We visit this restaurant at least once a week, the guys are amazing in there. As we walk in the servers greet you with a smile, and as you sit down they bring you your complimentary lentil ( which by the way is amazing). Nothing is too much for them, we as a couple have been going in about 6months now, they know we like a lot of lemon with our food so we get an extra plate with sliced lemon on. We love their tea in there black fragrance tea, it's amazing. The food is cooked fresh for you, the flavours are intense, flame grilled kebabs, flat breads freshly made all the food is prepped freshly. The menus very good with some great dishes on there, prices for the food are excellent very very reasonable for the quality of food. Will be going back here for a very long time. Excellent!

Delicious authentic food. Great service. Highly affordable. We had the kebab, mixed grill and lamb Cozy. Everything wws delicious except the wings were okay. I recommend u get the kebwb and oozy. Went as a family of 8, 6 adults and 2 children, it was only £40! There was free additional items to compliment the food, like beans, bamia (okra) and lentil soup. These were the best part. Also, there was free tea! was a delight. I cannot recommend this place enough, it's my new favourite restaurant in the UK.

Outstanding food. Best kebabs in Manchester. Excellent fresh bread. The free soup is delicious. Sometimes can be a wait for a table and not a lot of space to stand and wait, but well worth it. Also excellent value for money. Underrated gem for sure.

The food and portions were nice for what you pay. They give free Dhal soup and nan before and during your meal. They also give free tea. It's not an elegant place however that's fine because it's relaxing in there. I gave it 4 stars overall because I had a very bad stomach ache after the meal. I'm not sure what it was. The meal tasted fine.

I paid £12 for a plate of kobideh kebabs & rice - not worth it! Kebabs were small for 12 bucks and taste was very basic.

They give complementary lentil soup (be sure to add loads of sumac) and tea too! Super tasty. Had a mixed platter and it was good, wish I was a bit more spicy. Lamb wasn’t very soft, more on chewy side. Bread was good fresh but gets cold and hard really quickly

Ate lamb oozy/shank in alot restaurant across london but nothing comes close to this. This lamb with minimal seasoning the best ive ever had. The oil and meat dripping 10/10. For £11 with rice They give free unlimited nan and 3 side sauce dish. One with some sort of beans another with aubergine or pepper not sure and another plane Very good service. Plenty of seating for big groups I believer free tea also. Halal, free parking on side roads

Awful place. Absolutely disgusting the meat and kofta was burnt. Kofta and rice smelled like fish. Not clean very dirty. Couldn't eat what we ordered. Waiter is very rude aswell, just avoid this place and keep your money there are better places around for sure

The food was absolutely amazing, the salad was so fresh on view . I have had this dish in many places but I have to say this place top to the lot. The atmosphere of this place, very busy and rightly so. We are a British couple and the multicultural acceptance of this restaurant is nice to see the community in this area is mixed and fully integrated and you can feel that.

I was the first reviewer for this rest. In 2014. I think the owner has been changed. They open bigger rest next door to the old one. Food was god. Complimentary soup was soo cold. Price is good.

The food is very nice, Price is very good The staff are very nice The atmosphere is very nice But one thing that was not very nice was seeing my fellow Kurdish brother bring a plastic bucket of boiling hot water and pouring it into the massive metal teapot. This was a bit embarrassing for me as I had hyped this place up so much for my English colleagues and they have never had Kurdish food before and they were white English people. I hope the staff find a better and safer way of transferring the boiling hot water instead. Also this was carried by hand, if that falls on someone, they’ll burn themselves. Everything else apart from that is very nice.

I recommend the shesh kebab, and enjoy Kurdish Yogurt.

Absolutely recommend food and services i’ve been there plenty time I know every staff is respectable but obviously I love mr masod witches all ways service family area he has really nice personality and he protects our religion he never put his head up to women he make all family comfortable I been a lot of places around Manchester Bolton a lot of them tried to take orders from our miss but he all ways take orders from us thank you so much please keep him in that position

