Gaucho at the O2 in Greenwich

Tables are very close together and unfortunately I heard more of the conversation of the table beside me than my partners! Service was very good. Pricey for what you get foodwise.

As usual Gaucho at O2 delivered an outstanding meal. The ribeye was so tasty Every mouthful was wonderful The only fownside was the chocolate brownie was tasteless but it took nothing away from the amazing steak.

Asked for mayonnaise twice, still waiting. 300g steak had 100g fat. Had to ask to go through to the table 3 times.

Very noisy and service a little slow. Potato sides lovely, but the steaks were VERY chewy. Won't be going back.

Thanks Kamil for the amazing service, really enjoyed everything and we’ll definitely be back. We did have a lot of food with starters, mains, sides and a dessert to share and definitely recommend the passion fruit mango dessert as it’s quite light and easy to eat after a hefty meal.

Excellent waitress, professional, knowledgeable and attentive. The steak all round was excellent and a nice bottle of Malbec too so considering its in the O2 with such a vast footfall we were all very pleased with the service from all the staff - well done and we will return when next at the arena

Love the brand, this beach fell short of what I’m used to Service was swift, 3 rib eye steaks all medium rare 2/3 were half well done/half medium rare The grill was clearly inconsistent The steaks looked great, but were covered in oil to make it look good, this was apparent in the taste Waiter said all the right things, very very rushed in what he was saying When they asked if everything was ok, there wasn’t much opportunity to give feedback at all He suggested the most expensive glass of red on the menu (I understand the concept of upselling) but there wasn’t much opportunity no context around why he suggested it This branch could do better with a little bit of effort I walked out thinking I over spent on a mediocre steak which I have never done at Gaucho before The Richmond branch is a tier above this one

I loved it!! I didn’t really enjoy the pasta as much as I thought I would BUT I’m not a cheese person so that’s probably why. It was my friend’s birthday and she got a cheesecake 🥹

My husband was very impressed with his steak, saying the best one he had ever had! The waiter was very good explaining the menu. Food arrived quickly. Have been here before with a friend it is a great restaurant and would go again.

My partner took me for a birthday meal it was a voucher that she’d bought on red letter days. Unfortunately the server had no idea of this and offered us the usual menu, after asking to let us know about any restrictions due to the voucher they exchanged our menu for what can only be described as a short pub food menu. We ordered, the starter came and it was wrong - however the steak tartare was very nice, then we had our mains, the sirloin steak was below average - the quality of a low grade super market steak, the chicken was nice. The deserts were absolutely terrible - bought in (commercial grade factory made) cake and another desert including strawberries squirty cream and some flakes of meringue. Who are they kidding?! This was appalling. We were then told by the waitress we had 10 minutes left on our table, so we asked for the bill which came incorrect, so we asked to remove the service charge, settled and left. 3rd time to gaucho, this follows another bad experience at their Richmond branch. Will Not be returning anymore - it has gone seriously downhill.

Visited Gaucho at The O2 for the experience as much as the food, and it delivered on both counts. The perfect starters of bread and Burrata salad were enjoyed. The 300g Ancho Ribeye was delicious, and the sides—mustard onions, Koffman chips, mac and cheese—complemented the meal perfectly. Paired with the Pot Vina Patricia, it was a treat. The cheesecake also lived up to the recommendation. Even the Eira Still water was outstanding. Service is generally good, but it can feel a bit casual at times, with a touch of awkwardness when reminding you about the time limit on your table. A bit more polish, maybe a script, in that area would go a long way. For atmosphere, the internal section of the restaurant has more energy, but sitting by the window overlooking The O2 gave us a quieter, more relaxed vibe. In short: the food never disappoints, but there’s room for improvement in service delivery, especially when it comes served on the bill at 13%.

Beautiful surroundings, however, service was slow despite only a small number of customers across the venue. Drinks were poorly poured also. Overall, it was a disappointing visit.

