on the premises. If you live in this area or nearby you must visit, it won't disappoint and there's no allergy flags in your food and no feeling different. 😉

No ipa on pump is my only small complaint

The best burger i have had, EVER! And i truly mean that. It blows Five Guys, Shake Shack, McDonald’s, Burger King, right out the water, in fact, it’s in a league of it’s own. The decor of the restaurant is sleek and modern, which is my preferred style for this sought of establishment. The staff were excellent and on the ball. Very well trained and knowledgeable of the menu. And the clear star of the show, the delicious, succulent, juicy burger. Words cannot emphasise how good this really was. It literally was love at first bite, heaven on a plate, it was phenomenally beyond this world, this galaxy, THIS UNIVERSE! But with all jokes aside, i loved every minute that we spent chatting in this cosy, warm establishment. From the decor to the service to the food, would i recommend this place? Without a shadow of doubt i will. You must, must come here because you are seriously missing out on top quality food for what i would consider a reasonable price. If I could give it a 10/10, i would. But for the sake of the review, it’s 5/5+

It was quiet when I went between midday and 1pm, and for a while had the Burger Shop to myself! A delightful member of the management team was minding the shop as staff were busy in the separate restaurant next door. Very pleasant service with a huge smile and chatty, too, and as I live on my own, chat was much appreciated, even though she was busy with a mound of paperwork as well as serving. I had the Hereford Beef burger, with skin on fries, with an ipa shandy. My mouth is watering just thinking about the experience, I’m not joking😀 I have never tasted such a delicious burger like this before. It’s the sum taste of all the ingredients that blend together so well that makes it so memorable. Some say a burger is a burger, tip enough ketchup on it and it’s the best - but no! It’s not. These guys know - they’ve taken the common burger and made theirs from grass fed Hereford prime beef, and NOTHING else tastes like that . A wonderful experience I can’t wait to repeat, hopefully with company next time 🙏 Thank you for making my first visit to Hereford so brilliant - I love you guys !

Ate here a year ago and was warmly welcomed, friendly attentive waitress and chatty staff. Food was amazing. Fast forward 12 months and booked again for my wife's birthday. Nobody front of house to show us where to sit. Queued at the bar to let them know we had booked a table and were told to sit anywhere. Person behind the bar couldn't of been less happy if they tried. Maybe try smiling at customers. All orders now done through the website and no cash sales! 35 mins later our burgers are dropped on our table by a very miserable waitress. We eat our burgers and at no point does any staff member check our food is ok. We leave without so much of a "thanks for coming" "goodbye" or anything else. Really disappointing experience. In 12 months it's gone from a friendly, welcoming dining experience, with chatty, happy staff and being able to pay cash to what is basically an experience similar to going to maccys. Turn up, order online, sit where you want, eat your food and go. No interaction, just pay, eat and leave. The food is great, but the complete lack of any interest from any staff members there and no cash is enough to not bother going back.

I visited the Burger Shop on Monday evening. The food was great , the ambiance was really nice but what really made our evening was the fabulous service from Maddie. Thanks for a lovely evening- we will be back!

Always love a visit to the burger shop! Maddie greeted us with a friendly smile and showed us to our seats. The food was exceptional as always full of flavour 🤤 plenty of sides were ordered (eyes bigger than our bellies!) It was a little quiet but then it was a Monday evening so didn’t expect a roaring space. As always we will return ❤️
