Ruby's of London in Greenwich

As a GF diner I was excited to visit the Tunbridge Wells branch. Won’t be going back. Website leads you to believe it’s good for Gluten Free diners but it’s not. No doughnuts or brownies. Half the cakes were not GF and neither were the sausage rolls. No soup available either! Had huge slice of cake which looked great but was rather dry. Coffee was good but expensive. Staff very cheery but unable to meet expected dietary requirements.

Great place for coffee and cake on edge of Greenwich Market. V friendly staff. Great air con (it was heatwave) and good choice of music. It’s plant based, not that you’d notice.

Everything looked immaculate when we arrived, really mouth watering my good. We met Dale and he was amazingly friendly, helpful, super accommodating and professional. What a great place, what a breath of fresh air… the food was superb and the service was outstanding… would highly recommend everyone to start their Sunday mornings off the sane way as my family and I were lucky enough to, today!! Thank you Dale and team, excellent all round!!

Popped in here for lunch, they have a pie and salad meal deal which is good value and delicious. The staff were really lovely and friendly so overall the experience here was great. The cakes looked delicious, I really need to go back another day to try them

Thinking in coffee and a vegan dessert, just stop buy. Massive piece of cake. We order a double expresso + americano + banoffee pie = £10.10 very good price indeed

A little find while browsing through Greenwich and its market. Enjoyed a quiche and salad lunch with cake and a hot drink. So much so that we returned for similar the next time we were passing. However, that exhausted their choice of savoury; but not of cake. Helpful friendly service.

We have come here several time since they opened in Tunbridge Wells and have had their quiche and salad options (delicious), their sausage rolls (also delicious) and we've tried pretty much all their cakes. Really lovely staff and really flavoursome lunches and decadent cakes. We got married a few weeks ago and they made our wedding cake and Ruby was so helpful in making sure everything went smoothly for us - we can't recommend this place enough!

Found this eatery on our first visit to Tunbridge Wells. From the outside looks like a typical cafe but it is a vegan cafe and cake shop. I am not vegan but was surprised at the quality of the food. I had rainbow quiche with potato salad and kale and tahine salad. Delicious. Would be good if they could open more cafes.

We looked up bakeries in Tunbridge Wells before venturing out this day. Came across Ruby's of London. The photos suggested it might be quite decadent, and that's what we're after. Although there was a Red Velvet cake in the window with others, I couldn't have that because it was to be sold whole and wouldn't be sliced. I settled for a cupcake of the same flavour, a bit disappointed. We didnt realise this shop was of the vegan variety and didn't notice that info online either. Not until we were asked what milk we wanted in coffees. As we felt committed by now, we paid 15.50£ and sat down to wait for the young waiter to bring our purchase. Both cake and coffees were underwhelming with the only flavour of the cake being the very sugary icing. I opted for a hazelnut shot in my iced coffee. I didn't taste the hazelnut nor was the coffee cold. The place was tidy and clean. But it didn't live up to the photos posted online, especially with the non existence of food variety.

Another brilliant visit to Ruby’s. Great to have so much choice for both vegan and gluten free. The caramel chocolate cake was delicious.

Absolutely amazing vegan & gluten free cakes! Even pleased the non-gluten free/vegan eaters. Not as dry as most gluten free bakes which was lovely. The lemon and poppyseed was really tasty and the cake was decorated beautifully. The only reason I didn’t give it 5/5 was because the confirmation email should be clearer, including shop opening times. The email only stated collection date. As this was a Sunday the website said it was closed. So I had a little panic. But all turned out well. I was greeted by a lovely lady, whom made sure the cake was what I ordered and all was well in the end. I will visit this weekend for some sit in coffee and doughnuts (they looked incredible) Thank you Ruby’s of london.

I’m only not giving 5 stars as there is no loo. Just have to say I love everything there is to eat. The tea was so good too. Just wish I had bought more

Beautiful cakes to eat. We went on a weekday and it was quiet. We ate inside and the staff was friendly, gave us time to decide what we wanted to buy (no pressure). Good service. Offered us a glass of water.

I confess we only had cups of tea here, but they were particularly good and we wished we hadn't had a breakfast only a couple of hours earlier as those cakes looked absolutely amazing! We had a chat with Ruby's mum while she was on her break and she was delightful. Next time I come to Greenwich Market, I shall be saving myself for this place.

We always had a hard time finding a good place to get a birthday cake for our kids, some of them have egg allergy so we tried so many places until about two years ago I stumbled across Ruby’s of London.... and we have never looked again... Ruby’s cakes and all round food is just fantastic... and the taste well let’s just say no matter how many words used it would not do it justice... we don’t live nearby but I always order from Rubys and pick up from the market, the store or the bakery.... It’s worth the 80min round trip! This year we had orders cake and few days before it we cancelled as Ruby’s had to close for few days....last minute tired another well known bakery in London who now does eggless cakes and needless to say we didn’t get past few slices and had to throw it away... it might have been eggless/vegan but once you taste Ruby’s you will never again use anyone else... Delicate wonderful flavours, beautiful moist sponge and amazing decorations....

Popped in for a Friday night lockdown treat for myself and my partner. The two bits of carrot and cherry cake were absolutely delicious. Staff also nice and friendly. Will be back for sure.

I was advised all food options contain soya. With soya having such a negative environmental impact and a top allergen you’d expect one dish to be soy free.

Friendly vegan, or plant-based, cake shop (formerly a successful stall in the market, now outgrown) with excellent cup-cakes, baked doughnuts and full-size cakes etc, together with some savoury flans and vegan mozzarella sausage rolls (I think I have that right). I feel as though I’m missing something here. These were possibly the worst gluten free cakes / baked donuts I have tried. They were grainy, dense and not edible at all. They look fantastic but apart from that the taste was awful.

Friendly friendly service and delicious bakes. What more can you ask for. I had the apple crumble and it was a delight

Happened across Ruby’s while exploring Greenwich Market, an they are without a doubt the best Vegan cupcakes I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back.

The owner and her Mum are super friendly, the cakes are incredibly tasty, you don't have to be seeking gluten free cakes, these are good for what they are.