We visited this establishment prior to seeing Janet Jackson in September on a Sunday evening. Food was enjoyable, albeit somewhat overpriced. We would likely return again before a concert in the future.

Poor quality steaks, food luke warm, bread stale. Overpriced and not the high standard we have come to expect from Goucho. Lovely service.

We all came to Gaucho as part of the boxing at o2. Absolutely impressive food and service. Definitely coming back here

Such a wonderful experience here. Book a meal here for 4:30 before we came to a concert at the o2 later that day. It was a special occasion for us so on our booking I made a note that it was our anniversary and upon arrival they offered us complimentary champagne. We don’t drink so we had to return them but the gesture was lovely and the waiter understood. Our server showed us all the cuts of steak upon request with great recommendations on how to get them done and was happy to confirm which cuts of steak were halal on the day. We ordered the Fillet steak 225g, medium rare which I recommend and the rib eye steak 300g medium. We found the rib eye to be way too filling and slightly tough. If you want to go for rib eye we recommend ordering with and appetite and getting it rare or just opt for a wagyu steak instead. The only qualm I have is I wish they offered smaller cuts of steak, since everything we ordered was too much for us. Also wish the presentation of the steaks were done a bit better as opposed to just offered in the middle of a large empty plate. Regardless. the tasted good. For starters we ordered the bread and olives which we 100% recommend over any starter. Bread was so fresh and served with chimmichuri. The olives were large and juicy and also quite spicy too! Very flavourful. For sides with our steak we ordered the truffle mac and cheese, chips and mash. We shared these between two and it was more than enough food. We opted for bernaise sauce for our steaks which paired very well. we initially wanted confit mushrooms as a side and the peppercorn sauce but were told that both were made with wine, so be aware of that if you avoid alcohol. At the end we asked for our bill. Our server took quite a while to come back and we were getting a bit frustrated. However we realised that instead of coming back to charge us, he brought us a very large slice of cheese cake for us to celebrate our anniversary. Such an amazing gesture that we didn’t expect. The cake was delicious as well. It was comped on our bill but costs roughly £10-11 and I think it’s very much worth it bc of the generous portion size. I came with not very many expectations here but I ended up having a great experience that makes me want to come back here! Thoroughly recommend.

Definitely the best place to eat at the O2 fir steak

I was disappointed with our recent dining experience, particularly given the price point. Our group of five encountered several service issues that detracted from our meal. The server displayed a lack of attentiveness and professionalism, often reaching over us to serve rather than navigating around the table. Additionally, she gestured rudely for one of us to pass her a plate and did not check in on our satisfaction at any point during or after the meal. At one point, the server attempted to walk away while still taking our order, mistakenly assuming we had finished after just two of us had ordered. To add insult to injury, a £40 gratuity was automatically added to our bill, and when I requested its removal, she reacted negatively. While I am open to tipping for good service, I believe the decision should remain with the customer, especially given the poor experience we had. Regarding the food, we ordered the Gaucho Sampler (£130), but unfortunately, half of it had to be sent back due to incorrect cooking. While I understand that mistakes can happen, some cuts of steak resembled those typically found in a budget sandwich rather than the premium quality expected at this price. Overall, this experience fell short of expectations. When spending over £300, one anticipates both excellent service and high-quality food. Instead, we were met with lackluster service and average meals, compounded by an unsolicited gratuity. I hope these concerns are addressed to enhance future guests' experiences.

Went there last night, Saturday 07th September and the service was exceptional. From drinks in the bar downstairs, to dinner service upstairs. Our waiter, Bakar, was exceptional and the front of house staff brought up a mouse that my step-dad had left downstairs (Bluetooth of course) to us when we went up for food. Overall, I couldn’t fault my experience and it was worth every penny.

Great service, good and ambiance. Couldn’t fault it! Just wish the prices hadn’t gone up so much in recent years. Still a firm favourite.

Very expensive for what was average food. Steak was okay and there was blood on the plate when it was cut. That's a basic error. The restaurant was nice. Our server was very friendly. But you go for the food right? So we left disappointed and with a big dent in our bank balance.

