Abra Kebabra in Croydon

Abra Kebabra is hands down the best place to get a kebab. Everything I have tried from their menu tastes fantastic. The lamb doner meat is perfect.. cannot be beaten! Same with the chicken shish, so much flavour and always perfectly cooked. Food is always fresh, portion sizes are quite big so very good value for money. I am also a big fan of their chilli sauce. Lots of flavour and a decent amount of heat. Staff are always friendly and polite. Same people have been running this place for many years and the quality of food has remained very high.

Best kebab ever - esp kofte kebab

Very poor hygiene very poor manners Should. Not be open in Shirley both this and the fish and chips next door are rude and disrespectful and deserve no praise for there ridiculous prices they charge and for when they don’t offer no homeless people food They should be named and shamed. Kebab there is left in the pot and served to you disgusting

Used to have the best donor meat in Croydon but it's not nearly as good now

I have been using this outlet for more than 27 years & have never been disappointed. Best in the area. Excellent food and service.... nothing else compares... fantastic value for money and they do not skimp on portions or quality

Most kebab wraps are a lot of vegetables. The meat is not very tasty and probably of poor quality

Bought lamb shish and lamb donor kebab for the first time from here. The food was good but the service could have been more friendly and with a smile.

I don’t tend to like leaving reviews however this place has left me with no choice but to leave one, I ordered food to collect they said 15 minutes which was fine when I went to collect the girl was very rude to myself and a friend and refused to hand me the food I paid for I’ve been going here for years and won’t be going again or recommending this place because of the owners daughter they have lost a loyal customer of 15 years I guess I’ll be buying my family meals from else where now

Loved the chicken doner my mates had a quater pounder and was really good chilli sauce was really nice and spicy

Probably one of the worst lamb doners I’ve had. Extremely fatty and greasy (low quality it seems) which was made worse by it being undercooked (very light brown). Their ‘famous’ chicken burger was just salt and pepper. No seasoning. Chicken shish was ‘okay’ at best. Chilli sauce was just tomatoe purée. Not chilli by any means.

These guys produce well tasty food, we regularly eat here as it is one of our favourite takeaways. The food is high quality and reasonably priced.

The food has gone down in standards. The meat kebab used to be nice they have definitely downgraded the products or supplier here the meat kebab just tastes very cheap now. Very sad as this used to be my favourite. Avoid.

Quality Kebab from a local Turkish institution...

Recently tried this Kebab shop after my local one really let me down. Decided to try different ones in the area. The staff were friendly and the food was really nice, good quantity, decently priced, the whole family enjoyed it, this will be my new go to kebab shop hopefully the standard is maintained & consistent :)

Just ordered a kebab from them as weve had them twice before and they've been lovely. However today as I opened the box for the chicken doner i was hit with the most disgusting smell, it was rancid and smelt awful. the other kebab with chicken also smelt bad, it was clearly off. Immediately threw everything into the bin including the chips because i was completely put off after that and lost my trust in the shop. Such a shame. Put in a complaint to deliveroo, they said they would contact the place to ensure this doesnt happen again and got a full refund. Mistakes happen but sadly will never trust this place again.

Haven't gone anywhere else for Kebab since I discovered them, really friendly staff and the foods always cooked so well! Their kofte is my favourite, can't get that flavour and texture elsewhere. Definitely worth a visit, do not miss out.

Me and my Russian friend Ben visited this shop Saturday night, the last time we went was 17 years ago. 17 years ago.... can you believe that ? There still the same person serving, and wow can I just say, the best kebab we had for a very long time! The place is still the same how we remember it. And we knew the place well as my friend Ben lived above the shop in his younger years. The shop actually hits abit of a soft spot because it brings back so many memories of our childhood. Keep up the good work Abra Kebabra! 10/10

Too expensive for what it is and doesn't taste that much good. They don't even ask you which size you want just they make the food and after they charge. I think would be great if you ask from before and explain you just accept cash.

Shish Kebab delicious well cooked nice chill sauce only thing pitta bread was soggy by the time I got home next time I will ask for the meat and salad in a box and I can assemble kebab at home.

