Great Turkish good and enjoyable atmosphere. It's a fun restaurant to visit

Booked this restaurant for a meal and an annual catch up with my brother's who I haven't seen for a year. Excellent food but was not aware of the live Queen / Tina Turner act which completely ruined the evening, couldn't even hold a conversation and the act was rubbish and amateurish anyway, ruined the evening!?!!

The meat dishes here are simply delicious. I had lamb and aubergine kebab and my wife had the chicken shish. Both were so tasty and tender. I ordered a Belgian chocolate sponge for sweet, which turned out to be about 3 times the size I expected and I had to concede defeat. On a second visit the food was equally as good, still generous. My main was a little slow to arrive - I didn't complain or think much of it - but unprompted they gave me a large glass of wine! Excellent. Update: Took a group here for dinner, and the food and service were great again. However, be warned that in a Saturday night you may be treated to an unexpected and slightly bizarre entertainment! Another faux pas from Zeytin. I complained previously for very similar issue, but happened again unfortunately. My wife ordered ‘Halloumi Casserole’ from Deliveroo. Tiny portion, missing rice, stone cold and tasted awful. Bread was really stale. It went in the bin.

Another disappointing order from Zeytin!!! What an earth is this and no rice again!!! This is the halloumi casserole from their deliveroo menu, cold, over cooked, no sauce and shoddy portion. Took 1 hour and 20mins. It’s actually inedible! Weirdly different to their halloumi spinach if you order through them direct which is also a disappointing service. Bread also stale. We have always ordered through you but unfortunately not again.

The food was not tasty like before, the chicken and lamb was very salty. There was no salt at all in chicken liver. For the price paid the quality is very low

Had a pre. Christmas meal with 15 friends. My food was nice, I had Adana. Two of my friends ordered the lasagna and it was cold in the middle. Obviously not freshly cooked but heated up in a microwave. The waitress was made aware and it was taken back to the kitchen. It came back a second time cold. The friend then decided to have something else and this meant she ate on her own because her food took so long to arrive. The service was not good, drinks were forgotten and never arrived. There was now apology. My friend didn’t pay for her meal, however this wasn’t offered by the staff, we insisted. The pudding menu is awful, mainly frozen factory made desserts. I had ice cream and it had lumps of ice in it, obviously been thawed and refrozen. I cannot recommend this restaurant, poor overall.

Was very busy Saturday night.. Quite a few of us.. Food was lovely and a good sized portion.. I would definitely go again but on a quieter evening..

Do not go here if you have allergies. I am celiac and made them aware. When eating my food I became unwell. I then realised that what I thought was a thin piece of paper which my meat was sitting on was actually a wheat flour piece of wrap. When I told the staff, they pretended they didn't understand what I was trying to say and kept telling me that the wrap was ok as its vegetarian! . I asked to see the ingredients on packet and it showed in big writing wheat flour. Two days later I am still suffering. They asked me if I had an allergy when ordered and they even wrote this down to the chef. So unfair and will be taking this further

Service was fine, but the food was a let down. Small portions. Wife had chicken something but with a very few small bits of chicken but way out numbered but larger lumps of diced bread.

Had a reunion with a group of friends on a Saturday night, had booked a table at another Turkish restaurant but badly let down by them at the last minute, the less said the better. Made our way to Zeytin more in hope than expectation. Have to say they were so accommodating towards the nine of us, although the place was rammed they found two tables for us very promptly, the service was amazing given how busy they were. The food top notch, attentive staff making our meal a pleasurable experience. Then came the entertainment and all I can say is it was brilliant and hilarious, a real sing along and later a great time had by many getting up on their feet to dance and sing the night away. 10 out of 10 ❤️

I did take my lovely friends at Zeytin restaurant for their very first time. The welcome and the food presentation was extremely great. Definitely a place to recommend for a dine in as original Turkish food.

Amazing Staff and food. The restaurant was hosting a show and had disco lights on as I’m epileptic the lights were a risk to me. The staff moved us upstairs to accommodate my disability. The food was DELICIOUS! And the vibes were great, not a bad word to say.

This place is a hidden gem for sure and the food is amazing. The Adana kebab is full of flavour and the bulgar rice is beautiful too. I will return and I recommend anyone to try this place. The lunch menu is the best bargain I have since and it is served until 4pm So don’t miss out.

