Sunday roast was overpriced and wasn't top quality. Porchetta was reheated and dry, and the lamb belly was hard and chewy. The vegetables were just plain broccoli, sliced carrots, and cauliflower. We were waiting for 35 minutes for reheated potatoes - very poor. maybe the ingredients were top quality but if you can't cook then it is irrelevant.

This was our second visit, I'm approx 12 months. It was good to see that the restaurant has retained the same team. This is a good indicator of not only high standards but also a good working environment. The welcome, food and ambience was second to none. I would highly recommend Vero Moderno! Thank you, once again, to all the team.

What can I say about these guys! From the minute you walk in til the second you leave, they make you feel like it's home. Ten out of ten service and the food is out of this world, just incredible! We will see you soon guys 😀

We went for Sunday lunch last week and were really impressed with everything - super friendly, efficient staff, great atmosphere and the food and wine just as good. We live in Stockport and the trip into Salford was definitely worth it. We'll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere, great food and amazing service

Other half had been here with friends and was impressed, so had to visit. Staff very friendly and remembered other half from last visit. Had garlic bread between us for starter which was half cheese and tomato, also a main and dessert each. Other half had a special on at the time Beef Wellington, said was lovely.

Lovely Italian beer. Expensive and pint not filled completely otherwise would be rated higher.

Nice food and busy atmosphere. Really liked the fettuccine Verdi Cacio e Pepe and also tried the pappardelle al ragu’bianco di agnello e crema ai funghi but was a bit underwhelming. Tiramisu for dessert was also very good.

Had a beautiful meal for our 9th anniversary! Service was amazing, food was delicious, I had the king prawn pasta and it was 👌you have to try the tiramisu 😋😋 We had a gorgeous bottle of Borolo 100% recommend

KEY WORD : AUTHENTIC. I have been living in England for more that 10 years from South to the Midlands and i can strongly confirm that is definitely Top 1 Italian Restaurant in the Uk. I have been coming for years and also been ordering on a regular Basis. Vero is Home! I’m an Italian Chef and seeing many others restaurants compromising their quality over the current changes in pricing, brexit etc, reinforces my thought about Vero! The Menu changes constantly , so even if i have already tried probably everything on the menu, i can never get bored. Consistency!! A quick Macchiato at the bar before heading off to work or an Aperol Spritz on the sunny days…YES, HOME…. But i cannot stress enough about Sunday Roast 🥲… oh my God!!! Agnello for Me. Thank you.The amount of times i found my self having to Pre order it and make sure they save me a Portion for me is insane!! It just flies out. Beppe and All the guys in the Kitchen, and Floor are just the best. Even though i am a regular and a good friend of everyone i cannot stop thanking you all for keeping that sparkle alive especially for us Italian Living abroad that miss home so much and sometimes find warmth in a bite.

We come here every year for Christmas Eve/New Year’s Eve. The service is always great and the food is delicious and not like a ‘typical’ Italian. Come here for some traditional gorgeous Italian food.

Very tasty Italian food that always makes me wanting to return. Good variaty of tasty food, originally crafted starters and delicious pizza. The ambiance is very cozy and at the same time nice and well taken care for. Staff is caring and always nice. Highly recommend the pizzas.

Came here for a meal for the first time with my cousin Claire last night. The food and service was excellent and the owner who served us was very friendly too. Atmosphere was great as well, we had a nice table. My only wish was that Erling Haaland had been there, as I'm a huge City fan and would love to meet him one day! But that was always unlikely to happen, even though it's his favourite restaurant, which he visits regularly 😁. Joking aside though, will be back one day with my husband, possibly for our wedding anniversary in April.

We went on Halloween after work as a last minute group of 9 and were happily accommodated, the service was friendly and patient with a good back and forth rapport! The food was delicious, I had the cheese and truffle pasta and broccoli(alongside some obligatory tomato/cheese garlic bread) I would highly recommend the place and will be back! Beppe was a wonderful host!

We stopped by on the off chance they had a table free it was busy. We were seated, and the waiters came over asking if we needed water, which came in a bottle. The menu is inusual. You get pieces of king prawns and swordfish, which we thought they were saving money as it would look more, but they would use less. We both ordered the swordfish around £20. Unfortunately, we had to send ours back twice as the pasta wasn't cooked - not Al dente, which we were reminded of twice. We didn't complain when the dish arrived the 3rd time it was to our liking. By this time it was 7.25 the manager Pepe came over and said we needed to vacate our table as the 2nd sitting was due, he was rather rude and later as he chased us out of the establishment he said he was going to move us to another table which seemed odd, why couldn't he just sit the other people there? and why did he fail to inform us of that when we arrived, bearing in mind if we hadn't sent the food back twice we would have been gone. The manager offered us another bill as my partner pointed out how rude he had been before we walked out - and we paid for the meal in full. We were invited back the following week - but would you go back? the service started off great and turned into rude. We questioned was it because we sent the good back ?

The owner is clearly an aggressive blameworthy person so IMO avoid.. We've ordered from this venue and the sourdough pizza is actually good but it's also good from the numerous other Italian restaurants in Manchester. So I've tried phoning to book in the past and that time the owner responded and said he couldn't hear me but the thing that put me off was that I use my mobile phone constantly and here he is saying aggressively and in a blameworthy manner: "I can't hear you coz your phone signal is bad". Well my phone signal is great as we have a mast on the next block of roads and I even get 1GB download speeds on mobile 5g signal off my phone. Dare I suggest that the venue has a handheld phone or a bad reception? Of course the owner would probably start blaming and cursing as you can read in his childish review responses further down. Anyway we booked at Salvis Italian restaurant on that occasion. Anyway the reason I am giving Vero Moderno such a review is based on my latest surreal exchange with the owner which is detailed below: I phoned in between my work calls and again he responded in his usual unpleasant abrupt manner and insisted he could not hear me and to call back. I called back from my wife's phone and when he responded I suggested maybe their phone system had a fault or the handheld unit was too far from the base unit. God ...... Maybe I shouldn't have dared to suggest that as he sarcastically retorted "No, it's at your end". Ok..... So let's move to the booking bit. So I asked for a table for 4 on Easter Saturday weekend. He then read the T&C's out which included an upfront £40 deposit payable over the phone and part of which would not be refunded if any of the party didn't show. He then asked if I was happy with that. I responded nicely and calmly that I wasn't exactly happy but it was fine and acceptable. He then responded that if I wasn't completely happy then perhaps I shouldn't dine at their venue to which I replied ok then. No skin off my nose and TBH I don't know if it was because he is not a native speaker or if it's his nervous disposition but hey ho, how is he a good face for this restaurant or for Italian migrants? I hope he is the sole investor because I will not order from there or ever set foot in the place again. Ps: for legal purposes I'd like to point out that Google reviews works based on the level of anonymity that the poster desires so where he has accused posters of being anonymous I'd like to point him to the GDPR regulations. Arriverderci.

Delicious and perfectly made food

My wife and I went for lunch.went for the a La carte menu. Absolutely amazing 10/10 Will definitely be making it our No1 Italian to go to. Also ha some amazing Cocktails.
