Good fish and chips with good service well worth a visit to sit outside and enjoy the view. Batter was crisp and not greasy and the fish taster fresh. Enjoyable meal.
Having given up on the disaster that is the Windsor Farm Cafe, I was desperate for somewhere to get a decent brunch. This place is lovely. Spotlessly clean, including the very important loos, really delightful staff and excellent food. I had great coffee and a sausage baguette which would have fed two. (I ate the whole thing.)
So, if you want a proper cafe, not an overpriced tourist trap with stale food, this is it. Highly recommended. I told one of the staff I'd leave a review, and bless her, she said never mind that, just come back! I'll absolutely do that.
We hired these guys to do our wedding breakfast. We had a New York theme and wanted to have a relaxed day with nothing too fancy so we decided on pizza. Heard great reviews so went ahead. The weather was beyond awful and the team struggled to cope. I was always worried it would rain and reassured they would set up the tent as close to the marquee as possible so the guests wouldn’t get wet. They couldn’t set up the tent because of the wind, something that hadn’t been considered. Overall they tried hard with the pizzas, cooking them then running them into the marquee but it was a shambles and people waited ages for pizza. In the meantime they ran out of side salads when we were only halfway through serving. I had ordered salads for 80 and was reassured it was enough food. We had 70 guests and still ran out only feed half of them. Embarrassing to say the least. We had to ask our evening caters to start serving early! When I wrote to them after the wedding to say thank you but i was disappointed I was simply told the guests eat too much not leaving enough for others.
Always nice to visit JoJo's, welcomes you with a smile and her food is out of this world. I can never decide what to have but I have never been disappointed. Had lots of meals delivered during the pandemic, JoJo went above and beyond.!
So accommodating for not just for dietary requirements but also for preferences.
20/10. Will be coming back and telling everyone how wonderful it was.
We’ve known about this place for a few years but only tried it today. I don’t know why we waited so long!
We ordered 2 pizzas and they were spectacular. Lots of flavour and definitely worth a visit.
We will return when we’re next in the area!
Cosy little tea room tucked away in a lovely village close to the A303 under Ham Hill.
Great selection of teas as well as home made cakes. Today's pick - Lemon drizzle, banana and brown butter sponge, Victoria sponge and my choice Orange and Polenta cake. Delicious
And whilst you tuck away there's 1940's tunes playing in the background. Well worth a stopover.
What a lovely surprise this place was. Stylish decor, excellent drinks and cocktails, knowledgeable and friendly staff and great food. Wouldn't be out of place in the posher areas of London.
It was rather noisy when I attended due to some boisterous guests, but they were clearly very happy too!
Well worth a visit if you want something a bit more special than a pub or regular restaurant.
Cooking class at Megafauna in Southport was so amazing!!! We did vegan basics and was so impressed, was really special experience, did loads of stuff and got lunch and food to take away with us. Ben is brilliant!
Nicely tucked away down a little alleyway is this little coffee shop.
I just had a latte with some salted caramel cake and for my wife who is Coeliac they had a Gluten Free treacle sponge and custard which she assured me was delicious, and she washed it down with a latte also. The place was clean and staff were friendly. Access could be an issue for some as it was on the 1st floor accessed by some fairly steep stairs but overall a nice experience
