First time visiting the Burger Shop, and it won’t be the last! The food was lovely and came very quickly, and the staff were very helpful and attentive- special thanks to our waitress Maddie! Would definitely recommend for an evening out as a family.

Ate here a year ago and was warmly welcomed, friendly attentive waitress and chatty staff. Food was amazing. Fast forward 12 months and booked again for my wife's birthday. Nobody front of house to show us where to sit. Queued at the bar to let them know we had booked a table and were told to sit anywhere. Person behind the bar couldn't of been less happy if they tried. Maybe try smiling at customers. All orders now done through the website and no cash sales! 35 mins later our burgers are dropped on our table by a very miserable waitress. We eat our burgers and at no point does any staff member check our food is ok. We leave without so much of a "thanks for coming" "goodbye" or anything else. Really disappointing experience. In 12 months it's gone from a friendly, welcoming dining experience, with chatty, happy staff and being able to pay cash to what is basically an experience similar to going to maccys. Turn up, order online, sit where you want, eat your food and go. No interaction, just pay, eat and leave. The food is great, but the complete lack of any interest from any staff members there and no cash is enough to not bother going back.

I visited the Burger Shop on Monday evening. The food was great , the ambiance was really nice but what really made our evening was the fabulous service from Maddie. Thanks for a lovely evening- we will be back!

Always love a visit to the burger shop! Maddie greeted us with a friendly smile and showed us to our seats. The food was exceptional as always full of flavour 🤤 plenty of sides were ordered (eyes bigger than our bellies!) It was a little quiet but then it was a Monday evening so didn’t expect a roaring space. As always we will return ❤️

Gives Beefy Boys a run for its money, it's tucked out the way so is less busy. Great burgers but a shame you only get a burger so you have to order everything else at extra cost (fries included)

Very small burger for the price. Meat flavourless, if you can even isolate it from the unnecessary volumes of sauce slathered on it. Bun bordlerine stale and cardboard-like. Fries alarmingly salty.

We would like commend the young man Ewan who was working the tables. He was super polite and really efficient. Whilst we were there I don’t think he stopped to take a breath. Hats off to him for having such a great work ethic, and congrats to you guys having secured such a great member of your team.

Went first time ever the burger double bacon and cheese was the nicest burger I've ever tasted also the fries were absolutely amazing definitely going back the next time I visit Hereford service was prompt staff friendly

This burger skyrocketed to my top 3 of all time. And the kimchi was some of the best kimchi I’ve ever had, which surprised me. The fries were next level delicious too - like roasties meets fries. Perfectly executed. We got the Hereford burger and the Worcester blue burgers and the beef was the star - it’s melt in your mouth tender but with still nice charring from the smash patties, and it had a very rich and beefy flavour. The Worcester blue toppings are my favourite combo of blue cheese and caramelised onion and the brioche bun was super good, pretty substantial and didn’t get greasy. My one comment is the sauce got a bit messy at the end and knife and fork were needed but it’s not really a complaint. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the service was good too! I will try to come here anytime I visit Hereford.

Ollie was an amazing host , top lad ! Even when they didn’t have coke cans left he went above and beyond and got x2 takeaway cups for us ! If you like burgers , and want more flavour with local ingredients this is the place to go !

Me and my family absolutely adore this place! We come here with every opportunity and are constantly pleased and surprised with the quality of service and food compared to many other places we’ve been to. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, a gorgeously designed place and i find good music is always playing. With such lovely staff who are always enthusiastic and kind, you are promised to feel welcome every time. I personally recommend the falafel burger as it is my personal favourite, it has wonderful flavours and is a great vegetarian option which i think most would enjoy. A cheeky side of rosemary fries is a must! Absolutely delicious! An added touch to your fries you never thought you needed. But i can assure anything you decide to order will be thoroughly enjoyed and will constantly be craved, you’ll always want to come back!! If you’re looking for a new place to try definitely check this place out!

Polite, prompt, patient service. A wonderful family friendly experience. It was my daughter’s birthday and we all enjoyed our visit. The mushroom ketchup on the truffle burger was delicious. All the flavours worked really well together and I can never resist the cheesy curds. The food was exceptional. Dani and Rosie were so helpful and took excellent care of us. The kitchen team looked very busy, clearly doing a fabulous job of making sure we didn’t wait long. Thank you very much to everyone @Burger shop.

I have visited The Burger Shop numerous times and it is always such good food, atmosphere and service. They always keep the menu fresh yet retain a few trust favourites. Rosie is an absolutely star and made sure we had what we needed. It is BY FAR the best burger restaurant in Hereford and a solid favourite of mine.

We conme here on purpose, its better than the over hyped beefyboys. Better prices and the food is generally better.

