Amazing food and 10/10 service - so happy this is local for us. We will definitely be coming back!

I made the booking for this restaurant in March and when I turned up it was closed. I assume it has gone out of business given an earlier review about the same place. If they haven't gone out of business then this is a very shoddy way to treat customers

Booked on their website and then telephoned the day before to check the booking was ok to add some more people was told fine all good turned up 10 mins before the time we booked all 10 of us to the place closed no sighn of life nothing no notice to say why they were shut they had all my details no txt no phone call nothing the night was ruined .. thank you so much will never again cross your door

Lovely place, made a birthday very special with such a nice relaxing atmosphere, kids enjoyed and was accessable for my grandad to. Food was beautiful and really good variety to suit everyone, service was great with really lovely staff. Will definitely be back. Can highly recommend sausage, hummus and mix grill. I usually stay clear of baklava but it's not overly sweet here and gutted I didn't order myself some, I will be getting next time.

A very beautiful traditional Turkish cafe restaurant. Food was good.. cheese rolls were very tasty but most of the pastry options were unavailable to serve although they were written on the menu which was disappointing. I appreciate that they were nice and timely. Please update the menus as the current menus are dirty and crossed out which isnt a fair reflection on the food or the place. All the best of luck!

Beautifully decorated but very overpriced for insulting small portions. Slow service. Sadly we are unlikely to give this a second chance with plenty of good Turkish alternatives.

So dissapointing! 9 of us booked for 4pm..arrived and they didn't even know we were coming! Service very slow..had to keep asking for things we had already ordered Food not the best at all..very dry lamb..cold hard rice Humous was awfull!! My meal was 5 peices of chicken.. small portion of rice.. and bit of salad- £19!! 🙈 Then the coffee machine broke..but was still on the bill 😤 So overpriced!! And it was freezing in there..we had to keep our coats on to eat Go to Istanbul Grill or Yara or Turquoise in Cheadle..if you want this kind of food..much better service and food is always good!

Chose this place due to the high review score but unfortunately that wasn’t our experience. Portion sizes were very small considering the price. Meat was dry and over cooked, rice was hard/undercooked and mustard chicken was basically just chicken in English mustard sauce. Our server was doing his first day and he was great otherwise, very friendly/attentive and seemingly running all the tables himself. Restaurant was cold throughout so wasn’t very comfortable sitting in. Disappointed 👎🏼

Good service let down by poor food unfortunately. Myself and 2 friends all had rice with our main courses which was under cooked. For a starter I had the Feta cheese roll which was all pastry and no Feta 🙁 Had high hopes based on the strong Google reviews. Left disappointed.

I called the restaurant 2 days earlier to make a reservation for 9 people to celebrate my mothers birthday, I made them aware of the celebration when making the reservation. When we arrived, it appeared they were not aware of the reservation, not a major problem as they had a table available for us, but it would be nice if the birthday celebrations were noted. The starters were very nice. However, a few points to mentioned overall. One of the main means was forgotten and served afterwards, all rice was under cooked, and my lamb shish was dry and chewey. We had to ask for cutlery and for our tables to be cleaned between courses. We ordered drinks on arrival but were not asked if we would like to order any more drinks throughout the meal. The baklava was not to our taste and we didn't eat it, this was not noticed by staff , the fudge cake that says will be served warm was in fact served cold, this was rectified when I asked it to be warmed however instead of an apology I was told it was warmed up although it was stone cold. The bill had coffees on that we did not receive as the coffee machine was broken and also children deserts were charged at full price, again this was rectified without too much hassle when I mentioned, I had to walk over to the kitchen area to ask for the bill and the card machine, staff did not come over to our table to ask if everything was OK , etc. Although the lady was very nice , service wasn't great. We were also very cold and kept our coats on for the meal. Staff also had coats and scarves on. That being said, I visited here a few years ago, and the service and food were amazing. I hope things will get better as the decor and ambience are lovely.

Never had a bad meal here. Food is simply awesome. Lamb ribs are to die for! Definitely recommend. Shame it’s not as busy as it should be, deserves to be.

The owners were really friendly and were telling me about how they cook all the food over the charcoal. The ambiance in the restaurant was great too. When I got home with the food it was really worth waiting for. We had a mix of everything and it was all amazing. Really looking forward to a visit to eat in next time and definitely top of the list for the next take away night too.

We went for my Husband's birthday and it was lovely experience. The staff was really nice and friendly. The service was great and the food was tasty as well.

Istanbul Cafe serve the best Turkish breakfast in Manchester. Owner is very very accommodating and will go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy the experience. He makes me and my wife breakfast, even in the afternoons, and always knows what we want. The food is very authentic, and prepared with love and experience. This is my favourite place to eat in Manchester, it would not be out of place in any of the more affluent eateries in the Northwest. You must try the Cinimon Tea....

Just been to have a meal. An excellent place to dine. Food was amazing! Lovely tea at the end. The food is definitely 5 stars, would highly recommend and ofcourse we are going to be regular customers at this restaurant. The staff are amazing too!

Authentic Turkish food served by lovely staff It’s like being away on holiday.Interesting twists on traditional dishes with ample portions.

They are charging too much and portion are too small so its ripping u off. One can drink cost £2.99 female waitress is very rude and she doesn’t know how to speak. Lamb is not good at all we wasted money I trust on the reviews but not recommending to any one, worse experience.

It has brilliant food, is great value and all with excellent service. One on the best Turkish restaurants around. What's not to like!

