A fantastic greeting on arrival. The Thai Bar & Restaurant is a clean and modern place with views of the Kitchen where you can see the food being prepared and cooked. My wife had Fish Cakes and I had Tom Yum for starters which were great, for mains we had Prawn Yellow Curry, Duck Pad Kra Pow & Papaya Salad. On this occasion we had Jasmine Tea but our next visit will be by train so we can sample the interesting Cocktail list. Having had food cooked by Benjarwan before (Bens Kitchen) her team at The Thai Bar &: Restaurant follow her great standards. At the end of our meal we were extremely surprised to find that our table had been selected at random and our total bill was on the house. A big thanks to the Thai Bar & Restaurant, Benjarwan & her staff. The restaurant is a 48 mile return journey for us but we will be back ขอบคุณ 🙏

2 very good express lunches at £12.50 per head...Tom Yum Gai soup for TT...Mrs TT enjoyed 3 Thai fish cakes...soup full of flavour and just spicy enough. Then Pad Thai chicken... Good blend of the noodles, chicken and veggies. Mrs TT ate chicken Massaman with jasmine rice...all eaten up eagerly.Prawn crackers offered while we waited for the food to be prepped..excellent. Call it 4.5 blobs as the decor is a bit basic. All in all seems a good addition to TTs roster of local places to visit. Oh, and with a soda and lime plus a good jasmine tea ( a big plus always for TT) the bill didn't quite get to £28. Value indeed and well recommended by TT.

For my penultimate meal in 2022 my friend and I decided to try this charming place in the west end . Overall it was a great experience. The inside had a lovely decor with a great atmosphere . The staff were very friendly and attentive . The food was really good . We went for sharing plates which consisted of salt and chilli chicken wings , onion rings , vegetable gyoza , chilli chicken bao buns and pork burnt ends loaded fries . Each portion was very tasty and bursting with flavour. My favourite plates were the salt and chilli boneless chicken and the bao buns . The total bill including drinks came to £44 which is really good. If you are looking for Asian fusion cuisine in the west end then definitely check this place out .

Visited on 13.11.24 for a few drinks for a meet up event in the bar.The atmosphere was pretty good and service seems fine.I never ordered food so I can't judge on that tho I noticed the decorations were cool and Trendy and we're Very well staffed to deal with how busy it was.

Had high hopes for this place, but when I arrived to collect my order I had to wait ~10 min for sometime to show up—the place was totally empty. Would have been able to overlook this if the food had been better, but prawn red curry was mostly flavorless and covered in a slick of oil—pretty unappetizing. Prawns themselves were also undercooked, although the serving was generous. Maybe an off night but I won’t be ordering again.

Went today for lunch. Two people. We had booked a reservation and arrived at front entrance/ground floor. No one on reception. There was a sign that said ‘wait to be seated’. We waited and no one appeared. We then wandered upstairs to be met by staff who didn’t check our reservation and just sat us at a table. The place was cold, heaters were not on. We were given water then waited for at least 20 mins for an order to be taken and that was only after catching the waiters attention. I ordered tapas and my partner order a two course meal. The tapas came with his first course then he watched me eat. We had to ask the waitress to bring out his main and by then I was finished so had to watch him eat. The staff seemed to be all over the place with no clear guidance to what each of their roles were or what tables they were assigned to. Seems there is no management or leadership and people are just left waiting. Even when we asked for the bill we had to ask twice to pay. It’s a shame because the restaurant has so much potential. Great location and good venue with nice food but with the service being so poor we won’t be returning.