The steaks were good. Server was very helpful and showed the cuts of meat and also advised on cook level.the ambience was not bad.

Located at the O2 arena, ground level. Delicious stakes, recommending rib eye cut as it is tender, juicy and flavourful. Cheesecake with dulce de leche is for sure recommended. Although recommended by staff, the watermeloen spritz was too sweet.

Dinned here today, they did mess up our order which was annoying as it meant one of us had to eat on their own as they recooked it all however! The customer service was great, they rectified it completely and also took some money off the bill. Really good customer service and food. Would 100% recommend.

Went here for my belated birthday celebration. An excellent meal. We booked for 7 but arrived early and easily accommodated. The staff were welcoming and attentive (I guess we were the only people there!) We had bread, chorizo steaks (as only halal option - but we didn't need to pre-book), confit mushrooms, mash and brocoli. The food was delicious. Our bread starter was interesting. Both hot and crusty. The chimichurri was OK. The brown roll was much better than the white. My steak was medium rare and perfect, my wife had medium and well cooked. She enjoyed it too. I did have the truffle and pepper butter which didn't add much but the peppercorn sauces was tasty. The food was excellent and we throughly enjoyed it. Drinks we are non alcoholic (still many options but not as expansive as they're tipples). The lemon mocktail was sharp and my punchy peach chai was mellow. For dessert we had the indulgent cheesecake and a fruity Eton mess. Both veery nice but for me the mess beat the cheesecake. Our server Luca was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable. A lovely dinner with a free dessert too for my birthday. Total bill~ £150 and a great experience for it.

I don't write reviews, but our experience here was exceptional. The atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent. We came in on our anniversary and had two different members of staff congratulate us. We were also presented with two complimentary drinks. We took quite a while to order but Adam was very patient and also helped us choose our main course by bringing various cuts of meat over to view first hand. His insight made it easier to choose. Every course was extremely tasty and well presented. I would be hard-pushed to fault anything about our evening. My only regret was that I had a brain blip and didn't tip enough. I hope to correct that next time we visit. A genuine 5-star experience.

Loved the service here food was delicious, ambiance was great. The only complaint i have is when ordering my food i choose a chimichurri sauce and i didn’t receive it with my food, it never came. Luckily i was able to take it off the bill with no problem. I would definitely be back.

Superb food and genuinely great service. Every time we have been to the O2 Gaucho everything has been fine.

I’ve been to Gaucho with my partner to celebrate his bday. The food was delicious, however there are two things that definitely made the experience a bit disappointing. First, I booked a table through The Fork app and a few days before, as I wanted to make sure we can have a candle on the dessert for my partner, I called the restaurant. They told me that in their system the booking was for a later on date, but fortunately they managed to “re-book” it for the date I originally booked. I’ve also asked about having a candle and they told me that they took notes and to not worry. Secondly, the day of the reservation, I checked once again with them which dessert to order to make sure it has an happy birthday and a candle and they assured me that it’s all good. When the dessert came, they told us they didn’t have any spare candles. We improvised something and my partner was very happy (also the cake was very good), however I felt they over promised unfortunately. Not the service I would have expected for the kind brand they promote. Probably if you’ll think to celebrate a birthday there, make sure you bring your own candle!

Staff were excellent, welcoming, attentive, engaging and clearly wanted to assist wherever possible. Food was superbly cooked and well presented there was also ample choice available. Whilst the environment was pleasing there are a couple of things to look out for, do not be seated where there is a lot of through traffic, nor under an air conditioning fan, these were the only potential negatives which were resolved in minutes. Worth a visit.

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here! Lovely food and service, they even gave us a free glass of champagne to celebrate.

Gaucho in the 02 is really a very great place to have a meal for any occasion.

The starters were good but Part of the meat was chewy , if it was my first time at this chain I wouldn’t come back.

