Kebabs, lahmacun, pita especially pita 🫠 were delicious! The flavors rival the good kebab restaurants in Turkey. Although it is difficult to get the same taste abroad, Istanbul Restaurant has achieved this, congratulations.

Bad treatment, bad service, very clear racism. I do not recommend visiting him at all, especially to our Gulf brothers. He makes you feel that it is at his expense, and you are kind to him by coming. They don't deserve even a quarter of a star

We have been a few times, the food is always great and the staff are wonderful and very tentative plus the restaurant has a great ambience. On this evening we had a medical emergency with a friend and Faz was a great help with my friend unit an ambulance arrived..we can't thank him enough, we will definitely be back x

I went here last month for a work meeting with a potential employer, and it was a disappointing experience. The food was undercooked, and the wait staff was unreliable, causing significant delays. The bartender, Heyder, seemed more focused on chatting with someone than doing his job and was quite disrespectful. I wouldn’t visit this place again.

As always the food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Our waitress was Sarah, who was very attentive and cheerful.

The restaurant is one of the best Turkish one in Manchester. Their menu is very rich. I’m happy to see vegetarian main dishes and it’s very rare in Turkish restaurants. I like they have many vegetarian options. The service was amazing today but when I was there before like few days ago, the service wasn’t good. So it might depend on something I think. The atmosphere is good as well. It’s nice to hear Turkish songs while eating delicious Turkish food in Manchester. To sum up, I highly recommend it, especially for vegetarians. Worst “turkish” food ever. I don’t even think it is genuine turkish food. Don’t go here, don’t be fooled by the reviews. Everything was tasteless. You can’t taste the meat in lahmacun, there is only a taste of tomato paste and spices. Lamb shawarma was old and crusty, it was not fresh probably 2 days old. Kebabs were mediocre at best. Everything is bland. There is no taste to anything. This was a waste of money. I am pretty sure they don’t know how to make turkish food.

It was 5 start from me for last 3 years but of today date 29.10.2024, Never go there after 09 pm, they will serve you cold food, by putting it in the oven not the fresh one from grill, many things from salad and meeze were missing upon asking they replied they changed the menu now they serve only this 😂😂,

The food is really good and tasty. We had one of the big platters for 4 people and it hit the spot. The meat was cooked perfectly and not dry. The restaurant is very clean, big with 2 floors and modernly decorated. Staff are wonderful, polite and very attentive. Free tap water, no service charge added, you can order on the app at your table and the prices are very reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will come again. FYI, the entrance is step free so suitable for disabled. Please note they don't serve alcohol here for obvious reasons.

Wanted a jumbo platter £85.95 But I wanted to exchange the rice for chips But the manager wasn’t happy about this he wanted me to pay up extra. I visited Istanbul Restaurant today with two of my friends that came from America, to serve us was Marwa a very friendly girl and smily always there and ready to help, food was great and the service provided was amazing . Will do visit again

Everything was amazing, we had chicken and lamb shish perfectly cooked, with bulgur. The waitress are very friendly and professional in the same time. The food came pretty fast and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We'll be back! 👌❤️

We went for my bday yesterday. I have been to Turkey 5 times & eaten at many Turkish restaurants in the UK ( Turkish food is v tasty ) but this place has the worst food ever. I hate to write this as the staff were lovely & speedy too. We tried grilled Sea Bass with rice ( tasted like gasoline was on the metal skewers used to grill it & rice tastes like microwave rice ). Chicken Shish zero flavour, vegetable pide ( zero flavour & no seasoning at all ), Cous cous ( zero flavour ), Falafel tasted nothing falafel & had a very poor gram flour taste. Lamb kofta zero flavour & meat chewy. Chips were so bad too, how could they get that wrong ?? The only meal that was eaten was the Meat Pide the rest of the food was left by all of us. It was £33 per head too !! Such bad value for money !!

Nice place to visit with a group of friends and family. Prices are fair for the type of restaurant this is. The food was presented nicely and cooked well. You call a waiter and someone will attend even if they are busy. I can say this confidently due to visiting here a few times and if I am close by with a few people then this will be on the list for one of the places to go to.

As returning customers we always have a great experience at Istanbul. The food and the service is really good. Our favorite server Negar always makes sure that we are welcomed and she takes care of our table every time. Very friendly lady. Overall one of our favorite places for Turkish dinning experience.

The food was nice but it was too pricey.

Vibes and food are nice. The waitresses and waiters are also great, very attentive and hospitable. The manager/owner however is a bit of a tool in my opinion. Wanted to squeeze a family of 11 people onto 2 small tables, we had a pram too. Got moody when we asked for another table to be attached. Place wasnt even busy. Lucky for him the food was amazing and his staff made up for his attitude.

We tried the lamb kebab , chicken shish kebab platter with rice , and the chefs special dish served with rice. Its amazing and tasty. 9/10 They give you complementary bread with mezze of chilli, garlic yogurt dip , olives and salads. Also tried their knafeh, which is a bit too sweet but really good, easily shareable among 3 people . And chocolate fudge cake is also good . Food is top notch , definitely recommend. Ambience is great.

Good food- order a platter which was enough for 5 people

Everything was perfect from stepping through the door to saying goodbye! On arrival we were given a warm welcome and given a table with 5 minutes, without having pre-booked! This wasn't because it was quiet, every table was filled and the atmosphere was smiles all round! We were served by our lovely waitress Nergar, who was very prompt! Our food and drinks were on the table within no time, we didn't have to wait considering it was so busy. Food was amazing and at a great price! We had the sharing platter and couldn't fault it. We look forward to coming back again soon!

A beautiful, large and clean Turkish restaurant

Served by waitress "NIGAR" we have to give her 5 * * * * * As she give us very good services. Food was very delicious 😋 Prices are little higher then the market.

We visited on the 1st of September for the first time and the food was amazing! So was the staff. We visited again on the 7th of September and the food was amazing again. In this occasion we were served by Niegar and Mariyam who were brilliant with both our young children!

The restaurant vibes are top notch and the food was undescribable, and Negar our waiter was very sweet mouthed and in overall gave us great service.

I love it! The food was the best of the best, the lamb chops melted in my mouth and it tasted superb, and the amazing service from negar, she was awesome and provided great service. 10/10

We went in on Saturday evening the service was amazing Sara sat us down immediately without a wait we got served some complimentary warm bread. There wasn’t a long wait for food at all- and the food was delish. We decided to have desserts saki came and showed his proffesional skills at cutting up our baklava it was such a great experience . We will definstley be returning as usual 🫶🏽