Thought I'd give this place a try as I've driven pass it many times and it had been recommended to me by a friend. Had the Box Special and it was ok I suppose, I didn't think the chicken kebabs were as good as my usual kebab place

Tried this place after recommended by a friend and it was worth the visit. Quality of the food was nice and tasted good. It was slightly expensive than other kebab places but that's ok as long as the food is of good quality.

Staff are amazing and the food is the best. You have to try their burgers aswell. Freshly prepared and better than other shops.

For those who enjoy a proper kebab shop, this is for you. Kebabs are served in paper rather than polystyrene trays and for me, are better for it. There are some evenings where a large doner kebab is needed, it maybe not be what the doctor ordered, but I did. And I feel better for it.

Tasty food, worth the price, but why packed in paper and not in a box?

I had a large doner kebab from here and it is one of the best I have ever had. The chilli sauce was a bit lively though. It went through me like a train and I had to run a shallow cold bath to soak my harris in to cool it down. I would definitely have it again though and I would highly recommend this gaff

Have never spoke to someone so rude in my life! Me and my other half went to get some dinner today, (I’m exempt from wearing a mask). I go in, NONE of the staff are wearing masks. They make me wait to order and then tell me 15 mins, me and my other half wait outside. Go back in and get the food, all good and then I check the burger and they’ve put ketchup in my burger, I do not like ketchup in burgers which I made very clear when I made my order I said lettuce and cheese. My other half goes in to get my new burger, and they’ve put no cheese in it, so I go in and ask for some, he opens my burger with his bare hands. I say to him ‘ you haven’t washed your hands and your not wearing gloves? ‘. He looses his rag so I go outside and send my other half in again, he then shows my other half that he just put cheese in it, shoved it in his face and then threw the whole thing in the bin!!! He starts getting very aggressive to my other half and after another 10 mins we get the order we asked for. I get home and the box looks used, there’s two holes in it AND a bloody black hair. Never again am I going to this restaurant, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Abra Kebabra is the best kebab shop in Shirley hands down! The food is extremely succulent and tasty! My favourite kebab has to be chicken and lamb shish! You get plenty of meat and salad and the bread is divine! No hard bread here, it is soft and fresh! Great food and great service, 10/10 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👌🏾👌🏾

the kebab was banging. The texture was perfect. The flavour really exploded in my mouth and i was desperate for another after. I would defiantly eat here again despite spending 4 hours on the toilet after.

May I just had I don't know how Google knows I was at this location probably by Google Maps Icould have been going anywhere , my location should have been turned off when not using the app first and foremost. Any who may I just say I have a chicken shish a small one I'm a big guy quite greedy and it hit the spot perfectly, I had all of the salad and some chilli sauce. I have to say I have chicken shish quite a lot around London over the years as I travel for work this was probably in my tio 10 in my entire 36 years on this planet, the type of guy everything's amazing and I think I try as amazing I'm hard to please I will concede it was very nice. Yes I would highly recommend abra kebabra. This was my f. irst visit as well

Tried this takeaway kebab last night we had 1small chicken doner kebab and 1 large chicken kebab wrap it was very nice not greasy with lovely fresh salads and nice hot chilli sauce finding a decent kebab shop is a delight it is even open on a Sunday

Had two large chicken kebabs with extra chilli sauce. First time of trying this place as usual kebab shop shut for holidays and glad I did try it. Will be going back soon. Chicken cooked really well, nice thick chilli sauce (hot - we did ask for extra so, not a problem!). Salad included red cabbage and cucumber - very nice. Will be going back. Good parking as well.

It's ok.. they do nice crisp salads with their kebabs and burgers. Vegetarian options also. I'm not a fan of their chips as they are a bit thin but some may prefer these . They have sauces too.and a seated area that you can eat in or wait to take away .

Used abra kebabra for at least the last 10 years and have never had bad food from them!! Never been able to fault them but tonight it was poor. Hopefully next time they are back up to their normal high standards

Clean inside, food tastes very good ordered both a shish and kebab. A bit pricey at 8 quid for a large chicken shish though. But overall the guys and girl that serve you are friendly.

This is our local kebab and we use it at least monthly. Food is always freshly cooked and tasty. Would recommend for a quick healthy take away.
