Turquoise Kitchen in Stratford-on-Avon

Called in here for lunch whilst on holiday. Great service and great food. We had a hot sharing platter for starter, which was very nice. We had one chicken kebab and one adana kebab for mains, which we shared. Both were really good. We also had a feta salad, which was fantastic. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

A rainy Saturday in Stratford brought me in, and I'm so glad I stopped to look. The lunch special menu was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and welcoming, the food was plentiful and delicious. I didn't take any photos because I was so keen to tuck in and make a start. Very highly recommend!

Outstanding...we noticed this restaurant on several visits to Stratford outside looked good with a very enticing menu...we were certainly not let down. Beautiful decor throughout...nice and comfortable and spacious. Drinks were very nice ... A rose and a bottle of draft beer in a frozen glass (nice touch) The food what can I say I'd had an idea how I hoped it would taste and wow...it didn't disappoint...pan fried liver to start (not everyone's favourite) but loved it...warm bread with tomato. The Chicken Shish main dish with rice and salad...amazing tender chicken very flavoursome. Aubergine with Spices, rice and salad beautiful. Service was first class...timely never felt rush or pushed to order more. Will certainly be back to try more from the great menu.

Plates are big and delicious. The taste is just like what you would have in Turkey. Service is quick.

Really lovely Turkish restaurant in Stratford, just what we needed after a long drive The staff were very friendly and helpful without being in your face and the food was lovely. We had three courses and everything was delicious. Some good vegetarian options too

My wife just murmured to me that she wondered if we might move to a different table. The waiter must have overheard and immediately offered us a choice of other tables. This was just the beginning of far better service than at many fancier restaurants.

Dined on a Saturday night as a walk in. Decor is lovely, homely. Some Turkish restaurants can be quite clinical but this one lovely. Lots of waiting staff but service was a bit slow/inattentive and we had to ask for things a few times. Food was lovely and reasonably priced @ £20 for a main. Would recommend.

Lovely restaurant, food was good, small portions for price and no the meat is NOT halal, I was told 2 months ago when I paid a visit that the meat is no longer halal. Can restaurant management confirm this please. Otherwise great atmosphere.

Lovely Turkish restaurant on the Main Street in Stratford. Easy parking available in the car park located 50m from the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and decor. Lots of space available for dining- we walked in without a reservation on a weekday evening. Good selection on the menu. Very tasty food. I would recommend the meat moussaka. The Kunefe (dessert) was outstanding- made fresh to order. Slightly expensive. Servings could be a little bigger. All meat is halal.

Booked this place for a Saturday night when me and Mrs H were in town for a day and night . Reviews for this restaurant looked good and I have to agree with those I read :)) Service was great ( if maybe a little rushed in-between courses ) my only gripe really . We had the hot mezze to share and was quality . For mains we went for the mixed grill and was AMAZING , the lamb , and chicken were best I've had and the portion size was generous 💪😎 Would definitely return if was in town again

I'd been looking at this place for a year or two, but never quite made it over. We finally did and it was well worth it. Very delicious and fresh tasting food, good side portions, affordable and lovely ambience. Great staff too. A new favourite.

I am not even sure where to start. Staff maybe the most friendly staff around the world. As a Turkish, I can easily tell that the food can compete with other ones in Turkey. Great job!

We booked a table Sunday evening for a small celebration dinner. The food was tasty and well cooked. We had a selection adana kebab, lamb & chicken shish and lamb sarma beyti. We finished off our meal with a kunefe dessert which was so good. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was ok for early Sunday evening. As a side note, the menu seems to have been simplified since our first visit in late 2022. The kids meals have been reduced to 3 options, none of which include the grilled meats besides the chicken wings. We also miss our go to favourite lahmacun from here. Everyone enjoyed their meals and would come again.

Visited the restaurant as part of a celebration weekend and couldn’t be happier with our choice. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful especially Sergio. Lovely atmosphere.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local jeweller We wanted to sample either Greek or Turkish food and plumped for the latter. Beautiful decorated restaurant and the service was 1st class. The food was expertly cooked and presented. The staff were knowledgeable about the extensive menu so it made our choices easy. Definitely worth a second visit when we're next in Stratford

Excellent home cooked authentic food with generous portions. Really enjoyed the soup and all the meats. The baclava is definitely a recommendation - so nutty and buttery. Great service and will definitely come back when we are around again.

Delicious food with a relaxing atmosphere. I came here with colleagues, very hearty food. It's quite pricey. But I think it's good flavour wise and for the ambience. Helpfully serving us too.

Great lunch menu with excellent service from staff Sergo. Gluten free options. The restaurant has a very nice and authentic atmosphere. The Turkish coffee was served in a nice cup holder which I hadn't seen before. Sergo said it is an ottoman design.

we visited The Turquoise Kitchen in Stratford upon Avon on 15th March. Lovely warm welcome and very nice decor. the service was excellent and so was the service. Food was fresh and tasty, lots of colourful mixtures on our plates. We would recommend this wonderful place and will certainly be back. Thank you so much, we had a great time.

Portions much smaller than last time. New owners? Quality is good but felt underwhelmed by the size of the mixed kebab meal for £22.45. Not very much meat and a small cup of rice. Been several times before and it was noticeably smaller.

