Noisy, crowded, too many tables in a small room. Starters were ok, pretty basic. For main course had swordfish, which was ok (oily, tasting of nothing but garlic) but all it came with was a small side dish of veg - which were so undercooked the carrots were hard, let alone the broccoli which was raw. Will not visit again.

Returned today after a fairly long time away, only to find that food, service and attention to detail provided by Nico, Giuseppe and their friendly staff was superb. Thanks again for a fantastic meal. See you again soon.

Waited 30 mins for table for 4 booked for 8pm, food was really good then we weren’t asked if we wanted to see dessert menu. 40 mins later had to ask for one. Waiter seemed to be anxious to finish his shift. Lighting too bright and not a comfortable setting. We won’t return.

I attended a wedding for some Sicilian/Italian friends (Valentina and Danielle) and a fantastic time was had!! The team working were brilliant, extremely friendly and accommodating. I am gluten intolerant and they went out of their way to make sure I was well looked after, the food was fantastic!!!

Lovely welcoming staff who tolerated a large group of hungry diners very well. The sharing starter platters suited everybody's needs very well. The sea bass main course was a delight. Every dish was aappetising. Sadly, we did not have room nor time for desert so will have to come back here.

Have just returned from a 70 th birthday meal at Versuvio. We have been here many times before . I don’t know if it’s under new management but the service tonight was terrible. Admittedly it was very busy but on carrival , nobody took our drinks orders , so I had to find someone to get us a drink . Then I had to find someone to take our food order , drinks took ages to arrive. Food took ages to arrive.Garlic bread was forgotten . Nobody checked if we wanted any more drinks , which we did , so I once again I had to stop a waiter to get us drinks . It was as if. nobody knew who was serving who , it was chaos . The only one who knew what she was doing was a young woman with glasses , she was efficient and really lovely. I spent slot of money tonight and wasn’t really happy with our experience. Don’t think I’ll be returning.

BBQ ribs were ok but a bit tough, couldnt say the meat fell off the bone. The seafood linguine was really good.

Absolutely stunning food, we had octopus oysters and bruschetta to start and it was amazing, the pasta dishes served for mains were out of this world!! The service was outstanding and an all round great feel to the restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who loves seafood or Italian dishes

My wife and I visited Vesuvio for the first time last Saturday. We had a lovely 2 course meal and the food was brilliant. Great menu choice, including small portions and daily specials. Service was brilliant aswell. Couldn’t fault our evening and look forward to returning.

Very nice (family run?) restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating staff, with a good selection of dishes and drinks. Slightly difficult to find as it is the only place on the first floor, and the steps up are right down the end.

Absolutely superb meal with the wife. A lovely relaxed atmosphere despite the place being super busy- staff just seem to take it in their stride. Food was delicious as was the chilled Gavi di Gavi. Genuinely couldn't fault a thing.

Quite a lovely trip out this evening, the octopus was excellent!!!! Perfectly cooked and with the perfect sides - My sausage and bean starter needed some more flavour but booked well and bread was lovely. Main courses were hitting the spot - plenty portion and perfect tastes and textures - beef cheek was cooked perfectly. Lovely service and environment - we will just have to come back….

Lovely place food very tasty! They need to train on how to make cocktails. We ordered pineapple Daquiris and they came in a martini glass. Pink gin and lemonade came with a cherry !!!

For an Italian restaurant there's hardly any chicken meals. It's mostly red meat and I struggle to eat red meat. I ended up with a lasagna which was delightful. I would have given a 5* for food if the did more chicken meals.

Birthday Treat! Fresh ravioli! Specials board constantly changing great variety. Fillet steak was to die for. Melted in the mouth. We all had a fabulous time.

The food here is amazing, lots of gluten free options, that’s tasty and high in quality. The service is great as well and the manager/owner is such a lovely guy. Drinks and cocktails are also great. 10/10

Not too busy mid week - food is excellent & staff are really helpful

This is definitely my favourite local restaurant. Not once I was disappointed when visited the place. Staff is very friendly and you can feel family vibe there. Food is so delicious and portions are generous. My favour is is pizza and fish starter mix. The place food in Boothstown. I'm always happy to go back to Vesuvio and I always recommend this place to friends and family.