Our receipt showed some free bread which we didn’t receive, I wish we had got it as usually really nice! It is quite chilly in the outside seating as there are some drafts. Cocktails did not taste like they had alcohol in when they were supposed to. Chicken was delicious and so was the rice, but the side salad seemed old. We saw the boss tap a young waitress on the bum with a plate which is very inappropriate and makes me worry about what goes on out of view if that is what happens on the floor…

Visited with a group of friends on a Friday night. Atmosphere was noisy with everyone enjoying themselves. Food was excellent, generous portions and without much delay. The visit to your table by Freddy Mercury & Tina Turner (tribute act) makes this a fun evening.

Visited last night 19th October, have been before and restaurant was brilliant, however this visit, we were seated upstairs, there seemed no structure in the waiter's/waitresses, they got our orders wrong, we were missing starters, the main arrived when the plates from starters were still on table, I explained we hadn't had all the starters, a female manager came up and apologised, another couple walked out before their drinks arrived, the table of 4 next to us had wrong orders, it was a total shambles, what made it worse was watching a waitress just standing there updating her social media and sucking her hair...... I don't normally complain, however it was beyond a joke, how disorganised the staffing was, and some of the food was not hot, I won't be returning

Visited this evening for a birthday celebration. Could not be more pleased with the place, the service and the food. The food was delicious and plentiful. Lots of choices on the menu and everyone enjoyed their choices. Handed over a cake and candles when we arrived and it duly appeared at the appropriate moment. Big thanks to the staff for helping us to have a great evening. Will definitely be going again in the future.

Usually, zeytin is top-notch restaurant for foods that are exceptionally good ,but sanitation is not well-demanded and there are so many flies that is actually disgusting. Actually, foods and service are better. Nevertheless, they should implement the problem with flies and sanitation.

Came here with my family had a fantastic night , the food and atmosphere was perfect and the entertainment so good ! We were laughing so much , he is such a great showman that works there and really makes the place come alive !

Wow!!!!! Outstanding food! I came alone during a work trip, the staff were so warm and professional. Incredible attention goes into the dishes and it really shows, even the side salad was delicious with minimal dressing. I got the lamb shank, it's a house special for a reason. Divine!

Had a great meal last night - really good food, served pretty quickly considering a very full restaurant! A lovely atmosphere and attentive service. Would certainly recommend though it did seem a little expensive. Also - a word of warning that Friday and Saturdays are music nights from 8:30 (we didn’t realise) so our quiet meal for two to chat got a little derailed by Freddie Mercury arriving and I Want To Break Free suddenly blasting out of speakers very loudly - but it was all good fun and we sang along for a bit. It just wasn’t what we were expecting. Thanks Zeytin for a lovely meal 🙂

Excellent food, good service but we were the only ones in the main restaurant for over an hour!

Good food and decent service. Moreover, with there being an Asda supermarket and another car park nearby, there are no issues with parking.

Attended with a large group for a significant birthday meal. The service was slick and attentive. The food was excellent and authentic; clearly crafted by a talented chef and team. As we were a large group we had shared selections. The starters were served in lots of bowls on large wooden trays of both hot and cold dishes. The main courses were also shared so were served on long platters. Half way through, lights were dimmed and the entertainment started. If this was what you were expecting then it was great fun. Most of ladies ended up having a group dance lesson. All in all a superb meal and location for a celebration. Might not be ideal for a quiet, romantic dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. But the food quality and quantity would tempt me on any occasion.

On the whole the food was good although my yogurt lamb dish came with more croutons masquerading as lamb than lamb itself. The main issue was the noise it was overbearing and non stop even when we were the last 4 people in the restaurant. A restaurant is not a nightclub. Based on our experience we will never return..

We hadn’t been for some time as our previous experience was not great thanks to the waitress who was serving us. She was miserable and we really felt as though she had somewhere better to be. Fast forward to our most recent visit and all faith has been restored by Amy! This young woman REALLY knows how to perform in the customer service sector and was excellent in every way while serving us. A true asset to any restaurant. The unfortunately the tipping method at Zeytin means, unless you tip with cash, the servers don’t receive the full amount and for staff this good, the owner should rethink this policy. Anyway, this visit, excellent food, and exceptional service.