The food in this restaurant is very good, the portions are large, and the service is very good. I will come here again next time and recommend it to my friends.

Clean and cosy place for tasty food. Service is also good enough and friendly. I’d highly recommend you to finish your dinner with ‘Kunefe’ which is a delicious Turkish dessert with cheese.

Warwickshire farmers meeting to eat before the theatre, we were unsure what the menu might be! But the choices were excellent and we all had a delicious meal, beautifully presented and were impressed by the terrific friendly service!

We had a Terrible experience on valentine night wish we didn’t book this restaurant it took 45 minutes for starter to arrive and after we finished starter then a lady gave us dessert cutlery but we have ordered the main before lack of experience waiters and lack of English they are not bothered about the guests at the restaurant its like we had to tell them what to do! Starter we had was ok but not the best but the main course is terrible i did not even take a second bite! The whole main wasted they walked past our table so many times but not one single waiter asked me if everything was okay and at the end they charged us full plus services charges what a joke!! We do Not recommend this place for special occasions.

Great food at reasonable prices. We went on a Sunday and were able to get a seat without booking which was great. The service was professional and prompt and the meals were as authentic as could possibly be. Vegetarians are catered for too. The lunch special during the week is great value too!

Fantastic restaurant! They went above and beyond for us, we were a party of 25! They ensured from start to finish we were taken care of. Great food and service Good value for money

A lovely Turkish restaurant leaning towards a more upscale ambience. This definitely is heavier on your wallet than a small family run Turkish restaurant in the UK but the food is definitely worth it. If you visit for lunch, you do get combo meal options for 2 or 3 courses which are really worth it. The grilled chicken wings and chicken casserole are some of my favorites and please do try the baklava (chefs kiss). One of the best baklavas I've ever had the privilege of eating!

Visited Stratford Upon Avon for first time..wanted something different…wow…this is a brilliant restaurant…fresh chicken shish was delicious…with a lovely fresh feta salad with it with a lovely dressing..wasn’t expecting the food to be so good!!…I’m a real foodie and hate eating rubbish…every now and again you stumble upon a gem!…this is one of them!

Stopped by this afternoon for some lunch and it’s was honestly the best dining out experience I’ve had for a while ! Absolute first class food !

Me and my friend were visiting the Christmas market. We had the lunch time special, very good value for money.. Everything about this experience was good. Would highly recommend visiting this place. Although we didn't have long to wait I would recommend booking a table. Well worth it!

The food was ok but we were the only diners in there so it was a poor atmosphere. Drinks are expensive too. I wasn't happy that a 10% charge was added to our bill on top of the menu price with out asking, sharp practice. Wont be going back.

The food was very varied made with good quality ingredients. Fitted us in as a party of 14 with a pre booking deposit. Staff made us feel very welcome. Good selection of Turkish wines too that you could try! Maitre’d was ‘on the ball’! Well worth a try!

Went for Saturday lunch. Didn't book in advance but just turned up. Great welcome and outstanding service coupled with delicious lunch special. What's not to like? Ask for Sergio, he's a star.

Been meaning to visit this restaurant for a while and was not disappointed. Delicious mixed grills , the best chicken tagine I’ve ever had , generous portions and friendly service. Also excellent value lunch time 2 course or 3 course menu. Great too for kids who can have chicken and fries etc. My older son loved the mixed grill. Also a beautiful restaurant with very comfortable seating. Can’t wait to return .

What a wonderful treat on a late and cold November evening. We were given the warmest welcome, the atmosphere lively and the menu inviting We were given an impromptu wine tasting. Three delicious Turkish wines all beautiful and reasonably priced, we chose a bottle of Yakut which matched our food choices perfectly. The babaganoush, and ispanak tarator starter was beautiful and we were given an additional starter of the most tasty chilli dip and yoghurt with fluffy fresh bread. We took Sergios advice on the chefs specials and had lamb sish and yoghurt and lamb casserole everything was fresh, delicious and authentic. We ordered a medium Turkish coffee and received complimentary pastries and Turkish delight, they were so beautifully prepared. It was the most amazing night made very special by the kindness, warmth and professionalism of Sergio. We will most definitely be back, it was the highlight of our trip Thank all you so much. We visited Turquoise Kitchen for the first time this evening. It is a lovely set out restaurant with friendly staff who offered a warm welcome. The service was excellent, and the food looked and tasted delicious. We both had starters and a main each, at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be returning for another visit. Visiting Stratford for the weekend, we passed Turquoise on the first night after eating elsewhere. It was busy, so we thought we'd come back the next day for lunch. The lunch fixed price menu offer was a bargain, 5 of us each had 2 courses for £14.95, which was a definitely VFM considering the mains available in the fixed price menu cost more than that on their own. Food was well presented, tasty and filling, and service very friendly. The Stratford food festival was on, and given the choice between Turquoise or Mac 'n' Cheese in a box for £12, Turquoise won :).

Looking for somewhere to eat we came across the Turquoise Kitchen and are so glad we did. The food was really well presented and very tasty. We ate the mixed hot mezze to start with and I really recommend it. The main course was delicious too - I chose Imam Biyaldi which was lovely. We finished with a Turkish coffee and a fresh mint tea. Service was polite and efficient.