Fantastic meal at the 02 as always ! Lovely cocktails , food was outstanding , and Loris our server was ever so attentive making sure we had a fantastic time.

This is my go to restaurant before a concert at the O2. It never fails to disappoint. The only slight drawback was that we did feel a bit rushed to place orders. That said, would definitely go again.

Amazing experience tonight. The whole team were great as we were running late with the traffic but they kept our table open and ready for us. Very busy so a little noisy upstairs it had another amazing steak dinner and treated very well! Thank you all

I took my family for the Father’s Day & the whole experience was totally horrible. I dined at this branch before & it was known for the brilliant food quality before. This time despite waiting for more than an hour for our mean course, the steaks bone dried & tasteless. I think the concept here was to collect money from customers & not bothered of what was served..Never again will dine there!!!!

Initially, the service was polite and efficient. Drinks arrived quickly, and the watermelon cocktail was so good we ordered another round. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came out grey and closer to medium well, and it hadn't been properly rested. My partner's sea bass was also underseasoned and bland. We requested ketchup for the fries (which tasted like oven fries) and some salt. However, 30 minutes after our main dishes arrived, no one had come to our table, and we still hadn’t received our extra drinks, one of our side dishes, or the ketchup and salt. When our server finally returned, I showed him the steak, and he agreed it was overcooked. To be fair, they did offer to cook another, but I couldn't wait, so they reduced the cost of the steak by 50%. Overall, it was a poor experience, and I will be avoiding Gaucho in the future.

Having dined at various gaucho restaurants in the past and absolutely loved the experience we were disappointed on this occasion as our steak was not cooked how we asked when ordering and also very chewy and difficult to cut. We left over half of it. Although the drinks, bread, starters, sides and desserts were of the expected standard we notified the waiter about the steak and he offered another steak but as we were limited on time due to a music event at the 02 we declined. The steak was removed from the bill and the waiter apologised for the error from the kitchen. We all have bad days at work now and then so we appreciated the apology and removing the steak from the bill. Cant fault the waiter about how he dealt with the issue or the service in general. We have booked again for another pre show meal and hope that the standards are back to what we know and love about their restaurants.

My son’s favourite restaurant, we received an amazing service yesterday, the server is super professional and keen to details, however all staff are so nice.

Portion sizes are small, very expensive for what it was, quality of food poor, staff were polite but failed in attention to detail, got order wrong several times, bill was incorrect. We were by the kitchen area where all the staff congregated, and seemed disorganised and were showing signs of frustrations amount themselves, making our meal experience unpleasant.

The restaurant at The O2 is lovely, nicely decorated and a great atmosphere. All of the staff we encountered were happy and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, the steaks were cooked as requested and the sides were delicious.

Tried the gaucho platter and i prefer the lomo and picanha cuts. Tasty argentinian steak. The sides were really good as well. We got the spinach, mushroom and brocolli. Butterfly prawns were really good and had a bit of a soicy kick to it. The recommended villa patricia malbec perfectly fits with the meal.

I love this place, honestly the best stake in London, but it's not cheap, lol the stake platter is a must!! has all the best cuts and cooked perfectly. I wish they had a Tomahawk stake , but the beef tartar was amazing 👏

Popped in before a show and we were very hungry, being a steak lover and having gone to gauchos in Leicester Square decided to try this one out. The restaurant was fairly empty but it was early in the day so we were seated very quickly. The atmosphere was really nice and the decor in the restaurant was really good. I found the staff to be very friendly and attentive and the service was exceptional as well. The food itself was great. The steak was really juicy and tasty as were the accompanying sources. My wife opted for the aubergine as she’s not a massive meat lover and she really found it to be tasty as well, sides were decent, I have had better but they complimented the mains very well. The one critique I will have is on the two persons table. The chair is pretty uncomfortable. I had to sit on the sofa next to my wife after I ate. All in all I had a great experience.

Had cocktails here on Friday lunchtime, delicious but the banana one was strong. We were the first customers of the day so was very quiet, service was very good.