We have been several times with family and friends, yesterday we went with some friends from Australia. The food was excellent as usual and our friends said it was superb. We were pleased they enjoyed the evening.

Had a great meal last night. We arrived a little late not long before closing but they welcomed us and didn’t rush us! The food was lovely and so was the service.

Fuimos a este restaurante y fue un auténtico placer, materia de calidad y todo riquísimo. Camareros muy atentos e italianos. A muy recomendable reservar porque está siempre lleno, sobre todo los fines de semana. Comimos pizza, foca cía y cafés. Estupendo y para repetir.

We have been today for mothers day and could not have had a better experience. There was a mishap or two, however the team couldn't have been more honest and apologetic about it. The food was absolutely incredible and certainly fresh. Prices were very reasonable and we can't wait to go again, even though we are over an hour away. A hidden gem. Thank you.

Always get a warm welcome from all the staff and they are so accommodating with everything. We love looking at the specials board and trying out their new dishes , all of which have been outstanding!! I cannot fault the food and even our Italian relatives were impressed . Great quality, authentic, Italian cuisine. Having just come back from a trip to Rome this restaurant reignited the experience of our visit. There was a good choice of dishes on the menu, well presented, hot and flavorful. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. There was also an extensive wine list with reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit.

This is our ‘go to’ restaurant in the Worsley area, the service is always good and the food is great. The steaks are always excellent and there is a good selection of fish dishes. It is not small portion fine dining but if you like generous portion, good quality Italian cooking this is for you.

Another wonderful experience at Vesuvio. Happy to help and advise with my particular wine tastes. The food is just incredible, I wish I could eat there every day!

Was squeezed in at short notice on a Sunday first sitting. Thumbs up for that. Arrived a little early but we were not the first to arrive and the atmosphere was already ramping up. The restaurant filled up very quickly but service was still excellent. Food could not be faulted and was very competitively priced. Specials board(s) caused all kinds of excellent dilemmas. We tried food from the regular menu and specials. Everything was bang on with the ox cheeks my personal stand out. Hurry up and book!

We have been visiting Vesuvio for a while now, so thought it deserved a review. This restaurant serves fabulous authentic Italian food, they regularly update their specials board and it includes lots of fresh seafood. Their garlic bread is one of the best I’ve tried that staff are lovely and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Visited following a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Food was really lovely, service was great, had a great evening. Weve booked to come back for my husband's birthday in Jan, can't wait!

Ordered a takeaway, pizza the worst I have eaten, hardly no cheese and soggy watery pizza base. Couldn't even eat it, really disappointed.

Recommend for a birthday meal, booked early evening 4 of us, promptly seated and orders taken, as the restaurant started to fill up could not have a conversation as the noise was so loud and wasn’t even any large parties in at this point. The food was average, the 2 fish dishes looked nice but the pizza, pasta and meatballs were tasteless, couldn’t eat the pizza as it was watery mush for the majority of it, the waitress asked if it was ok so said not really as it’s so soggy, she returned to the table with an explanation of “it’s because use they use fresh mozzarella” but think it was more the watery tomato topping. 2 out of 4 meals uneaten.

The food here is amazing and of very high standard. The fried pasta is a typical Neapolitan street food and is truly unreal. you won’t find this in any other Italian restaurant. Very highly recommended

Lovely food, very friendly people

We've passed this place many times but only just recently dined here. It's hidden away (other than the sign you wouldn't know it's there). We were welcomed by friendly staff and a pleasant, well decorated restaurant. The food came quite quickly but it was very nice. I'd love to come back and try more of the pasta dishes 😋

Food was very disappointing Appeared authentically Italian but was a let down. The service was terrible. One of the worst experiences of service I've ever seen. When asking for another bottle of water a bottle of mineral water was brought. An apology was given as tap water had been drunk all evening and the waiter tutted and rolled his eyes at this. The atmosphere was chaotic and unpleasant. Would not recommend

The food and service here were excellent. If you want quality, authentic Italian cuisine then this is the place. The service and attention to detail was great, my wife being celiac was well looked after they added lovely touches at each service point that made you feel homely and looked after. Very nice posh authentic Italian restaurant. Staff make u feel very welcome. Food was amazing. The seabass was cooked to perfection. Not sure on prices as the father inlaw paid. But I'm sure its woth it.
