Meyhane in Kirklees

First visit to this wonderful restaurant. Immaculate inside and warm, goodness that's rare these days in eating places. But it was very comfortable. Limited menu, but absolutely delicious food and so reasonably priced. A lovely waitress looked after us, checking everything was OK. Gold star for looking after me the awkward eater, that was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

After reading reviews online this place looked promising. I was wrong. The food is bland and tasteless. Seriously small portions I counted 8 chips. The lamb pieces were tiny and I couldn’t eat some as they were so fatty. I have never left a restaurant hungry before up until now. I’m sure this place has changed its menu and taken a few items off as it didn’t have much choice at all. Overall very disappointed and we all left hungry which was a real shame as the restaurant and the service was fantastic. Just the food needed seasoning/salt and the portion sizes are way too small.

Delicious well-presented reasonably-priced Turkish and Greek mezes. The atmosphere was nice, and depended on which of the two levels you booked. The upper level is more stylish and romantic; the lower, more chic. Both were clean. Our waiter, Jaymie, was attentive and helpful. Street parking is available outside, and is free after 18:00. There are steps from the street into the restaurant. We will definitely dine here again.

Absolutely divine food, 100% reccomend here. came for a bit of dinner after dog walking and i must say it did not dissapoint. the mussels were incredible for a very decent price. Will be coming back again, service was lovely too was looked after by a very kind lady with brown hair. wonderful place to go.

Lovely cosy and relaxed dining. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The quality and presentation of the dishes ordered, was lovely. The salad was great, but I just wished the portions had been a little larger.

If you expect plates of meat piled high you will be disappointed. What you will get is Turkish Meze, small bowls of deliciously tasty food some old favourites and some never before heard off but worth a try. As advised we asked our server about the Meyhane Salad and it was highly recommended so we gave it a try and wasn't disappointed not normally a salad fan but would have quite happily munched my way through a big bowl of it. Try the Mantaz that's tasty, Turkish Gnocchi is how I would describe it very good. 6 dishes we had between 2 and the greek dips all different and all great. If you get chance chat to Ersin the owner about the dishes and he will relate why the menu is as it is. The lady who is front of house is lovely and knowledgable and passionate of the food she serves.

Amazing food. Awesome service. Great prices! We had 7 dishes and 3 drinks. All the food was incredible, the staff are so friendly and it cost way less than we were expecting. What a brilliant little gem in Huddersfield. Definitely worth a visit! We’ll be back soon!
