While the food is good, avoid this place on Friday evenings. Service is subpar, slow, and requires chasing staff for action. It's cash only. We ordered two mains, and they asked if we would accept the second after the first. If two people order simultaneously, we expect food to arrive at a similar time, not after one person finishes. They need more staff.
Three of us went on Sunday 25th May at 2:30. The server was so negative and made us feel unwanted and a chore. Been many times but this kind of attitude ruined the day

Very popular and with good reason. We spent a lot of hours here in one day and found the service very good, the facilities inside and outside were great.
We’ll definitely be back again during our next Newcastle visit.
Our favourite place to eat out. Delicious food, excellent service, welcoming atmosphere which is also child friendly and staff are so nice 10/10 it's a must try x
This has to be the best restaurant in Taunton. Fancy something different? Thought of Portuguese skewers? This is the place to go. About a 10 minute walk from the railway station and 5 minutes from the town centre, the restaurant oozes atmosphere and authentic charm. The staff are friendly and accommodating and can recommend dishes with an excellent knowledge of the menu.
The food is divine and freshly cooked to order. There are individual skewers with 2 side dishes as a main course along with sharing platters too for two people.
Highly recommended for eating out in Taunton but be sure to pre-book as it gets busy. However, a busy restaurant is always a good sign!
As locals, we love Skewer House! It was a delicious evening. Obrigado!

My favorite city escape in the UK! I’ve stayed three times and every summer visit feels like hitting “reset” — gorgeous countryside views, super-warm staff, and instant calm the moment you arrive. Already counting down to the next trip!

Tbh I wish I could give 0.
Had an awful experience with 2 friends at a bottomless brunch just before Christmas. One of which was pregnant and served an alcoholic drink. Sent an email with all of our feedback to which it was forwarded on and after 2/3 times of chasing… ghosted! Appalling! So shocked given Shoreditch branch were amazing and couldn’t do anymore for a previous booking earlier in the year.
A lovely little vegan cafe in the heart of Fort William high street. As a Muslim family we were really grateful for the existence of this cafe, as otherwise halal options were very limited in the town especially for breakfast. Three of us had the lentil soup with sourdough bread which was really filling. My dad had the cornish vegetable pasty which was also quite tasty, and my brother had the a waffle with fruit and cream - I was surprised at how soft and fluffy the waffle was, having not been very well acquainted with vegan food before!
The drinks were also really good too - I loved the hazelnut hot chocolate especially! Plus, the focus on sustainability was very welcome e.g. details of where key ingredients such as coffee beans come from. In general the food is a bit on the pricey side, but given the focus on sustainability as well as how tasty everything was, it was definitely worth it. Thank you Wildcat!
