Meanwhile Bar in Northampton

What a lovely surprise this place was. Stylish decor, excellent drinks and cocktails, knowledgeable and friendly staff and great food. Wouldn't be out of place in the posher areas of London. It was rather noisy when I attended due to some boisterous guests, but they were clearly very happy too! Well worth a visit if you want something a bit more special than a pub or regular restaurant.

Its been ages since we have been to the Meanwhile Bar, before Covid infact. but we dropped by for a quick cocktail on the way home from work on Friday night, but was so welcoming and relaxing along with superbly made cocktails that we didn't leave until after 10pm and 4 cocktails each and a cheeseboard later!. realy really nice place, would recommend to anyone, as i say the cocktails were amazing - no watered down nonesense here. we'll be going back again in a couple of weeks :)

Wow ! all I can say really friendly greeting by staff they are all really friendly a very personal feeling they make you feel all the attention is on you Cocktails are really high quality made, all the love really went into them Food was amazing on point I found my self making that enjoyable noice as eating mmmmm lol and well what can I say the dessert was the best cheese cake I’ve eaten superb all rounder definitely a place I will be visiting over and over again introducing all my friends and family to thank you to all the staff there you made my night xx

Visited this restaurant and cocktail bar for the first time. Went for cocktails but stayed for food and more cocktails. Such a relaxed, non-pushy atmosphere. Would be great for a special date night or just pop in for cocktails. Watching the mixologist do his thing is entertainment in itself. Highly recommended and thank you to the staff for an enjoyable evening

Best place in town for great food and nice cocktails. Definitely would recommend. We had a lovely evening. We will be back!

Our first visit last night after a recommendation and have to say what a great place!! Highly recommend a visit is a real gem along the Wellingborough road with friendly and welcoming staff. A Cool chilled vibe and fantastic cocktails made by mixologist Simmion delicious pornstar martinis, salted caramel expresso martini to name just a couple. They also serve food which looked amazing so hope to be back for food/cocktails soon especially as they have 25% off food Monday to Thursday evenings such a great deal.

Amazing staff, so friendly and laid back. Food and drinks were on point absolutely 0 complaints apart from the effects of COVID hitting this business hard. This diamond in the rough. 11/10 will recommend to everyone for any occasion.

We thought we'd give it a try, phoned and booked for 7pm. Arrived to a pleasant enough bar, 3 booths/tables occupied by a total of 6 other people. The waitress/bar-person was well aware we were there yet despite asking twice no drinks order was taken, too busy making cocktails for 2 other people... Eventually placed the order (bottle of wine and a small beer). Several minutes later still nothing so my partner asked what was going on. She received an apology and returned to our table. A few minutes later the waitress was seen mixing another cocktail, no sign of our drinks (how long does a bottle of wine and a small beer take to organize/deliver....). Gave up and left.....

I would highly recommend this place for cocktails. Staff was really friendly. Great place if you like a more relaxed atmosphere.

We had a Christmas Party at this place and it was great. We have ordered pinchos buffet for 25 people and everything was fresh and tasty. Amazing mix of tastes and it can be found nowhere else in Northampton. Our favorite ones are pinchos with king prawn, chorizo and smoked paprika mayo and mango chutney, camambert and grilled pepper. We ordered almost all cocktails from their regular and Espresso Martini menu and it was such a perfect balance between taste of alcohol and all other ingredients. Thank you for our amazing Christmas party and we will be back soon :) Btw we have been given 15% off for all extra drinks as a special party offer and it was the best party offer in town.

This bar has a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for a drink or a casual meal at a good price. I'm lucky enough to live very close to Meanwhile bar and we've been visiting regularly since it first opened. The staff is fantastic too, always on the move and always friendly.

This is the third time I have been here, the cocktails are amazing and the service is great. Give it a visit as it is never really busy and I have no idea why! Try it before it disappears

We came here for drinks on Saturday evening. Fabulous surroundings. Great service with a smile, Cocktails were made with passion. It was a great way to end the evening and a great place to end it in.We would definitely visit again and hopefully soon.

My husband and I hosted a christmas evening with friends and wanted to take it away from our house. I booked Meanwhile for 20 people as a meeting point for drinks and canapes. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The finger buffet/canapes were amazing and presented beautifully at a reasonable price per head as were the cocktails. If you want a cosy intimate meeting point that's not booming with noise and packed then this is an ideal venue.

We stumbled across this little bar after vacating a very noisy Welly Road pub and I’m very pleased we did.The barman was super friendly and could not have been more helpful with his cocktail advice.They have a large cocktail menu and even a separate menu for Espresso Martinis, I was in heaven!!All our drinks were fabulous, ask for a Charlie Chaplin if you like Sloe Gin (it’s not on the menu). If you enjoy good cocktails and being able to hear the chats with your friends this place is for you.I can’t wait to go back and try some more cocktail creations!

Meanwhile bar is truly a hidden gem, lovely atmosphere and a great selection of cocktails. I’ve visited the bar on many occasions and always had a great night. Especially the live music nights, ahh they’re are awesome. 🔥👌🏻😍🥂

Been a few times and always great drinks, friendly atmosphere and good value. A bit out of the centre but well worth it.

My first visit to Meanwhile last year completely blew me away with the choice of cocktails and food. We were the only people there on this visit but I genuinely don't understand why it is not more busy as everyone I've spoken to can't fault it in any way. It's on Welly road so is easy to walk to when in town and has far better cocktails than even the more expensive places in Northampton. Couldn't recommend more and truly love it.

Visiting Meanwhile Bar was such a great. The food and service were exceptional, as were the home made cakes and speciality teas.

Good selection of cocktails, can't choose? Have them all :) Very good value for money. friendly staff. Would recommend.

I accidentally stumbled in on a rainy evening during a business trip in Northampton. I was so impressed with the friendly, fast and knowledgeable staff. I felt very welcome and "at home ".
