BKK Thai in Glasgow City

Just excellent as always. Can’t recommend this enough

Had high hopes for this place, but when I arrived to collect my order I had to wait ~10 min for sometime to show up—the place was totally empty. Would have been able to overlook this if the food had been better, but prawn red curry was mostly flavorless and covered in a slick of oil—pretty unappetizing. Prawns themselves were also undercooked, although the serving was generous. Maybe an off night but I won’t be ordering again.

Went to this cafe with high expectation, the reality of what I got was very different, poor service and a very bland watery red curry, far worse than even the average Chinese takeaway.

Amazing food but ready late for collection. Give extra time if ordering at peak times.

very impressed by the food . we had 6 starters and 6 main courses - the curries, noodles and stir fry were all were really good. nice size portions and very reasonable price. Was my first time ordering from BKK - will definetely be returning.

Food was delivered late despite being pre-ordered though they did send a message to tell us it wouldn't be on time. Quite disappointed. Very very bland food. Thai curry was quite watery and insipid. Not much flavour anywhere which was quite a let down. Our fist time using here so maybe we caught it on a bad night?

If you want Thai delivered you CANNOT do better. Ordered here many tines and never disappointed

Unfortunately the food here was really disappointing. The tofu and the red Thai curry were both SO bland and the sauces were really watery and tasteless. It’s a shame as this is an independent restaurant that wanted to love but it sadly it was really, really poor!! (The vegetarian dumplings and spring rolls were nice but, again the sauces that accompanied them were like water... we actually used our own sweet chilli sauce instead).

The soup and starters were superb but the curries were drowned in oil. Would probably skip the curry and just get the Tom Ka soup next time.

Always love ordering from here. something slightly different from the usual weekly chinese. Food is always amazing, the spring rolls are the perfect size, the massaman curry was so nice, pad thai is also a really nice one!

Our food was almost 25 minutes later than the first time we were given, and 15 mins later than the updated time. We out our order in before the restaurant was open so it should have been one of the first orders made. By the time the food came our young child was starving- an accurate delivery time should have been given when we ordered.

Everything from the restaurant was really good, however there was a problem with the delivery time. We asked 2115 and that's what I believe we got from just eat, however the time given when we looked into the order later was 1745. The restaurant rectified this by resending the order.

The worst thai i have ever had. Actually top 3 of the worst takeaways ive ever had. Overpriced and small portions. I asked for an extra soy sauce, and i ended up getting one less sauce than i was meant to get. The dumplings were not edible and just tasted of congealed uncooked fat. Curry was full of oil and colour but no taste. No delivery updates at all. Only good thing was the prawn crackers. Nothing worse than being hungry and excited for a meal and being let down. Dont even waste your time or money!

Pros: food is very tasty. Prices good- Delivery timing was good also. Cons: very stingy portions- only 2 spring rolls, half a tub of rice and lacking chicken in the mains. I would order again but maybe double the rice and spring rolls.

Bit pricey but excellent food. Portion sizes for starters and extras could be improved.

Bland, bland, bland. I know we are unusual times but had a Pad Thai ( only 2 prawns in a main course prawn pad thai) and chicken curry. Not great, and we've had much better from this place previously. Rice overcooked and very small portion, and prawn crackers again lacking flavour.

Have ordered many times, unfortunately some issues today as the Pork Grapow had zero Holy Basil or Chillies in it. Disappointing as that is all the flavour of the dish, hopefully a one off...

In fairness, there were some nice flavours in the 2 main dishes ordered and the crackers were yummy! A particular highlight were the prawns which were large and definitely understated on the menu! However, the green Thai curry had without doubt the most watery sauce I've experienced...very disappointing 😒

The food was super but they forgot one of our orders which we had been charged for (beef Penang)

Prawn Tempura was great and the Thai Green Curry was very excellent

It was only 5 mins late and given current climate, totally acceptable. Pad Thai could have been warmer but everything else was perfect. Second time I’ve ordered, prices are also great for Thai food. Keep up the good work guys, and stay safe <3

Delicious. Right level of spicy (Not too mild but not blowing your head off). Food delivered slightly later than estimated on Just eat app, probably due to the exceptional circumstances of these current times.

Had the Pad Thai which was quite spicy. It was good value but I'll probably not order from here again.

Arrived early, hot and delicious. They are consistent with their food quality. Exact same meal two weeks in a row and can not fault them.

First time trying BKK Thai and certainly the last. Tofu pad thai was a flavourless disappointment, the spring rolls were burnt on the outside and a soggy oily tasteless mess in the middle (mostly vermicelli with a little carrot), the prawn tempura and vegetable dumplings were the only edible dishes but certainly below average. Would not recommend.

Perfectly happy with the Thai curries. They were tasty and a reasonable size. Thai chicken meatballs a wee bit disappointing.

Everything was lovely except one order was wrong! Instead of prawn and pineapple rice, I received king prawn! It was still nice but not what I wanted! The order was pay cash and the delivery man though friendly, super nice and helpful but didnt have a full kitty for change so had to go away to get change and come back!

A small gem of the weet end. We LOVE thai food and after being disappointed by numerous 'thai' restaurants /take aways, BKK cafe just simply a delight! The food has been consistantly good quality with reasonable prices. Their spring rolls and wontons and salted squid starters are just amazing - GUARANTEED crispy yet soft in the middle, beautifully seasoned. The quality of their food is amazingly consistantly fresh, vibrant, never have been disappointed every single time! We frequent a couple of major thai restaurants such as thai Siam and chaophraya, but don't think any other restaurants/takeaways have been able to deliver such a consistancy ever! If you havent try it and love thai food, then THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. Great quality fresh food without a big price tag , whatelse would you want?! Once again, well done BKK cafe!

Most of the food was nice however in the chicken dish there was meant to be cashew nuts and they were none. Also picked up the food and had to 20 minutes more than the stated collection time.

I tried to order the tofu pad Thai but it was unavailable so I ordered the green tofu curry. It was nice and spicy and had good flavour!

The squid dish we ordered was as good as inedible, very bizarre taste with mushy clumps of breadcrumbs or possibly batter swimming in oil together with uncoated squid rings, if this was meant to be breaded or battered something went horribly wrong in the kitchen. What a shame, we won't be ordering from them again. We had a delivery from BKK quite a while ago and it was much, much better, maybe it has changed hands?

Prices are great, delivered right on time, but the quality of the food was poor, I was really disappointed with my beef curry - tasted nothing like Thai food.

There was a mix up with the delivery address and when I called to ask where my food was it was re-delivered within 10 minutes by a very apologetic driver.

My friend surprised me by taking me to BKK this evening for dinner, and I am so happy that he did! The service was excellent, we were seated straight away and our order was taken promptly. Following that we were brought a plethora of delicious dishes, the portions of which were incredibly generous, tasty and good value for money. Once we had finished I ordered a coffee, to which the waiter asked if I would like a dessert to accompany it, of course I couldn't resist HOMEMADE ITALIAN PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA GELATO! This was topped off my a slice of Nutella brownie, which I was gifted free of charge. Absolutely blown away by this restaurant's quaintness, quality and moreover the kindness of the staff in this family ran restaurant. Tornerò fra po, grazie mille!

Wonton was pretty good. Beef Penang could have more spices and use a different cut of beef and the noodles were a little too soft (probably pre-cooked a bit before frying).

The meals we had were very good and were ready for collection on time. Would've liked a bit more spice, but will plan to request this specifically next time we order. Recommended for Thai food!