Absolutely love this restaurant.... Delicious authentic Turkish food with wonderful staff. If you visit on a Friday or Saturday night the entertainment is brilliant. Highly recommend and I will most definitely be going back .

I went on a retirement do..the staff were swift and super smiley polite. Loveliest mediterranean tastes varied dishes had between about 25 of us so tried lots. Drinks all made well too. Then the entertainment was hilarious...didnt want to leave...went downstairs great had a little disco boogie! Going back again lovely place...walked past it for years! Who knew!

After checking out the many Turkish restaurants online in Horsham I decided on this place and I was very glad I did. The food and service were excellent and it was exactly what I was looking for.

Lovely atmosphere, felt like I was in the Mediterranean. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. Would go there again!

Absolutely appalling experience at zeytin horsham this evening. We waited 2 hours for our meal, with no prior warning of a wait, no explanation and no reductions to our bill. When asked to discuss this with the manager, the managers brother came out and YELLED at my family member in front of the whole restaurant including saying "baby, 15% take it or leave it". How dare you speak to someone like that. Such disrespectful behaviour towards anyone let alone a customer is unacceptable. The fact he had the audacity to say that after we'd waited 2 hours to be served is ridiculous. I was shocked by the experience and I would ask that everyone thinks twice about dining here. The arrogance and misogyny encountered by this man, is that of someone who doesn't care at all about the customer. Instead is happy to push his luck and see what he can get away way with. He should not have anything to do with hospitality.

It was really good! Would definitely recommend the vegetable moussaka and pistachio pastry dessert!

Food is incredible. Particularly the Hummus starter and the complimentary balloon bread. The chicken and lamb mixed grill main is the best in Horsham by miles, portion sizes large. I went for my third time ever tonight and can safely say that is the best value for money in the area and have come away each time completely satisfied. Friendly and helpful staff too. Will be back again soon 👍🏼

From arrival to the end of our meal Zeytin were great. Quality of food didn't stop quantity so we were pretty full when we left! Staff were attentive without being pushy. A lovely meal in great surroundings.

We visited Zeytin with the in-laws last Tuesday for the very first time since we moved to Horsham about 2 years ago. I just wish we had done it sooner. The food so tasty and the portions are really generous and very well presented too. The service is really friendly, Ayaz is fantastic with children. We are quite particular about our food and taste and we cannot fault the staff at Zeytin. From start to finish we had an amazing time. The Chicken Sultan was one of the best dishes we’ve had in years! We will be back!!

Delicious food and the amazing Diana recommended some gorgeous dishes to try and all share! The entertainment is just fab, a real feel good venue and what an amazing place to be able to have in Horsham! Highly recommend!!!

Had dinner there once, food was really dry - we ordered the flatbread, and were really disappointed. Wanted to give them another change and order for delivery and delivery never came. They kept lying on the phone telling is it was our for delivery and finally confessed they made a mistake and did not prepare it. Appalling customer service really, never again.

Very unimpressed due to constant flashing lights as someone with epilepsy. Over 2 hours of this and no actual light accept for flashing disco lights. Far too loud and staff was not understanding at all. Over all was a very disappointing experience, you would think somewhere like this would be accessible for someone with a disability.

We we're a party of 12 celebrating a Hen Do last night. What an absolute hidden treasure this venue is. We were served by Ayaz and he was excellent! The food was delicious, but the entertainment was the best I've seen in a long time. Such a friendly atmosphere. We will be back. Thank you Zeytin 😊

Just finished a lovely meal here. The chicken shish was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the mezzes with the bread fresh out of the oven were the perfect starter. For dessert I’d recommend either the lemon cheese cake or baklava. Our host Umit was very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again.

Went today for a lunch as I regularly go there for evenings, and get take away often too. I was expecting the same quality and great service I was used too at Zeytin. Well this time was a different atmosphere. Had 3 course for £12.95, I thought it will be a smaller portion but when the food came out I was very disappointed. The lettuce had seen better days, when starting to turn brown then we know is not fresh. The meat was over cooked and dry (chicken shish). For dessert I ordered Tiramisu, which was ok until I discovered a huge piece of white plastic under my teeth, nearly cut my tongue. So I called the waiter over to show him the plastic I found in my food. His answer was well we don’t make this here actually, so you want another one? He literally did not care, I felt very embarrassed to be honest. He brought another one out and disappeared. When I wanted to pay literally no one was around so I walked over to the counter and then I saw one staff member having food another one sitting by the table. There was zero service or attention to me as a costumer, not a single person asked if I was happy with the food. Another thing worth to mention. Please change your drinks menu for a clean ones, they are extremely sticky and dirty, not nice to touch. Freshly printed lunch menus would be a great idea too as the one I had handed today looked like they were chewed by a dog before. Small things can make difference! I always used to recommend this place but after today’s visit I won’t. It’s a shame really!

