The best restaurants serving Turkish food in England

First visit to this wonderful restaurant. Immaculate inside and warm, goodness that's rare these days in eating places. But it was very comfortable. Limited menu, but absolutely delicious food and so reasonably priced. A lovely waitress looked after us, checking everything was OK. Gold star for looking after me the awkward eater, that was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

We used to get this dish and it was plentiful but not anymore. The price has gone up and the meat and chicken content has dropped dramatically. Also the rice is much less. We won't be buying this again as it's just a waste of money. Shame

I’m a huge fan of the Melissa in Edgware so I thought to try out the harrow branch. The food was decent and tasted fresh and the service was generally good. But the staff need some additional training. I had a pram and was alone and coming into the restaurant the waitress could see me struggling with the pram but stared rather than come to help me by opening the door. The same happened on the way out. Again, I wouldn’t be too bothered if they are busy but only 3 tables were dining. The staff were just standing on the side but no one helped me. That left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not return. I think they are also pricier than the Edgware branch.

Hamburguesa con patatas fritas. Muy salado (no tengo sal) muy seco e insípido. 50 , también tuvo que pedir dos veces bebida dietética. El personal era muy amable, pero estaban muy ocupados.

From his very first reply, I could tell he truly cared about making things right. He personally invited me back to the restaurant and offered a discount as a kind gesture for the inconvenience. When I returned, Azad went above and beyond to ensure this visit was unforgettable. He greeted us warmly, took the time to personally apologise again in person, and made sure we had the best possible experience from start to finish. His attention to detail and the way he made us feel welcomed was something you don’t often find—he genuinely cared. The food was absolutely amazing, and this time, so was the service. Everything was flawless. It’s clear that Azad and his team are passionate about what they do and are committed to giving their customers a great experience. What could have been just a bad memory has turned into one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, all thanks to Azad’s professionalism, kindness, and dedication. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending Etci Mehmet to others. Huge thank you again to Azad and the team—you really went the extra mile!

Staff are not very clear on allergy when asked to show what ingredients are in certain products.

Great service and absolutely amazing food. Had a wonderful night and was well looked after and the food is truly amazing. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble and the amount of food you get is well worth it. Will visit again if we return to Stratford

Such a shame it has gone downhill! Food poor - no Potts bread either hummus- just ordinary bread and other mezzes very stodgy.

This is by far the best kebab in north London , the quality of their meat is expectational , portion sizes are huge , definitely take pride in what they do … they will sell out

Ordered a takeaway and they cancelled the order at the time it was due to be delivered for no reason - poor Update: looks like the dodgy uber eats driver robbed my food. Thank you for the response, I’ve updated my review to reflect the update until I’ve eaten there

We had not booked but the Manager & bar staff were very helpful & accommodating. So glad they were as rhe food was fantastic.