Burger shop is a family fave! Burgers and sides are always amazing and service is brilliant. My 8yr old daughter asked for some colouring pencils and paper and they'd ran out of pencils so she got some of her own highlighter pens from her bag so my daughter could use them :) Highly recommend this place!

Favourite burger place I’ve been to

ordered the food from this place, never tried it before but all their meals looked very delicious once it arrived to my house, was pleased with the order I got - it was very filling, had amazing flavour, the coleslaw looked homemade and tasted great, the chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and also weren’t oil, the burger wasn’t too big nor too small but just the right size to enjoy, I enjoyed my meal a lot. would 100% recommend others trying this place, plus I got free sweets which was a nice surprise on top of everything else :)

My friends and I found this spot spontaneously after beefy boys wouldn't seat us coz they had reached capacity, on a Wednesday night...? Safe to say, we're very happy they couldn't because this place was better. It has such a welcoming charm to it, all of us come from 10+ years of hospo experience and we all immediately recognized the very friendly and attentive service shown. Food came quickly and we all were in agreement at the juiciness and freshness of the burgers. I have to give extra props for the complimentary hygiene products in the bathrooms, they weren't needed but the sentiment shows a comfortable and caring atmosphere. All the staff seem genuinely happy to be there which is so refreshing to see. Very happy to support local burger joints like this any day of the week and very happy we found you. We're coming straight to you next time. Keep up the great work

Hadn't been to Rule of Tum for about 3 years until yesterday. As always great burgers but service is now much much better. Attentive without being overpowering and very efficient and helpful

Food excellent as usual, we had 2 burgers, fries & gurkins. Only slight concern was the burgers weren’t labelled so difficult to give out when arrived home.

This restaurant has certainly grown since the last time I dined in. Very clean and welcoming when I stepped inside during half term. Jake was extremely nice and showed me to a table. The menus were handed to me at the same time. A great choice of Burgers and side dishes including a vegetarian choice. Good choice of beverages either alcoholic or on alcoholic plus complimentary table water. The special offer that was running this week is particularly attractive today, to permit families to bring the kids in for a treat. FIVE POUNDS ONLY for a choice of three delicious burgers from the special menu. I don't think they'd be able to go to a chain and beat that price, especially with the love and attention that goes into preparing these particular burgers. This appears to be a well run establishment that delivers on quality.

Absolutely delicious, I loved the vegan option, had it with salad rather than in a bun which enabled me to fit in the glorious fries 😋 . Friends had the chicken and kimchi beef options, both said they were fabulous.

My husband took me for lunch to this Burger Shop, as it was Valentine’s Day today. The welcome was extremely friendly from Ollie and Jake, the lads serving in the restaurant. Even the kitchen staff were smiling and seemed cheerful. The food was pretty quick to arrive, and tasted scrumptious. The beef was extremely delicious. A lovely bottle of table water was provided for myself and our dog whilst my husband enjoyed a glass of Henry Weston’s local cider. I think it’s so good that dogs are welcomed in here and in The Bookshop next door. We take our small well behaved dog everywhere with us, as he enjoys coming along. Thank you for a great dining experience today.

Stopped into the Book Shop/Burger Shop on a Sunday arvo for a drink and decided to grab some lunch. Burger Shop menu is simple and interesting. We tried out the Kimchi Burger and Chick with sides of Forage Fries and Cheese Curds. Everything was super fresh, well prepared and very tasty. Great meal and lovely team working there. Dog friendly too as the hound joined us and sampled the fare. Can recommend.

My all time favourite burger shop! The burgers, sides and service are all top notch!!!

We had a group booking for an Xmas party for 15 people and each paid a deposit. On the day we had more than could have been anticipated cancellations due to illnesses/family emergencies. The burger shop were informed of these by 1pm on the day and upon arrival I was greeted poorly by the manager working at the time. I did not feel welcome at all. It was cramped and couldn't get in and out of tables without other guests having to get up and move to let us through. We all had our food & drinks which were amazing! But the food which was cancelled they still tried to serve to us. They then tried to charge us for the food which was cancelled and we did not have. Again the manager was rude and clearly did not have the time for us and I could not wait to get out of there.

The best piece of meat I’ve had in my mouth in at least 12 hours!

The burgers are very good but unfortunately the side cheese curds were not worth the price. I paid £7.50 for literally 4 small cheese curds. The people working are nice but it took 1 hr to receive my burger for take away. I think they don't have enough people in the kitchen.

It was a nice change from our usual food spots and a more refined burger. The price was excellent for the quality and service, the atmosphere was good with attentive waiting staff without being imposing. Very spacious and not overcrowded like some restaurants can be. I would recomend the burger shop and would certainly eat here again.
