Thai Style in Calderdale

We have eaten here 5 times in total and we have never been disappointed once. Great food and great atmosphere.

Is it closed permanently? Came by here on a saturday night and it was closed with no reason why and couldn't find anything online either

Absolutely disgusting should be shut down ! I was charged £21 for a portion of jasmine rice . I ordered a takeout Thai green curry large combo meal with jasmine rice . I then paid an extra £2 for a bag of white prawn crackers . All that came was a tiny brown bag with a box of jasmine rice. It’s totally unacceptable to take someone’s hard earned money and not deliver the food they have paid for . I rang the restaurant straight away they refused to help me kept laughing and talking In the background passing me through to different people . I’ve never experienced anything like it .

Authentic Thai food, lovely ambience, nice cocktails shame we missed happy hour, staff were wonderful and great deal with mearkat discount ! Well done and hope to see you next Xmas market visit.

I really do think this is as good as Thai food gets - and I have tried hundreds of Thai restaurants. Having never been to Thailand myself I am reliably informed by people that have been that this is perfectly authentic. Added bonus that all the staff are absolutely lovely

Distinctly rather disappointing average food. Had heard and read good things about this place however my takeaway was the blandest Thai food I have ever had.

We ordered a takeaway - got home to find we’d been given chicken instead of tofu, had some unhappy vegetarians but the food we could actually eat was nice

Absolutely beautiful food. I love the Larb gai here. Every time I order it I forget the amount of spice the chef gets out of those little chillies. 5 star all day and twice on Sundays.

The best Thai food in the UK. The best food with the most amazing and tentative staff. Would recommend everyone to try Thai Style restaurant for themselves and see. Mark and Nannie were so friendly. Couldn't do enough for us. Thanks once again.

Brilliant night out, service was spot on and food was very tasty. We had 3 kids with us and they loved it also. Nice area with sofa's where they could chill out. Peacefull relaxed atmosphere. Thankyou

However, every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations and left us wanting more. We would highly recommend this lovely restaurant- as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcome, a really colourful environment with real plants, calm music and helpful staff. The food was delicious and I ate from the Vegan menu which had the best tofu ever! Thank you 🙏

Fist time at Thai style definitely won’t be the last time we visit. Food was amazing, staff so welcoming and friendly. Don’t be put off by the outside, The decor inside is really lovely.

The food is delicious. However, expensive for the portion sizes you receive for example chips are £3 there is only enough for 1 person (so please don't think they're to share) curry dishes are also very small not enough to split between 2 people as we normally do with Thai takeouts

The building is a bit intimidating from the outside but it is absolutely beautiful as soon as you step through the door. It's like stepping into another world: the decor is wonderful. And the food is delicious.

My partner and I ate at Thai Style last night and were really impressed with the food and friendly staff. Lovely restaurant in Halifax and I would highly recommend enjoying a meal there. If we’re back in town, we will definitely visit again. Thanks Thai Style!

We went for our grandson's birthday The food was excellent with a very wide choice. The staff were very helpful and efficient.

Don't be fooled by the outside, this place is a real gem. So pretty on the inside with all the plants and parasols. Shame they have changed the sweetcorn cakes though, hope they go back to the old way.

I love this restaurant. The food is always wonderful and the atmosphere is really pleasant. A lovely way to spend a couple of hours in charming surroundings with lovely food and efficient service. Highly recommend. It doesn't look much from outside but step inside and it'll surprise.

Food was absolutely delicious 😋 the service could be a little better, asked for a jug of water and waited a long time for it to arrive. To be fair we were a large party and the restaurant was busy, but it just let the service rating down slightly

Always the same 5🌟 food, delicious & fresh

Hands down one of the best thai restaurants I have been. The atmosphere was giving authentic. The food was unbelievably good. The staff was very friendly and nice, the food came out on time. The portions were just right, the food was very delicious and the price was just right. Can't wait to visit again.

This is our second visit to this establishment for my 55th birthday on this occasion. the service is excellent , very attentive staff. The Food is superb and the menu is extensive and in such beautiful surroundings, and most of all it’s not lit up like an operating theatre and impersonal like most of the restaurants are nowadays it’s a lovely subdued setting. Absolutely delightful fragrant delicious food and the price list excellent!! 🥰We’ll most certainly be back thank you 😊

I have been going to Thai Style for many years and I have always been happy with the food and service. They are very accommodating of my dietary needs and the food has been consistently good in all the time I have been going. I usually get takeaway but also visit the restaurant on occasion and I am always happy with the experience. I have tried practically all the Thai places in Halifax and Thai Style has been the best, hands down.

