The Pizza Box in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We’ve known about this place for a few years but only tried it today. I don’t know why we waited so long! We ordered 2 pizzas and they were spectacular. Lots of flavour and definitely worth a visit. We will return when we’re next in the area!

Pizza box did not disappoint! After missing out ordering when we were here in July last year we ordered at 5 and they were ready by 5.15. Absolutely stunning pizzas and friendly owner.

The pizza here is absolutely fantastic. Flavour combinations are unique and everything is local and home made. The only gripe I have is I must have driven here on my way home five times in the last few months when their opening hours say they are open, only for them not to actually be open. Definitely phone in advance to check otherwise you'll be disappointed.

Wow, at last we have found a fab pizza place, cheapest we have found in the last 2 weeks. Real quality toppings and a lot of it on a great base. My Ham & Mushroom pizza (with lots of chunks of ham and proper decent fresh mushrooms) was delicious and only £11 and husband loved his Pepperoni one. Chap was very busy with a constant stream of customers but he was friendly and efficient. We are back again in July and will be sure to pay another visit for some more delicious pizzas. Easy parking is another bonus. Well done, keep up the good work.

Would give 6 stars if could. This pizza was honestly the best me and my partner have ever had…..Rang at 18:50 was greeted by a friendly bloke who said the pizzas would be ready at 19:15 and they were ready bang on then. The price of the pizzas were very well priced if anything he should be charging more! Very very happy with our experience and will definitely be visiting again next year when we come on our jollies to Cornwall again. Thank you.

Struggling to find any food places due to places closing due to isolation so this was a gem of a find . Ordering easy ready slap bang on time and the pizzas were excellent and really good quality. Always happy to support local businesses and this is an excellent place

What a nice guy and really good pizza. We ordered the sausage feast, Hawaiian and 2 pepperoni, they were so tasty. Freshly cooked to order, easy pick up and payment. We wouldn't hesitate to order again. Highly recommend.

We ordered take away pizzas for us and the kids and they were exceptional! Gorgeous thick doughy base and toppings packed with flavour. Well done pizza box. Super tasty. Just wish we lived closer!!

Terrible. Ordered two vegetarian pizzas at 6.35 and was told to arrive at 6.50. We did. As we walked in we were handed two boxes without asking who we were and we paid. Great - this seemed very simple. However, as we got home we opened the boxes in excitement and were met with a meat pizza. Not what we ordered and we can’t eat them as we’re both vegetarian. We called the owner thinking it must have been a simple mistake and he said he couldn’t do anything as “he was leaving in 20 minutes”. Didn’t seem to care. No offer for refund. No offer for a new pizza. No sympathy. Nothing. Frankly it’s poor on every front. I’d understand from a chain like dominos but for a single person in a tiny store who relies on word of mouth, more fool them. Next time, it would be quicker for me to burn £20 without leaving the house.

We had read a few reviews online, so thought we'd give it a go as we both love pizza. It DEFINITELY did not disappoint.We were greeted by a really friendly chatty guy who promptly told us that he'd completely run out of chicken as it had been so popular that evening. He was happy to do an alternative though.The pizza was cooked perfectly and tasted great.If you are ever in or near Newquay, we highly recommend this place

Tried The Pizza Box last night.Didnt pre order and was told 30 wait but it was so worth it. Pizzas were 12” and the toppings were just right.Good price for exceptional quality food.

Popped to this place as we are camping and needed a quick fix for tea. Saw the signs by Morrison's and read the reviews so decided to give it a try! Wow! What a stunning pizza. We had the chicken and chorizo. Meat was cooked just right, the base was soft and light. The place smelled amazing and the guy serving was really friendly. Going back for more before we leave Cornwall. No picture as the pizza was too good to wait to eat!

These are hands down the best pizzas ever. Everything is homemade. We had the mango and chicken pizza which was unbelievable! Definitely a must place to eat if you are in newquay

Take out menu and order - super quick and varied menu .. good fresh toppings on a medium base that was as good as they come

Whenever we're on holiday in Cornwall we HAVE to have one of these pizzas! Delicious pizza and great service from the chef. Can't fault anything. It's my husbands favourite takeaway. Just wish we had one at home so it wasn't a once a year visit!

I usually order from the chain pizza restaurants.I chose this little pizza place from the reviews on trip advisor.I ordered the sausage feast pizza, chicken mango pizza, cheesy garlic bread and the no diary coleslaw.Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing I won’t be ordering from a chain againI would highly recommend this little takeaway The service was excellent as well Thank you

This is truly a hidden gem, I have been here a few times and each time I been blown away by the quality of there Pizza.

Grabbed a couple of pizzas and ate over at little fistral. Pizza was great, dough was pefect and cooked well. Staff friendly, all around nice vibe.

Superb freshly made pizzas on the edge of town. Owner/chef is great and quick to prepare. Only thing is you have to pay in cash (did when we were last there). Not a problem, nearest cash point is morrissons. Just past Screwfix on the industrial estate. Support local business, no idea why you would pay more for a lesser product in somewhere like Dominos.

Yeah, same as all the other reviews. The pizza is seriously good from here and definitely worth trying out! Beats dominos by a country mile

Best pizza takeaway ever! Gorgeous fresh pizzas. I had the sausage feast and chorizo was delicious. The owner was so friendly. We also purchased their own made garlic oil which was lovely. Will definitely be back. Just remember cash only!

this place is cash only and takeaway only and can be hard to find. Best way is to take directions for screwfix and just continue on a bit. Pizzas were outstanding

Visited here for the first time over the weekend and I'm already obsessing over my next visit. The pizza really is amazing. I had the Sausage feast and tried a slice of my Wife's Hawaiian and it is definitely some of the best pizza I've ever had (and I've been to New York, Chicago and Italy).

Found the pizza box on the last night of our holiday, the pizzas are amazing, the owner smokes his own garlic and chicken, the bases are also home made and really fresh. We will be back next time we are in the area, this place is fantastic.

This is our first visit here, I can't believe it has taken so long for us to have one of these pizzas (our loss). Really tasty, great portion size. The chocolate mud cake is to die for. All in all great value for money plus run by a lovely guy..what's not to like!

Visited The Pizza Box a couple of months ago and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! The pizza dough was flavoursome, well cooked, crusty yet pilllowy and the toppings plentiful. I had the Mango & Scotch Bonnet Chicken which was a stunning combination. The peanut butter brownie dessert was exceptional also.