Your lucky to have character like that ! , well Took us in , set the best Experiance dining possible . The staff were amazing tbh, and the food no well tasty ! Out shopping today With my mum, Angie from Deja reccomended us to try Zeytin for lunch, wow she was not wrong. The food is so freshly cooked, beautiful flavours. We had the set lunch menu and its amazing value for money. We are sending our family here soon. I loved how authentic it feels. Thank you we will be back again xx

Went here for my son's birthday! Read some reviews saying the service was poor! Couldn’t be the opposite. The service was great. The food was very tasty. I had the Sea bass and my family had the sharing platter. Going back

I visited for some dinner and drinks over the weekend with some old friends, really nice food and the atmosphere was lovely, lots of fun, loads of happy faces. The service was great we were served by a young lady I believe her name was Amy, soo helpful, very efficient and always with a smile on her face honestly just such a pleasure, will 100% be returning. Thank you.

Really nice environment with lovely staff. Came for my cousins 18th and was such a vibe. Bartender Alex makes the best cocktails and so chatty and polite. Had such a nice time!

First time at Zeytin's as first time in Horsham to see a show with friends. We chose the Zeytin's family special and added a couple of side dishes. We all thought the food, cocktails and staff were great. Public car park very close by.

4.6 stars? The people of Horsham must be easily pleased. The food here was average. The service however was disgraceful. The staff, especially the man with the beard, was just so rude. I think he would greatly benefit from a short course in learning how to deliver half decent customer service. They brought our mains out 75 minutes after starters and said ‘sorry we’re just busy’. Are you busy or have you mismanaged your capacity, staff and kitchen? Honestly, avoid this place, there’s plenty of other decent Turkish restaurants around. We also all asked for ketchup and mayo and the guy came back with 2 small sachets of ketchup and 3 small sachets of mayo for 4 people! How incredibly tight. It shows your exactly where this establishments priorities lie. I’m appalled.

Have been several times and have always enjoyed this Turkish restaurant. But everything has gone downhill and yesterday’s lunch was appalling. They didn’t have my booking and the one waitress on service could have tried being more friendly to make up for their mistake. Met friends and asked for two platters of mixed Meze; the cold ones were tired and the hot ones re-heated, left-overs; thank goodness for the bread and salad. They either need to up their game or close at lunchtime – not pleasant at all.

Please pay attention to the notes!!!! You need to give more Garlic and Chilli sauce! I requested with the order.

We came for lunch for the first time with my mother-in-law yesterday. I have never seen her eat so much! 😅 The place has a good atmosphere, our waiter was friendly and the decor made us feel like booking a holiday in Turkey asap! The food was great including vegetarian options and yummy pistachio cake! ‘Mr Kamal’ and I will be back! 😉

My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch. Most of the food was alright. The mussels were nice, so was the Turkish bread, which was lovely. The borek roll was tasty and my husband liked the Sujuk sausage, although I did not - it was rather over-processed for my tastes. The most disappointing item for me was the babaganoush. It tasted nothing like it to me and had none of that lovely smoky taste of aubergine, which babaganoush usually has. To be honest, it tasted like it had mayonnaise in it, which would be totally wrong for this dish, but I could not be sure. It was just a bit weird. The restaurant was quiet, although it was mid-week lunchtime which may explain why. I don’t know what it’s like in the evening, but I hope it has more atmosphere.

I went there with my dad. We had a walk around Horsham as he came to visit me in UK. We saw the place from outside how it looks which it looks really intersted but when we decide to go inside a waiter or whatever he is with a bad attitude welcome us with a bad look. I ask him polite if we can have a table for 2 for some coffes and couple of beers and he reply back with a big NO cause we need to have at least a starter if we want a table. I didn t expected on that and we left the place straight away. So sad…. We will never comeback in there just because of the attitude of the staff.
