Megafauna Vegan Catering in Sefton

What a lovely little place! I cannot fault the service and the lovely staff members here! I am not vegan personally but the food and drinks were delicious! I wouldn’t have known any different until I realised every food and drink item was vegan! Definitely be travelling to Southport again to have my lunch here!

What a hidden gem! Visiting Southport & found this vegan cafe on Google Maps. Great vegan food (I was with a meat eater who thoroughly enjoyed) and friendly local service. Will definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Such a gem of a place for vegan and GF food. We ordered a mega breakfast and breakfast omelette - OMG both were delicious. The omelette was light and fluffy, and the mega breakfast delivered on all levels. Hot chocolate was really good as was the coffee. The staff were really friendly and accommodating - brought water and some vegan dog treats for our trio of dogs. We bought some cake to take out - need to walk off the breakfasts before we tackle it! Such a great experience and the only downside is that we live over 200 miles away so can't make this a regular haunt!

I am not vegan but like to eat healthily . We had a delicious falafel salad, which was fresh, colourful and great value for the portion size. Ordered chips and these were scrumptious skin on fries with the best vegan mayo I have had. Super lovely attentive staff and the tumeric late is soo tasty too. Do make the effort to find this little friendly gem!

Called in today for lunch. Food was amazing. Lots of choice on the menu and cake was great. Staff were very helpful and loveky atmosphere inside.

Tasty food good enough to appease vegans and carnivores alike, with really friendly staff. It's the perfect little pit-stop for lunch; you'll find it in the Cambridge Arcade. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Great little vegan cafe that has moved around the corner from Wesley Street. The cooked breakfast had lovely sourdough toast, tasty scrambled tofu and the usual extras. The cafe has quite a wide range of breakfast and lunch options and service was quick and friendly.

I didn't like this place. Very limited drinks option and the sandwich was served with hard, stale bread and tasteless content. Maybe I'm missing something in the concept but I wouldn't return.

The atmosphere and food here is lovely. Great selection of vegan options and all very reasonably priced. I like the fact the whole place is fully vegan so you know there is no cross contamination and it is great to support a fully independent vegan cafe! Will return :)

Southport is hiding the best kept secret - spread the word... it's Megafauna. A plant based cafe/ catering/ takeaway gem in the heart of the town. Lots of choice, fab service, warm welcome. The only downside... is the building is too small. The best cafe in Southport needs more space! (Relocate to a spacious place on Lord street and rock your vegan delights big time!)

Was lucky enough to visit for my birthday with family and was welcomed heartedly. We had soup, salad and pastie. All delicious and obviously made with love. Cake for dessert was festive, moist and super tasty. A very welcome relief from lockdown. Thank you so much, what a treat!

Popped in for a bite to eat at lunchtime whilst visiting Southport. Had a cracking bowl of vegan scouse. Very friendly. Highly recommended and would definitely return 👍

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Southport. The food is nothing short of exceptional. The pasties especially are delicious and the (forever changing) salads.

Wished we had found this place before eating in a high street veganuary scam. But I had a fabulous soup which was a very generous portion served with some toasted bread, it was bloody lovely. Great range of other food on offer and would go back to Southport just to visit here again. Well recommend

Thrilled to find this wonderful cafe when shopping in Southport with my vegan daughter today. Delicious food, great value for money and excellent service. We’ll be back!

So loved my visit today. Sat for hour and half enjoying slow food. Such a choice of milks, coffee, teas and cakes Loved my salad and sandwich Pleased this “cafe” ? Had a real community feel.

Ordered frittata and salad, super tasty, great portion size and fantastic value for money. Calm feel good atmosphere. Would definitely visit again! ❤️

So lucky to have the chef and venue so near to the station. Fresh salads, flans, sandwiches or soup...and delicious choice of cakes. Leaf tea too. A comfortable, friendly, nourishing place to be. Highly recommended.

Relaxed friendly atmosphere. I worked from my laptop there peacefully and had a delicious vegan lunch. Healthy and yummy. Really nice atmosphere.

My favourite place to eat in Southport, tucked away among all the independent shops in Wesley Street.The food is delicious, seasonal, and fresh. You can have a really healthy lunch, or tuck into a slice of cake, a scone, rocky road or a brownie. The vegan baking is bang on - you'd never suspect you weren't eating something made with more traditional ingredients. The coffee is good, too. I often buy something extra to take home for tea because I'm spoiled for choice.It's a dinky little place, with a friendly atmosphere and fantastic staff. Sometimes exclusively vegan places can feel a bit worthy or old fashioned in their outlook, but Megafauna is a breath of fresh air.

Had a delicious lunch, a selection fresh salads and vegan mac n cheese pasty, so tasty. Place is small but welcoming and staff were great. Meal very filling so bought cakes and scones to take home, couldn't resist as they looked so good. Cakes were wheat free which meant my sister could take some home to enjoy later too, it is rare that she can indulge. Will defiantly be back with my faithful pooch as they are dog friendly too

Exceptional food served by food enthusiasts. I find myself trying dishes I didn't even know existed and experiencing flavours I haven't tried before. The food is truly magnificent.

Came with my husband for lunch. We both had pea shoot toastie and a mushroom toastie both with melted vegan cheese which was gorgeous. We asked for a bit of everything salad wise and couldn’t believe the variety and generous amount! Quinoa and pasta was a nice surprise.

I visit Megafauna whenever I possibly can and I am never, ever disappointed with the choices of good, wholesome, nutritious food. How on earth they manage to whip up such tasty, yummy treats I will never know.

Love this place. Always salads, soups, toastier and flans.