We didn't make the best choice of food, but it was okay. It's clearly a converted 60s/70s pub but so what? The waitress was very helpful and friendly, for a first visit on a quiet Monday evening it was pretty good.

Quite literally my favourite restaurant near where I live, staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and the atmosphere is always pleasant! The food is amazing, I have had Thai cuisine before but it has not matched the quality of this food or the price. Overall amazing restaurant and I would highly recommended to anyone thinking of attending!

Excellent food and service. Lots of Thai people eat here which is a good indication of how good the food is. Very colourful and interesting restaurant. Thai Style now has a bar / lounge underneath with draught beer and lots of interesting cocktails. Highly recommended 😊. Unfortunately the bar has now closed but is available to book for private parties. The restaurant was very busy on our most recent visit which is lovely to see how well Thai Style is doing. My favourite place to go for Thai food. Nowhere in Halifax compares. The food is amazing but the service is even better (highly recommend masaman curry). All the staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. Since the bar has opened downstairs (our lounge) the drinks menu has expanded and the cocktails are amazing. White beach cocktail is definitely one to try. Last week I booked a private staff party for my team at ourlounge and it was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for Nannie and Jason. I've organised parties at other bigger venues in the past and none have matched the level of service we received at ourlounge on the night. It's a lovely place for an intimate private event away from the hustle of the town centre. Would highly recommend both the restaurant and bar to anyone wanting to try somewhere different. Always nice food, quiet at lunch time, so probably don't need to book. I've been going here for some years. Today I tried something different, massaman curry and stir fried noodles, omg, perfect. I will definitely get again. Such quick service, gorgeous flavours and very reasonable prices. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you. Fabulous place. I definitely recommend you try.

I love this place, I’ve been twice now for lunch in between my jobs. The outside is rather plane and I drove past it at first by accident but the inside is beautiful 🤩 gorgeous Thai decor and loads of pretty plants. Lovely staff, yummy food that was served really quick, amazing prices and best of all - decent vegan options!

Thai style is a wonderful restaurant situated at the bottom of pellon lane. The owners Sam and nattaya(sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) are wonderful people and amazing chefs. Though the menu is large each dish is cooked with care at a speedy pace. Intensely flavoured and at a spice level you can manage. The restaurant is well decorated and clean throughout having seen the kitchen and bar. Got a good selection of wines, whiskeys and beers to pair with your food. The staff are clean and well mannered willing to aid you with all your queries and go the extra mile to ensure that you are comfortable. I could go on forever about this restaurant but to cut long story short this is the place to be. Edit: Don't forget to check out "our lounge" downstairs for unique, creative and delicious cocktails wether you are sat in the corner by the fireplace or engaging in a great conversation with the staff

Don't worry about thr classic 70's exterior. The food was great with there own , home grown spice and herbs to flavour the food. Goid value as well.

"Hidden gem" is an overused cliché in the review world, but this really is a great example of "don't judge a book by it's cover". The exterior isn't particularly visually appealing, but the authentic food, interior decor and service is fantastic. My Thai curry was as authentic as I'd expect to get at a street food stall in Bangkok - and the owner was really attentive and keen to ensure that we had a great experience. By far the best Thai in Halifax - would definitely return and recommend.

Staff were fantastic, food delicious and we went with 6 kids who had not been out or seen each other for a long time (chaos) and they offered to put disney+ on for them as was a quiet Thursday thanks for a lovely 40th birthday!!

I have only used for take aways but absolutely delicious every time we go. Very clean and tidy and very safe for people using the restaurant. Its a fair distance from where I live but worth the travel every time. Highly recvomended

Took way too long to serve food

Gave this place the benefit of the doubt given the large number of good reviews. Seriously questioning the authenticity of some of the reviews on here. We went Saturday night and the place was dead with only 2 tables occupied. I was served a warm coke with no ice in a glass from the 70's. The starters were miserable and grey; wet soggy grey tasteless ribs, beige 'stuffed' chicken wings that were tasteless and cold... We're on the cusp of leaving when the mains arrived. They messed up my brothers rice and his duck looked like a fruit salad with grey meat on it. My noodles had 4 prawns on and tasted only of grease. We're asked how it was; told them and they just said "it's not usually like that". Really wish we'd been to one of the two ram packed Thai restaurants over the road. Really depressing end to an otherwise excellent evening :(