Been there few times with my family. We really loved the food and the environment and nice people working there . my son loves their Turkish sausages. I recommend to everyone to go there and try their food ❤️❤️

We chose to return here as the food is lovely but unfortunately my birthday celebration felt rushed. Our starter literally arrived 5 minutes after our drink , and our mains were on the table before we’d actually finished our starter.! Whilst the staff are obviously super efficient , that’s poor etiquette in any restaurant. We were in and out in under 40 mins. No time to enjoy ourselves properly and I felt ruined my birthday . I’ve spent longer in a McDonald’s takeaway.

The amazing flavours and quality of the ingredients are what keeps us going back to this restaurant. It's always well cooked and presented too. You always get such a warm welcome, and can tell how passionate they are about their food. I'd highly recommend this place to anybody

We have been to this restaurant several times now and the food has always been fantastic! We came last night for my young son’s birthday and they very kindly accommodated us in their VIP section. They made a fuss of him and he loved it- thank you!

Great authentic food that I loved, we got a mixed platter that was amazing. The chicken had some of the best flavours I have ever tasted.

This restaurant is amazing!!!! We had a Father’s Day meal here on Sunday…….. truly memorable. The front of house staff are so friendly, attentive and polite !!!! It was like being in a top resort in Turkey. The food was exceptional….. starters all freshly cooked and a taste sensation. All the kebabs were the best we’ve all tasted …… Iskender kebabs were so well made and so succulent. The cost of eating here is so reasonable for food that knocks spots off city centre competitors. This will be a regular eatery for us now. If you eat here you will not be disappointed……. It’s so good !!! Thank you

Been here a few times and never disappointed! We end up getting the mixed main for 2 as we can never decide what to have! The only thing we have learnt is not to order starters, but the lovely bread and dips they bring which are complimentary are too good not to nibble on. Good job they can put your leftovers in a takeaway bag and we can have next day for lunch!!!

We came in tonight to celebrate my husbands birthday, there were 6 adults and 4 children. When I called to book I was offered the VIP room for no extra charge, it was so nice to be able to enjoy a meal with family without having to tell the children to sit down or not mess ! The food was amazing so tasty and excellent value for money, the service was brilliant too we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much for a lovely evening we will 100% be back

Love this little hidden gem in burnage. The owner and all the staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly. The food is amazing. The restaurant decor is on point and feels like it’s been lifted right out of Istanbul itself. 100% recommend a visit!

Just tried this place for first time to celebrate a birthday and the food is insanely good. The tastes are amazing and the bread is SOOO good. Service was friendly and accommodating and the decor inside is very authentic. Price is very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. Can't wait to go back and try some different dishes. Would highly recommend a visit. Thanks again for the birthday baklava it was stunning

Great food in a Turkish environment

It was out first visit and it won't be the last. The food was amaizing, so fresh and all our dishes were beautiful. The staff were soo friendly and welcoming. The decor, the smells, the music, all fabulous. I highly recommend.

Came here with my partner last night and had a really lovely evening. The food was great and we left extremely full after sharing a couple of starters the mixed grill for two. The decor was cosy and I loved all the little finishing touches like the salt and pepper shakers and the water jug etc as it made the whole experience feel very authentic. Staff were warm and friendly , we will definitely be back! Thankyou.

Visited tonight my wife and I really enjoyed our valentines Starters cold palet & hot palet, then sea bass & Lamb , both delicious + a bottle of white wine all for £82. 4 of us had great experience last.night. The colourful decor and pleasant staff created a welcoming vibe. The traditional menu was well cooked and presented.. great flavours in the casserole and charcoaled kebabs. Baklava was fresh, light and the tastiest I’ve had in quite awhile. I’ll be back.

Fantastic mixed platter for four today. Warm welcome by all the staff and the food was amazing. Had to bring some home as there was so much! It was my friend's birthday and they kindly brought us some complimentary desserts to try. Will definitely be going back.

They are charging too much for seesh kebab cost £ 15 and in other turkish restarsnts you get for 5 and in turkey for £3. Less salad and no turkish yoghurt or sauce was given while charging and ripping u off. One drink cost £2.99 andos not mentioned in the menu. In istanbul u get wheat rice but they just gave me some boiled rice tastless . Some staff tend to be over clever n super chatty however they did greet you nicely but mayb got treated this way as there was a booking of some white people n they were busy in that . When i asked for the sauce a blxk female staff answered me rudely what you mean by sauce and then i said food is dry so need some sauce n then at the end she brought me some sauce .

Went for my birthday here with my family and friends and it was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful inside . We was greeted on arrival and they also put baloons and birthday banner up for me Very friendly helpful staff . The food was amazing with lots of options . Would definitely recommend . A big Thankyou to the manager all staff and of course the brilliant chefs .

Absolutely amazing! What a gem of a place. Visited for the first time for my mums 60th birthday and we we're not dissapointed. Amazing food and a fab selection, service was great too. Beautifully decorated and we had our own room to enjoy our evening. There were some personal touches too that hadn't been requested which made it all the more special. We had a brilliant time and will certainly be visiting again. Thankyou for making the night a great one.

The food and staff were very nice and the place looks great, they're just getting their booze license sorted so at the moment only bottled beer and wine is on offer. My only gripe was that for the prices you should have got a little more on your plate.

Man if you’re in the Burnage area definitely give this place a go! Amazing food, warm decor and unbelievable service. Our main host was amazing, friendly and made our night. Definitely recommend.

Amazing food/drink and great atmosphere! The Hummus and Cacik are a must and all the meat is perfect. Staff were lovely as well :) will be back soon as we can!