Another visit to Gaucho at the O2 and my wife and I left very happy again. Food was superb, service excellent. Back in November!!

Fast and professional. I went here with some friends in the winter the food was delicious and I didn’t have to send it back for the meat to be cooked well done how I usually prefer.👌

The steak was nice and the truffle Mac n cheese was good but the prawns were dry, so they were hard to get out of the shell, they were stuck to the shell so only tiny bits came out instead of a nice easy peel.

A lovely enjoyable evening. Was nice and quiet. Food was delicious and service helpful and attentive. I couldn’t fault anything. Salmon tacos starter, perfect ribeye then cookie dough dessert accompanied by a good wine recommendation. Thank you !

This is one of the most expensive dining options in the Arena but justifiably so, with it providing an exceptional steak one weekend lunchtime. The place is truly huge, with a large number of tables across multiple floors. The greeting from staff was superb and gave a really high end feel, with our table being located on a small balcony overlooking the main Arena entrance. This was a lot quieter and relaxed than inside the main dining area and worked really well. Everywhere was spotlessly clean including the toilets and the decor lovely. As per the usual Gaucho experience you’re offered to view the meat board and the staff are very knowledgeable about the menu. Wine options by carafe is a good touch and there’s some very nice cocktails. Our starters of empanadas were served too quickly in all honesty, arriving before the drinks, but they were delicious. I ordered the fillet steak medium-rare and it was cooked to perfection, along with each of the sides being spot on too with the portion sizes of each great. Desert was no less enjoyable and rounded everything off perfectly. It’s far from a cheap option but for a more special occasion you won’t be disappointed and I will certainly be returning.

I’ve visited Gaucho several times for special occasions and have generally been happy with the food and the service received. This last visit was a massive letdown. We booked a table ahead of time and indicated we would like a table to accommodate a pram but this seems to have been either missed or ignored, as we were put in the middle of a busy section with no space. After being relocated and ordering our food, I was served with frozen toppings for my steak, and my wife’s steak was underdone. The fries were limp and lifeless and the salad did not taste very fresh. The restaurant was very busy, as I understand there was a concert happening that day, but I was left very disappointed in my experience. As our baby was kicking up a fuss I didn’t get the chance to address this with the Manager directly, but I hope he will see this review.

An excellent all round meal. Got a lovely table in the corner overlooking the entrance . The service was excellent, informed and attentive. The food came quickly and all the dishes were of a very high standard. Would definitely recommend and go again.

As always the food and service was first class. Always book a table here when at the O2. A party of four with the set lunch menu. Having looked at the bill ( the next day) was a bit puzzled to see we were charged for two portion of chips totally £12. Was on the impression that the Classic Burger came with chips within the set price , so therefore should have only been charged for one portion. This I know should have been spotted when the bill was received and could have been resolved at the time. Thank you

All steaks I of a top quality & beautifully cooked, hand cut chips an absolute must, peppercorn sauce enough for two (only order one between two) shared green salad & fabulous heritage tomato salad - delicious No puddings a just a sensational Irish coffee each - yummy!!

Lovely food but don’t sit at the table by the door on the first floor. It is freezing as door to outside continually opens. We mentioned it to the waiter and people who showed us to the table but we were dismissed as restaurant full. The food and service are great but it is too expensive to feel frozen through your meal.

Have visited this restaurant on quite a few occasions when seeing a show and I have never failed to enjoy it. We've only ever eaten the steak as a main course, but it has always been devine and cooked to perfection. This time I had the sea bass ceviche as a starter. Very yummy. The wine waiter was really knowledgeable about the wines and helped us to pick a couple of reds which we enjoyed. Why didn't I give it 5 stars - I guess it's because it is at the top of my price range so would love it to be slightly cheaper. I guess then though perhaps it wouldn't be so great.

A lovely meal, very busy and packed in tables but that owes to the nature of the location and concerts/events. Service was good, food delicious. Would recommend and visit again!
