Doner Shack in Manchester

I'm surprised about this place and the special people the special taste of food and warm welcoming of the great Manager Mr. Manchong and his great team that always ask and visit the customers asking their opinions about the food can't tell really which food is good because all what they serve is so great and delicious but my favourite dish is the kebab mix 😍

Worst place to eat Donner wrap. Over priced low quality food served by depressed, unwelcoming, sad and fed up staff. Girl with short bob cut was the most emotionless and unfriendly person on the till I've come across. Rest of the staff looked like they got out of bed and came straight to the restaurant. Actually dont even deserve a single star.

Both Imogen and Katy were both really polite and nice the food was ordered and done within 5 mins and tasted really good! Defo reccomend!!

Food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but the tiller was not very good. I wanted to take a moment to transfer money to pay the bill, but the tiller, Courtney, seemed displeased with this, and was quite impatient. There was no queue, and a single customer behind me, but she didn’t want to wait the 10 seconds and started serving the customer behind me on another till. Becky was really great, and provided great service, bringing the food to the table, correcting the order with missing items, and helping with a question I had about the menu.

I loved the service but that doner loaded fries was absolutely traumatising. Why is it so salty and dry the food got cold literally after 5minutes and the meat was so dry! Not worth 8£ for that small portion and it’s not very filling at all

The service and atmosphere were great, plenty of space to sit and everything was nice and clean. I ordered Peri Peri loaded fries. I don't like chicken so it's my fault for ordering that before asking what it is, but the meal was still decent, so I'll give it a four stars instead of three because I'm sort of biased towards chicken. The chips were about average, but the seasoning and the fresh vegetables on the loaded fries were pretty good.

The music was at an acceptional level and invited warm conversations between people at the table. The staff were respectful and the service was speedy.

Amazing! First time here, lovely ambient atmosphere so you can chill out from the hectic shopping. Very fast service too, the superb food arrived while we were stilling taking our coats off! Will definitely be visiting again from now on whenever we’re in the Arndale, I highly recommend the Peri Shawarma!

The service fit the adequate speed for a restaurants standards to fit the customers needs, the staff were respectful and offered to clean our tables and responded kindly with our conversation.

I came here about a year ago and got the doner box. Came with lots of meat and an absolute tonne of salad; lettuce, onion, red cabbage. Was very nice! Fast forward and I'm here again, same box but the salad came in a tiny pot, so smol. The food was tasty, but it felt like they skimped on the salad! Penny pinching, seems to me. Also, I wasn't told about the 30p upcharge for lemon pepper fries. I'd still have paid it but they need to be upfront about it. Overall I do recommend it as its not too pricey and tasted good

I’m coeliac (gluten free) and Katie and Imogen were incredibly helpful from the second I approached the till. They were knowledgeable on what I could eat safely immediately, and then even checked all sauces and ingredient’s allergen information thoroughly and quickly. They were very polite and helpful and I will definitely recommend Donershack as a lunch spot to my colleagues from this experience.

6 pounds for chips and a water. "Spicy chips" taste like raw potatoes dashed with ash. Ketchup is extra.

I’m a huge doner lover, so you can imagine how excited I was to try Doner Shack! With a name like that, I assumed they’d be the experts, really taking doner to the next level. Plenty of other places serve doner as part of the menu, but I was thrilled that this place specialised in it. Unfortunately, my excitement didn’t last long. When my order arrived, the chips were cold, and the doner… well, it was also cold. But the temperature wasn’t even the biggest issue - the taste and texture of the doner were just awful. It had a strange flavour, and the texture was tough and chewy. Not at all what you’d expect from somewhere called “Doner Shack.” Overall, I’m extremely disappointed. This place should be a haven for doner lovers, but it’s more like Doner Lack! If you’re a true doner fan, you might want to skip this Shack and look elsewhere. Anyone who’s given this place 5 stars needs to get their taste buds checked!

Ordered the chicken tenders as part of a kids meal. Never seen anything like it, looks like it’s been microwaved 63 times. And yes it tasted as bad as it looked. Don’t understand how a place located in the centre of arndale is allowed to serve food like this.

My first time ordering from this place didn't have any problems until i asked for no fries and was met with attitude. Questioning who hired her? Dont bother with the food no taste and very bland not to mention the price this place would be better if the staff member was nicer .

I wanted to leave a top review for this place in the Arndale as the lad working there today at lunch went above and beyond when serving my GF and I, making sure her gluten free allergy was completely catered for. He took it so seriously, giving her complete assurance there would be no cross contamination. The food was very nice too, great little place for a nice bit of donner and chips in the shopping centre, we definitely will return.

Come here regularly but would be much better if they served hot drinks and not serve cold drinks from cans.

The shawarma box was lovely, well worth the tenner. £2.50 for a can is a bit daft though. Me and the Mrs left happy, would come again.