Had always wondered about Kurdistan restaurant as spotted it during lockdown last year but it wasn't open. Read some good reviews about it so was glad to visit. The restaurant was spacious and there were quite a few diners there when we got there mid afternoon. Ordered a lamb oozy dish and a mixed grill. While waiting, we were given some lentil soup which was thick and tasty though lukewarm. The lamb oozy dish came with a massive plate of rice topped with some sweet vermicelli & currants, an okra stew, a bean stew, and a freshly made flat bread. The lamb was really tender and fell off the bone - all in all hearty and tasty but other than the lamb was lukewarm as the food had been ready prepared. Really good value for £9 & we really liked the bread too. The mixed grill consisted of lamb & chicken breast cubes, shish & chicken wings served on a salad, and a flat bread. It was quite disappointing as the meat was quite dry and charred, esp the chicken wings. There wasn't any dipping sauce on the side and no dressing for the salad. The lamb cubes & shish were probably the tastiest. There was help yourself free flow tea after the meal which was much appreciated. Overall, very good value for the meal as portions are large (mixed grill was £12). I wouldn't really recommend the grill as what we had wasn't great but the lamb oozy was good, so defo recommended.

I am a regular customer for this restaurant and every single time I order I take food home and check and I don’t have the full order then I go back and get it again but the food gets cold very bad this has happened several times I will not be returning never again

this cafe tends to cater for kurdish people. the food is meat based and very tasty, we were three friends having an early evening meal. We ordered a lamb shank, chicken kebab and a meat kebab. This was served with a bowl of lentil soup, a vegetable stew and rice with vermicelli. The food was very tasty and enough for 6 people. Along with three bottles of water the bill came to under £30. Remember this is a cafe so not a place to go to for a romantic meal or to expect Michelin type service. But if want a hearty meal than this a place I highly recommend.

Stumbled across this place whilst in Rusholme visiting the Whitworth Gallery. Just off Wilmslow Road, it doesn’t look like much from the outside but the greeting that my mum and I received was very warm and welcoming. We only wanted a light snack so decided to share the large chillu kebab and to get a portion of chips for my toddler. Little did we know but the portions at this place are massive and we left completely stuffed! Before receiving our kebab we were given 2 free bowls of soup and the chilli kebab consisted of 2 large naan style breads, a plate of salad (pickled cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, chillies etc), a massive plate full of rice, 2 kebabs and 2 bowls of stew/sauce: 1 which was bean based and the other containing ocra. The plate of chips for my son was also huge!!! The table of guys next to us also looked like they were enjoying a fine banquet. One of the men realised that I was eyeing up their food and informed me that they were in fact eating sheeps heads!! Not sure I’d be adventurous enough to order a sheeps head but I’ll definitely eat here again next time I’m in Rusholme. All food and a Diet Coke cake to £9! Bargain!

I’ve heard lots about this place so decided to pop in with a friend and see what all the fuss was about. From the outside, it looks a bit like a greasy spoon but that didn’t put me off, but I’m not going there for the aesthetics! Showed to our table by the very friendly owner, with lots of other clients all tucking into their food. As soon as we sat down, we were served a steaming hot bowl of creamy lentil and rice soup which was absolutely delicious. The menu was brilliant. There are about 8-10 dishes, nothing fancy. I went for the half lamb kebab, whilst my friend went full mix kebab. What happened next was amazing. Three large, hot, thin and crispy naans were served with our dishes and fresh salad. Also served were hot baked beans and a sauce which had aubergine, onions and peppers in. The colours on the plate were brilliant. We just tucked in, tearing the naans up, throwing in the salad and lamb kebab. The meat was delicious, beautifully spiced and crumbly. I don’t think we looked at each other, so Good was the food. It was a feast for a king. Rice and chips were also available, but we couldn’t fit anymore in. It was just a proper good, tasty feed. The most criminal aspect of it all was the price...£13 including a can of Coke each! Please visit as you definitely won’t be disappointed!

The Kababs are the best served with fresh bread and salad. Before ordering you also get complementary lentil soup which is amazing! They have nice comfortable seating and clean cutlery! I have now been a few times in the same month after discovering this place and will continue to go back!

The best food to have when you are v. hungry and cold. All dishes are delicious. the price is cheap. I order 1/2 plate kabab with rice, 1/2 plate grill chicken , 2 bread, 2 tea .all for 13 GBP. The food is rich. the decoration is v. simple or below the average. when you start eating, you will forget about the decoration. First thing they serve a lentil soup, then they take your order, The kabab, rice, masala, bread, tea all are perfect . Taste of food , makes you feel at home. When I was in Manchester last Jan. , I had my dinner in this rest. every two days and back :) It was the best choice for me, especially when it was raining and the temp. was 7'
