From Disappointment to an Unforgettable Experience – Thanks to Azad! I visited Etci Mehmet in Manchester a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations—the service wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for. I took the time to share my concerns with the team, and that’s when everything changed. Azad, the restaurant manager, responded to my message with genuine concern and professionalism. From his very first reply, I could tell he truly cared about making things right. He personally invited me back to the restaurant and offered a discount as a kind gesture for the inconvenience. When I returned, Azad went above and beyond to ensure this visit was unforgettable. He greeted us warmly, took the time to personally apologise again in person, and made sure we had the best possible experience from start to finish. His attention to detail and the way he made us feel welcomed was something you don’t often find—he genuinely cared. The food was absolutely amazing, and this time, so was the service. Everything was flawless. It’s clear that Azad and his team are passionate about what they do and are committed to giving their customers a great experience. What could have been just a bad memory has turned into one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, all thanks to Azad’s professionalism, kindness, and dedication. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending Etci Mehmet to others. Huge thank you again to Azad and the team—you really went the extra mile!

My daughter and her husband took me and their dad for my birthday. The food was extremely nice. Although the veggies needed to be a little warmer. The atmosphere was incredible, and the staff were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place. Steak was delicious.

We visited Echi Mehmet in Manchester for my birthday for their Sunday roast. We chose it because there aren’t many places offering halal Sunday roasts in Manchester. We arrived at 4:30 PM — the restaurant was empty when we got there but quickly filled up. The location is great, right next to a car park, only about a 30-second walk. The roast itself was nice — we had the chicken and sirloin — and we did get a big amount of food, though it was quite expensive as roasts go. We also paid £3.50 for a tiny pot of extra gravy, which felt like an overcharge. Mocktails were nice. Service could have been better — we weren’t asked how we wanted our steak cooked, how the meal was, or if we needed anything else, none of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there if I’m honest. Overall, it was nice to try once because of the halal option, but we probably wouldn’t go back.

Food was good but not wow regarding the price Serving is good Friendly staff But tables were very close to each other, music was high, high chairs for babies weren’t suitable for their tables as they are low than tables Baklava was good but its ice cream was very sugary so its taste was faded Overall we can’t say that it was a bad experience

I come to Etci Mehmet often with my family because both the atmosphere & food is fabulous every time. The Istanbul night was amazing. There were different acts performing throughout the night which was great entertainment whilst we enjoyed our food. My favourite was the Saxophone player & flame dancer. The staff were in high spirits as always, interacting with the entertainment and guests. Very welcoming and accommodating to all. Overall 10/10 experience and a restaurant I’ve already recommended to all.

We visited mid afternoon on a week day. So was very very quiet. Personally we were not impressed. The food was ok but the meat lacked flavour and very few sauces given so felt very dry. Given the price we were disappointed. The lamb chops were the only expectation to the above. The beef dishes were really disappointing. The service was good from the staff friendly and polite, however we had 4 different waiters/waitresses in our 2 hours. So food we ordered didn’t arrive, we asked and it was then forgotten again as the waiter had changed. Then overcharged on the bill as the new waitress wasn’t aware that some food was never bought out. That really was disappointing again especially given the price. The restaurant has a nice feel. However felt dark and music was very loud. Overall, given the price of the food and how quiet it was we were left disappointed.

One of my favorite restaurants—excellent food and top-notch service. The manager, Asad, is incredibly thoughtful and attentive.

steak is good but hard to chew however , the atmosphere was great the place is hansom and have halal meat and there are so many muslims

Spent alot on a meal, only to be served plain white rice with bits of beans in it, the steak was dry and hard. Overall did not enjoy my meal in such an aesthetic environment. Can do better.

Came here on a Monday evening for the first time without a reservation. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and such a vibe the minute we walked in… Entertainment and food were both excellent. The only downside was the chicken steak we ordered, should’ve been served with steamed vegetables instead of half a plate of cold salad🤦🏻‍♀️ We were offered it as complimentary, but we had almost finished eating by that time. The peppercorn sauce wasn’t great either which you had to purchase separately. Will try the mushroom sauce next time. The highlight was the amazing baklava with Turkish tea, which was absolutely amazing!!! Will definitely visit again soon xxx Overall and amazing night and experience.

Love the staff here but the food is highly expensive. However it's the best baklava I have ever had. But overall for the amount charged at end, i couldn't give more stars.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the manager, Azad, who made us feel right at home. The ambience was great—cozy and relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. Amazing service by Dali and Mohammed do recommend the Rib eye- Perfectly cooked and amazing customer service from both of the colleges- Mohammed served us Turkish tea on the house which made the overall service amazing.

Too loud too noisy too many flames but staff dancing was funny. Everything aside we go for the food quality and I have to say it was poor. Steak quality was just terrible and that’s my honest opinion.

Absolutely amazing! 10 out of 10. I’m a visitor from Sweden – trust me, people! The service and staff were incredible, especially Mahmut – what a star! We, 3 friends from Ireland, came to visit Manchester for a day. While we were thinking about what to eat for dinner, we saw Etçi Mehmet Restaurant and wanted to come. We are so glad we came. We would especially like to thank Mr. Muhammed for his interest and interest. Their meat and baklava are very delicious, I definitely recommend you to go.

Excellent food, expertly grilled delicious starters, complimentary soup to celebrate Ramadan which was very tasty, this is an experience not just a meal. This is an alcohol free venue but was many soft drinks and mocktails to choose from

I don't understand the hype & I don't understand the rating...the meat is so tasteless & overpriced, the only thing nice is the staff but the food was so bad. The 1 star is for the mezze platter which is the only thing that was nice, ruined a birthday meal.

Best meat I’ve ever tasted. So tender it really does melt in your mouth and the flavour is wonderful. Staff are very nice but some people may find certain things too invasive for their liking.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a lunch date. We were highly impressed by the manager, Azed, who tended to all of our needs and made sure we felt warm and welcome. We had the ribeye and the Dallas steak which were both divine. The atmosphere was impeccable, with the captivating notes of Turkish music in the air. All in all, I highly recommend coming here, and we will definitely be returning.

Lovely food. I was with some Muslim business associates. I couldn’t have a drink as the place was strictly halal. My meat was great but would have been better with a Rioja.
